I can see you working as a tourist guide. You're so good at explaning everything. And i did do a bike tour along the coastal road in januari 2014 and the weather was great!
I really like your videos. I visited Sao Miguel before the pandemic but only as a stopover en route to Lisbon from North America. Once a person has visited the Azores, the place stays in your heart a little.
Thank you for your videos! I’ve been on Azores 3 times, and I want more 💚 Such a magical place. Btw I was lucky to see Sete Cidades view in February, and then we came in July and it was all covered by clouds, lol.
@@catchnemo Yeah it is. 60 degrees and cloudy & windy year around, especially in winter. With sunshine hours from 1390 - 1626 out of 4308 possible sunshine hours.
I lived on Terceira as a kid. My dad was in the US Air Force. I always wanted to go back, and my husband lived there, too, as a missionary’s kid. He is a cyclist so maybe this wonderful video will convince him!!
Hey! I’m your 500th subscriber 😊 Found out recently from a dna test I have 40% dna from the azores. wanted to see what it’s like to live there. thanks for your videos! 🤗
Hello Elena!! (And welcome 🤪). I hope a lot that one day you will get to experience the islands! :) fingers crossed for you, and thanks for stopping by!
I love your videos! I'm thinking of visiting the azores for a bit of a photography trip. I was wondering what time of year it is typically most green? judging by these winter videos I'm starting to wonder if winter is the most photogenic time.. especially with all of the fog! thanks!!
Hi Noemi, can you please tell us the place where you are. It looks a bit far from Ponta Delgada. Is it really possible to walk along the sea up to where you are or should one drive to the viewpoint. Thank you.
heading next week to sao miguel, love biking. is it easy to rent bikes in ponta delgada? also this route you did seams really nice, its a 1 day trip right?
There are these public bikes which you could rent (it is necessary to download the app) - they are also electric, and downtown there should be a place where you could rent normal bikes as well! Or maybe try to ask your accommodation, some of them have bikes for tourists :) .. and yees, I would say 1 day is okay, since you can stop on the way (also, maybe try to pick a day when it’s not so windy! :)).. there is a really good app with webcams called spotazores, where you can check the weather on different parts on the island, so before you go, check it just in case (because it could be sunny on the south and rainy on the north haha)
Ah! I think I know where it is. It was on construction last time I past. We stopped at Cais20 and eaten a wonderful veggie paella. Might go there again in a few days. Keep up the good work.
@@catchnemo hehe. We didn’t try the cinnamon ice cream. We’re always full after The paella. We’re in PD right now. It’s easy to walk back and digest, so we’ll try the ice cream. Thanks for your video btw.
@@dncviorel so ..I personally have never heard or seen anyone growing mango/papaya . Also, sometimes I go to the local market and I have never seen anyone selling home-grown mango or papaya .. (but I often hear that you could grown anything here, because of the climate). I have seen avocado and passion fruit and many different exotic fruit trees... but specifically mango and papaya, I don't think it's really common to grow it here.. I would be curious though whether it would grow
@@catchnemo Very interesting. I know that papaya can't grow where temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius, so that should not be a problem since Azores it's always on the + side. And mango does tolerate a very small amount of chill hours, and maybe even around 0 degrees, so a bit less pretentious than papaya, but if the mango it's in flowering season, chances are you might lose most of the crop. With that being said...in theory you should be able to grow both mango and papaya, but most likely in specific microclimates (maybe in Santa Maria), as it might be too windy for them in the Azores, generally speaking. And one more thing I'd like to ask...do you think humidity is a problem for house maintenance? Do you have to be extra-careful to avoid mold indoors? I'm also considering Azores as a future home one day, maybe in Santa Maria, as it is warmer, who knows.
2 plus years to produce ONE pineapple and dedicate all the land and building to do it. I don't understand the math: how can you pay any bills, labour, land, taxes, shipping?? EVen if the land is clear title and in the family for decades, I don't see it!!!

Is March a good time to visit? I was thinking of honeymooning here but i’m not sure if it’s worth the visit that time of the year
I think it is worth a visit every time of the year, the only thing is that the weather can get quite unpredictable in March!
March is a stormy month in the North Atlantic.
The new miradouro is after Sao roque ?
it is in Sao Roque, basically between Ponta Delgada and the beach in Sao Roque,
