Hi Joey , thank you so much ! I don't have the money right now or do I even know what to do ! You helped me as much ! I wish they had taught vehicle maintenance in school. I'm 67 , and don't really have anyone who could help. Keep up the good work. God bless you !
I'm a woman that knows nothing about cars, and my turn signal was blinking rapidly. I am so glad I came across your video. I learned so much from you tonight ... thank you so much!!!
Very well done. I like that you ensure there is a good camera angle for teaching purposes, even if it causes you more work. Very informative for trouble shooting purposes!
DUDE!!! I do almost all my own mechanic work on mine, my wife's and both my kids cars. I just installed new LED lights and running lights...although I had some quality issues, I finally got all four components installed on my son's 2005 Tahoe, but I couldn't get the left turn signal to work. I checked all the fuses for continuity and all were good. My moron ass did not realize there was a second fuse box on the left side of the dash when you open the door. I was about to bring to a mechanic out of frustration and thought I would watch just one more video. Thanks bro...found the fuse within 20 seconds and now the earth is round again. I would have committed bodily injury if I brought to a mechanic and learned the same! To my surprise...there were even spare fuses and a fuse puller on the fuse door panel. Thanks!
I watched several other videos before I found yours and was only getting more and more confused? Thankfully, I didn't give up before I watched your clear and thurough instructions and am now confident that I will be able to replace my Flasher Unit myself instead of having to pay for expensive labor that I can't afford. Thank you ! From a Grandmother in Georgia who just learned a new trick! LOL
Joey, you are, by far, the most direct, easy-to-understand and certainly very knowledgeable mechanic on RUclips. I have LIKED and SUBSCRIBED and will continue to come to your channel for advice. Thank you soooooooooo much for being a good guy and for understanding that people need simplicity for Do-It-Yourself fixes.
95 ranger here. When I brake, all four hazards come on solid. When I use the turn signal, all for hazards come on solid. Where should I start? plz thanks
Hey Joey! Your video is sooo easy to understand! Thank you so much! Quick question- what if I changed the bulb and it’s still rapidly flashing? I even tried multiple new bulbs just in case. ☹️
Mine don’t click both worked but slowly started to have issues with it not coming on my hazards work but now my single lights don’t work they don’t click or light up what could the issue be
This video helped me so much dude! Literally watched the whole thing and went straight out to my car and fixed it in seconds. Took me out of my misery hahaha
I have a intermittent flashers no work like you say is normally caused by fuse. My first guess is flasher relay issue. Second guess would be fuse that's broken but piece swings around and occasionally make contact. Yeah sound weird but I had an incandescent like do something like that where the filament broke but would occasionally through vibration make contact again and work. .What is your guess Joey? And as far as of the bulb issue I have a 97 chevy truck that would occasionally have light on one side quit. It ended up being the external connector to the light housing had lost it's rubber grommet and made that connection loose. So I just connected it tightly, wrapped with electrical tape and it been good since.
Hey, Joey. I have the rapid blinking indicator going on but it’s not the bulbs. Both right rear bulbs light up when I have the headlight lights on but they do not flash with left turn signal (front does, rapidly), hazards or brakes. 2011 Ford Escape. *UPDATE* I went to Autozone and the gentleman told me that it was the bulb and explained that it has multiple filaments. That must have been why it would come on but not flash. Good video by the way.
Nice video you are spot on. I will say replacing the bulbs on my HHR is not an easy task for the front's for example you have to pull the inner fender well liner and for the rear they at least put in an access panel. I don't blame you the heat is stupid this year. Stay cool man!
Hi, what happen if BOTH Signal Lights are on? I put the Turn to Left or Right.... Doesn't matter, both stayed on ://. It is the Relay still, although I think it is, but wants to make sure? Thank you !!!
I have something similar but different. My blinkers and brake lights work if headlights off but if headlights on left front and rear blinkers do not work, left brake light does not work, and blinker light stays on on dash. Checked wires, checked fuses, swapped 4 way flasher with the blinker flasher, and changed brake bulb. What do you think?
