OK, I am Meggie's best friend AND BIGGEST FAN - and may I say that she is the most beautiful, kind, warm, caring person in my life! I am SO proud of what she has accomplished - I watched her transformation from the start. YAY MEGAN!!!!!!!!
Thanks again to Kayla for making me feel so welcome during my interview! I was a bit nervous at first, but then it just felt like talking with a friend. 😊 I would definitely recommend having a chat with her to anyone who is considering it. It was a lot of fun! 😊
I did much the same as this lady, cut out all starches and bread. I now use OMAD to maintain my healthy weight. I'm vegetarian and avoid Dairy. Biggest obstacle to weight loss in my experience, is pressure from other people to eat the same as them.
Everyone has a different makeup, physically and mentally. At sixty I decided to lose 35 pounds. I am 5 11 so I can carry more weight. But I was tired of the spare tire and I was also committed to eating more Whole Foods. No animals. I have never really been a meat eater so cutting out meat wasn’t a challenge. I lost 30 pounds in five months. I was eating 1400 calories a day. I loathe counting calories. I saw Kayla’s video’s and she was so inspiring so I tried IF. I have been doing it since 2016. At one point I did OMAD. The longest fast for me was 40 hours. I currently do 18/6. That seems to work best for me. More normal than one meal a day. And I am totally Whole Foods plant based. I am now 67 and have maintained 148-150 weight. I take no medications except B 12 daily. I have always walked for an hour every week day (and most weekends) since 1993 when my dad had open heart surgery. I walk to keep my heart healthy. I love Kayla. She is such an inspiration and a delight. Thank you, Kayla! The woman you interviewed today has over come so much. I said a prayer for her❤
I enjoyed this interview. I’ve been doing OMAD for almost a year doing very well (needed to loose 15 pounds) but about 3 months ago I traveled back to the States to be with my family; turned out to be a very stressful time and I totally went off my OMAD gaining 10 pounds. I’m back in Argentina were I now reside and back on my OMAD. My goal is to loose the 10 pounds in 2 months. I’m also planning to do between 5 to 10K steps per day.
Thank you for posting this video. I like Meggie’s honesty about starting this journey because of the fatty liver scare and the benefits of OMAD is less sciatica pain. I have followed Kayla for over 4 years and always found nuggets of wisdom in her relaxed and entertaining videos. Like Meggie, I have lowered my triglycerides, reverse gum disease, acid reflux and asthma.
IF is working for me for sure. Need to drink more water though. I will not do keto. Have tried it and it doesn't work for me. I am plateauing now though, so I am exercising more, got into a small pair of jeans, did measurements and things to increase my motivation. Keeping healthy is my goal.
Question for MEGAN - re your carnivore plan ….. is this OMAD? Do you do any carbs at all on your version of carnivore? Great interview! Very motivating!
Hi Wow Wow Wow Amazing 80 pound in 6th month Wow, what a lucky you are Please can you tell me you said you just started cornivore but when did you start what you were eating so lose that much weight? Did you do work out? Please give some details? You did clean fast or dirty Thanks
Megan seems like a decent, caring person and I was very excited to hear her story. But once she mentioned going carnivore I tuned out. How odd that a person can have a job where compassion seems mandatory, but has no compassion whatsoever for animals. Such a shame. Not to mention the detrimental affects of meat on the cardiovascular system. I don't believe she did anyone any favors by telling her story.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I have recently learned how many animals die with commercially grown vegetables...rodents, rabbits, bugs, etc. So many thousands of different types of animals. I am doing a 30 day with carnivore to break a stall, but I did not do it without a lot of research on pros and cons first. Once reaching my goal, I will do mostly keto. You do you though. I wish you the best.
@@megantillman2824 Your information about animals killed during vegetable farming is incorrect and you most likely got it from someone promoting a carnivore diet. It's an idea that has been debunked many times. But let's just say for the sake of argument that it is true...the majority of plants grown around the world are grown to feed farmed animals. That has been the case for decades.. If you actually cared about the animals killed while farming vegetables you would give up eating meat. You are promoting a diet that every educated cardiologist, oncologist, nephrologist and nutritionist knows leads to cardiovascular disease. Meat is the primary source of saturated fats. Do you have a cardiologist? If so, ask them about it. Also, you have children, and perhaps you have now, or someday will have grandchildren. If you cared about the environment that your children and grand children are going to inherit, you would stop eating meat and supporting the meat industry. Do your homework. The facts about this are definitive. 80% of the deforestation of the amazon rain forest as well as the rain forest in the congo go to growing food for, and raising, farmed animals. Again, as I said in the previous post, you claim yourself to be a christian, which in my book stands for compassion. But your compassion stops at people. The seventh day adventists of loma linda california are christians who don't eat meat and they are the longest livied group of people on the planet...read about the "blue zones". Watch the documentary on youtube called "Earthlings" to see what you are promoting in reality. The best of luck to you. I hope you become educated and have an epiphany that's leads you towards compassion for all beings and a love of the planet and other people's health.
@@evanlouis8853 we are obviously at different viewpoints about this. We can argue our own sides all day but you aren't going to change your opinion (and I'm not trying to change you) and I'm not going to change mine. I am doing what I know is best for me based on a lot of research from different people and research studies. Like I said I wish you all the best.
Evan, You realize most people eat meat right? 😆 If you can’t take something from her interview, you probably can’t take it from 99% of the success stories on RUclips. Someone doesn’t have to 100% be doing the same diet as you to be inspiring. Congrats on your success Megan!
Almost impossible for a woman to lose that much weight with OMAD in 6 months. She had to have supplemented with other methods or pills. I did strict carnivore and OMAD for 4 months and list 15 lbs. The rest came off of me using hcg.

It is not impossible! I did the same! And not even omad the entire time. I did OMAD and TMAD and keto. Accusing her of lying is just mean and petty or jealous. Not nice at all!
Heard her last name and claimed her as my youtube cousin😂😂 and as a sign for me to get back on track. Thanks Kayla for this interview you are so sweet😊

As a vegetarian, what do you eat?
I really appreciate her listing the non-direct-weight related improvements she's experienced, like less sciatica, etc

such a good interview. such good tips. thanks ladies. Your changing lives for the better.

I'm actually not doing carnivore anymore. I am still doing OMAD though. I have found that I do best when I eat in the middle of the day.
It is OMAD. I have since reintroduced carbs back to my diet.
Thanks - best to you going forward. Keeping it off is the hardest part!

I get 7k-10k steps a day and I do a clean fast once my meal is done. I do also have 2 cups of coffee in the morning with half and half.
I live in NC.
What a very lovely story of Megans success, her journey and strong will and determination, she deserves so much happiness , I wish her well 💐

57
And watch it all crawl back on because starvation teaches NO GOOD EATING HABITS.
