This was my first time at the 24! I have been to f1 races, nascar, other imsa races, nhra races ect and so far the atmosphere and excitement of being at this race and the experience of it is the only thing that has been on the same level as the Indy 500. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back

That's one of my favorite parts of the track to spectate. You have a great view of cars leaving the tri oval and entering turn 1 to your left and this view on your right. Love this race 😮
Rexy should be penalized for that move in the pits.

In the Movie, Lemans, it was the first year they moved from Drivers sprinting to the cars to a Standing F1 start which was still dangerous.
With respect, the glory days of Daytona 24 were in the 1970s and 1980s.
As long as they keep burning racing gasoline i will keep watching the races

There is no substitute.
Been watching this on USA/peacock and have noticed the Corvettes have been shunned from any coverage, even while leading. When other cars are leading they get video coverage and talked about, but nothing for the Corvettes. Looks like they've been blackballed.
Hoping of a Cadillac 1, 2. Those things sound awesome.
IMSA coverage of GTD and LMP2 has always been lackluster at best. While there is more glory in the overall win I still wish each class had better coverage or even different feeds and broadcasts for each class would be amazing!

I'm new to this... Why are there two different kinds of cars out there? Are they in the same race or are two different races happening at once?
There is four separate classes racing. They also keep track of overall positions as well.
Why do they do that? How is that fair with different classes racing together? Shouldn't the cars be comparable in spec?
It’s a multiclass racing and includes 4 different classes but 3 different kinds of vehicles gtp, lmp2, and gt3 cars. It’s basically a big race with smaller races simultaneously.

From what seemed like 30 minutes of commercials in the first hour of live race coverage to I've lost count of how many times I've heard "We've had an incident while we were away" or "Take a look at this action while we were away', you can see why TV ratings for SHAMCAR are lower when NBC covers it. What a waste of an iconic race.

I hate that everytime there's a yellow, they take 20-30min to re-set the field. At the end of this race they'll be over 4hrs of yellow! That's RIDICULOUS

Guess you're new here. BOP has been around for a long time. If it makes you feel better, BOP was around when Ford was running GT's a few years ago, and they benefited from it.

@mattjones1378 Don't need to race anything to know there's been that rule for a long time. And what's wrong with Filepe Massa? He's a good driver and had a successful career. At least he wasn't held back like Rubens Barrichello was by Ferrari.
Where is toyota, Ferrari, Alpine, Lambo
Toyota and Ferrari have WEC regulations (LMH) and IMSA (LMDh) don’t accept WEC ones. But the LMDh cars can participate in the WEC series.
Alpine and Lambo have IMSA specs but I believe they want to start at Lemans race
The 33 car has caused at least 4 cautions, for almost 1.5hrs of yellow. Should be disqualified.
This field is so much better without the ugly LMP3 prototypes I LOVE IT!!
This race was fixed. The way the checkered flag came out was a joke! Penske was NasCraps choice and they made sure he won.