My right parking light/ turn signal both work, but my left stays on both are on parking and turn signal so it is brighter than the right. My blinker in my dash is flashing fast, but my front turn signal doesn't blink. I already replaced the bulb and it does the same thing. Any help?
I have a 2000 Ford Expedition and both my signals don’t work but my hazard flashers do both of them. Can’t figure out the issue. Could use some help! Thanks in advance
My truck right back signal don't work. The front one works but the back one doesn't work in i checked the light bulb and is good I checked the fuse and is good. I don't know what else to check 😢
The left signal lights on my 2005 Honda Civic - front and rear flash rapidly constantly, but only when the headlights are on. When I actually select the left turn signals, the dash cluster lights flash in unison with the turn signals, again - only when the headlights are on.
Ok Joey , what would it be if I have replaced fuses, relays, switches, and bulbs and still have no turn signals or flashers? I have even traced all my wires to make sure none of those are shorting out. I still have no turn signals or flashers.
Joey...I like your videos, but the problem persisits after replacing the flasher. I hear the clicking to sound as if the signal flashing is actually blinking the lights, but it is not. I checked and replaced the 7.5 fuses a couple timew with new ones...same thing happened. I tried taking off the Clam Shell cover that surrounds the steering column, and ran into another problem. I took the bottom half of the clam shell, but the top half will not come off. I was going to see if the white and red wires that fit in a harness came out and did some kind of wire cuts or damage that others were finding was a cause on their Ford Ranger. This is a standard 1998. The clam shell plastic cover that cover the steering column is different from the 2001 Ford Ranger as the Clam Shell cover came off easy. Something seems to be holding it. Like a small phillips head screw or similar. I can't tell...Even with a Cell phone picture. Awkward position of the possible screw like...that seems to be hold it in place?..;.Not sure. Do you have any ideas why the blinkers or lights are not working?
LOL mines wanted to charge me 180 cause my left blinker didn't work and told me he needs to replace the relay (without even checking the car) I don't know crap about cars..but i said no thanks
Thanks. I have a different issue that no one else seems to have. My turn signal lights come on randomly and stays solid until it drains the battery. I disconnected the battery once and it stayed off but now once the battery is reconnected it comes on again. I tried removing all the fuses I think are related and still it does not come off. Please point me in the right direction?
You let out the problem I’m having lol. My right front turn signal doesn’t blink but the right back and left front and back work? It makes the turning sound left or right but no light on the right dash or outside front right?
Great video, but I can't seem to find my problem anywhere around the internet and I'm wondering if you guys can help me out. When I turn on my car, the right turn signal is constantly on. It's not blinking at all, it's just solid on the right side, front and back. The green arrow is solid and when I turn on the blinker it blinks one time and then remains solid. When I step out of the car I can visibly see the blinkers on so I know it's not the bulbs. This problem came about when my tail lights went out, so I checked my fuse box and my tail light fuse was blown so I replaced it. After fixing this problem, my blinker was stuck on. I checked every other fuse and they're all good to go. My car is a 2004 Subaru Outback, do you think maybe this is Subaru's way of saying my relay needs replaced?
@JoeysGarage my problem is the dashboard flash signal blinks fast, front passenger turn signal bulb blinks fast, the rear passenger turn signal bulb stays light and does not blink. What do you think is the issue?
98 Lincoln Navigator. I had fast flash driver side, rear turn indicator not working. Replaced the bulb and still no blinking in rear. Do you think a flasher relay will fix the problem or do you think I have a short. Does the flasher relay supply power individually to each turn indicator? Is that why there are 6 wires? Thanks again, great video.
On a 2003 expedition, replaced 2 flashers and the 4way started to work but the blinkers worked for a while and then stopped. Can't figure out what to check next, fuse is good. Could touching tye wires burn something else
My car turning signal only blinks one time whether I move it left or right, so when I'm turning I have to move my turning signal repeatedly to make it look normal. What do you think the problem is?
I have an issue with my rear bulbs going out or sometimes not operating properly. Does this sound like a socket issue or wiring or something else? I’ve gone through too many bulbs and also had some false alarms.
Thanks for the video its really helpful But i have a little different issue and i am not sure what is the actual cause I have toyota carina sx 1993 Left turn-signal working properly Right turn signal sometime fail to flash Hazard signal not flashing just showing on but not flashing Beside this i have a 10A fuse burnout in engine bay fuse box If i change the fuse and push in the hazard button immediately fuse burn out I am not sure whether this is only flasher relay issue or something else? Pl help me out by your suggestion Some times indicator bulb burn out ( front right) without any reason, i change the bulb two time within a short period Your suggestion will be very helpful to me?
I've changed all of the fuses and bulbs... rear lights work with flashers on and with turn signals... the front flashers/turnsignals do not work... what might be the problem be?
When I push on my break my left turn signal on my dash comes on solid, and when I use my right turn signal my turn signals act as hazards. I know my left brake light is out do you think if I replace the brake light it'll fix my problem?
My cadillac deville today started making a noise coming from under the steering column. Both my turn signal lights stay on when this noise happens. Any suggestions?
(Right front turn signal) not working, with rear right turn signal blinking fast. Troubleshoot with bulbs no change. Replaced turn signal Relay flasher. Right turn signal still not flashing, but rear right signal flashing properly. Changed turn signal switch first right after checking bulbs and sockets, with no change to problem. Should I try the new turn signal switch( took if off and replaced old one) with the new flasher relay? Thanks for info
The issue my neighbor is having is his 2018 chevy traverse has the right real turn signal flashing with no key in the switch and the turn signal switch is off. There is a clicking sound in the fuse box under the hood. I can't figure out which relay is clicking. None of them seem to control the turn signals and I'm stumped and I'm terrible at wiring problems.
My problem is ...when I turn the headlights on, all lights work, but when I press my brake pedal, the left side, doesn't light up. Also all flashers work, except for the left side. Checked fuse, it's fine, and it doesn't take a flasher relay for this model, a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. The bulbs are all working also. What else should I check? Thanks
All turn signals working. However when I use them I get a message saying right rear indicator failure.. does the same thing when using left side.. but turn signals both work? It does blink faster on the dash? I am confused on what to check? 2017 silverado 1500 with 94,000 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated.
I have an odd problem,my flashers work, my left turn works but my right doesn't work at all,I've check the bulbs, fuse and replaced both the flasher units, thinking its gotta be a loose or broken wire, was hoping to find another answer
So mine are flashing rapidly and the back bulbs are fine and the front bulbs are fine. I’m getting power to my fuse box but not from my fuse box to lights. Is that a wiring issue? Or socket issue? Because bulbs are brand new and the right type of bulb.
Hey Joey, this is a great video. I had the first problem where the blinker light didn't pop up on the dashboard when I turned it on. Therefore, I replaced the fuse and it didn't fix the problem. What should I do? Thanks for your help.
not necessarily Joey I got one for you turn signal works fine as long as the headlights are off now turn headlights on only one works no relay all bulbs are new all grounds are clean fuse is good any suggestions on where to go from here oh now that same side park lamp is now out its 05 dakota
I have a Chevy Colorado and I have flasher issues. The left side flashes more rapid then usual. Though the front still flashes, the rear doesn't. I changed out the bulbs twice and even checked the fuse but still won't flash. Any other suggestions?
my hazards work but neither my left or right hand turn signals work? Ive already replaced the flasher relay, still no luck. I did notice my cigarrette fuse keeps blowing could this have anything to do with the problem?
The 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis doesn't have a turn signal flasher relay. There is no metal to install it under the fuse box. 99 and 01+ are located in the round part of the fuse box under the steering wheel. I'm having a solid turn signal and hazard light issue. Any advice?
hey joey loved the video but my problem is alil different i was hoping u had some advice my flashers work only in the back front doesnt come on and my right turn signal blinks very fast but front doesnt come on and the left one doesnt come on at all not even dash indicator and my dash doesnt light up when i turn on the headlights. i was wondering what might be the problem n where to start first any advice is appropriated! car is an 2005 acura rsx
What if you turn signal is blinking rapidly and it’s not your bulbs, or your brake pedal switch? What else can it be? Running lights come on but not the break lights or turning signal
I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition, and it is having a problem with the right turn signal, but only when the parking/head lights are turned on. If the parking/headlights are not turned on, the right turn signal functions normally as it should. But when the parking/headlights are turned on, the right turn signal comes on, but will not flash like it should. I can make it flash manually by working the turn signal lever up, and down as though I am turning the right turn signal on, but then if I do it that way, the 3rd brake light up above the rear hatch will also flash.
Joey please help me out , times like this its hard to find any one willing to get fusterated any more. My car will die out completely when left blinker is applied. I dont know what else can be done.
I have a 99 Ford Ranger. just the last few drives my turn signal has been "screaming"??? Sounds almost like an electrical short or grounding. Maybe coming from the steering column but, makes turn signals flash weird. Any ideas??? Stumped!!!
We hit someone the other day (slid into them) and busted the left front corner up and now none of the signal lights are working (dash or bulbs) but the fuse is great. If the signal bulb is missing would it cause that? What are other fixes? It needs a whole new headlight and fender but that's all the damage to the car.
I have my 2017 chevy express 2500 van The right back turn signal is running fast on dashboard Changed the bulb didn't fix it. I don't have power in the supply wire of the signal. Any idea for the fix? Thks
It would be great to get into a more complex blinker issue, such as the blinker working fine on the left side REAR, but nothing at the front, and the blinking is in RAPID mode, meaning the system has detected that one of the blinkers on the left is not working.
My f150 is doing two strange things.. 1. When I put the blinker on the left, the right comes on. 2. The blinker sticks when using it on the right side. Please help. Thanks
QUESTION!?!? 2003 chevy silverado when my lights are off turn signal work perfectly fine but at night when i have my lights on they dont work correctly left side stay on all the time when lights are on , when i activate the left turn signal it blink once and stays solid and when i active my right side turn signal they both blink
I have a 96 Buick Regal 3.8l my signal might flash just once on either side and then I get nothing... I really need help fixing this... I’ve checked the fuses, and relay ... any suggestions
Hello I have a 2003 Ford Ranger XLT and the passenger front turn signal does not flash. Inside is a rapid clicking and no light on the dash flashing. I have replaced the bulbs and replaced the multi function switch as well as the relay and I still have the issue. Also the light works when on as a parking light. And the light does not flash when using the hazards. Any ideas??? Please help.
If bulb from rear passenger side burned down and indication is flashing very fast, I would change it and also which one I should change extra passenger side front bulb or driver side rear bulb?
So, I had rapid flashing and when I looked at the lights sure enough the right front bulb was burned out. I replaced it with new bulb and I still have rapid flashing like and bulb does not light up for park light or signal. Rear one flashes rapidly and does light up for park. Any suggestion Joey?
i have a nissan march 2012 and iam having many electrical problems , right now fog light works and headlight works, front wiper but the electrical lock system not working and turn signal not working , and back wiper not working , any idea what do i have to change ? btw turn isgnal is flashing rapidly but no signal is on from the bulb
Hi.joe I have a 2011 lincoln town car. My right signals are blinking to fast i did changed the light bulb it still doing the same. Let me mind you when I got to the shop an asked for the bulb the dealer told me the front bulb is different to the back one, which I bought an still not working. What shall I do?
I have turn signal problems with my Buick the left one works but the right one I have manually move the switch up rappid then it works. I also have a problem with the windshield wipers if I turn the windshield spry knob the wipes swipe over the windshield 5 or 6 times like there supposed to but when I try to click the windshield wipers on the normal way so the stay on they don't work if you could help me with this problem it would help me out a lot. Thanks for the videos they really help so thanks
Hi, Joey ,I have problem with my turn signal, when I turn at any direction it doesn't work the lights. I have checked fuse ,lights ,flashing ,Fuses ,everything look ok.
I have a problem with my turn signal switch. When I want to turn right, I put the switch in the right position. But once I steer right, it snaps back in neutral. I don't have any issues when turning left. The turn signal switch always snapped back in neutral when my steering wheel reaches neutral after turning. I have a Toyota Corolla '97.
My guess is broken filament that occasionally make connection. Look closely at both bulbs and if you find a broken filament replace that bulb and you should be good to go.
@@mickjager5974 I have the same problem. I changed the light bulbs and check the fuses and it still doing it. Any ideas. I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus 2.7
My turn signal was blinking rapidly and I went an changed both the front an back blinker....but now the same front blinker only blinks when the headlights are off an it’s very dem and not bright at all an the clicker is still blinking very fast even though I changed the front blinker ....could it be just a bad light bulb or ground wire messed up??
Ok I need some help...my right turn signal on the dash doesn't light up but I can hear the noise that it's blinking fast. I changed the signal bulb and put a new fuse and it still doesn't work. However, when I put the hazard lights on it works fine (light on dash and the signal blinking outside the car). What do you think it could be?
hey Joey, on my 2012 escape, the left dash indicator blinks rapidly, so does my rear left signal , however my front left signal bulb is not burnt out as it is still on. It just does not blink. When hazards are on the front left corner doesnt blink either. What does this mean? Thank you
Hi Joey , thank you so much ! I don't have the money right now or do I even know what to do ! You helped me as much ! I wish they had taught vehicle maintenance in school. I'm 67 , and don't really have anyone who could help. Keep up the good work. God bless you !

Thanks bro i learn your video naice
Awesome. Share it online and help someone else
Yep, fast blinker sound, no visible light, took apart back assembly and replaced 2 bulbs, 8 dollars and 10!min.
Mine works intermittently. Replaced headlight and bulb assembly twice, still intermittent. Only one month to next inspection. YIKES!
I followed your steps to check the fuse...it was blown. Just replaced it with another 15A to check they work...and yes they do. Thank you!
Very well done. I like that you ensure there is a good camera angle for teaching purposes, even if it causes you more work. Very informative for trouble shooting purposes!

Finally, someone who has prepared for the filming! Thanks.
THANK YOU JOEY!
This has plagued me to no end (solid light)
A mechanic told me over $300 and removing the side airbags.
No I just gotta do it!
95 ranger here. When I brake, all four hazards come on solid. When I use the turn signal, all for hazards come on solid. Where should I start? plz thanks
Thanks, Joey, for actually demonstrating how to Not break those little tabs on the flasher! I was headed that way THANKFULLY i watched your video. 😀🤓

Joey I instantly added your channel to my favorites. GRACIAS!!!
You uploaded this video on my birthday back in 2016..

Did you figure out what the cause is? I have the same issue but it's the front driver... No flash but good bulb wires look good as well... At a loss
Hello, could it still be a flasher relay issue if my right signal works/blinks just fine, but the left side is solid?
Did you find out anything? We have the same problem with our 2007 Volvo XC90, driver side is stuck on solid, even with the car turned off.
The left signal lights on my 2005 Honda Civic - front and rear flash rapidly constantly, but only when the headlights are on. When I actually select the left turn signals, the dash cluster lights flash in unison with the turn signals, again - only when the headlights are on.

Great video, but WHAT IF the 4 ways flash, but the signal don't? Thanks in advance.
You let out the problem I’m having lol. My right front turn signal doesn’t blink but the right back and left front and back work? It makes the turning sound left or right but no light on the right dash or outside front right?
Wait. My right blinkers work right but the left blinkers do nothing. What is that? Is it dead bulb in front and back (2)?
Great video, but I can't seem to find my problem anywhere around the internet and I'm wondering if you guys can help me out. When I turn on my car, the right turn signal is constantly on. Joey,
I have a 2012 Yukon Denali. The right turn signal works; the left turn blinks fast, but the light bulb is ok. What do you suggest?
maybe you could help with this; both turn signals turn on when I indicate to the left., but not the right.
98 Lincoln Navigator. I had fast flash driver side, rear turn indicator not working. Replaced the bulb and still no blinking in rear. But i have a little different issue and i am not sure what is the actual cause
I have toyota carina sx 1993
Left turn-signal working properly
Right turn signal sometime fail to flash
Hazard signal not flashing just showing on but not flashing
Beside this i have a 10A fuse burnout in engine bay fuse box
If i change the fuse and push in the hazard button immediately fuse burn out
I am not sure whether this is only flasher relay issue or something else?
Pl help me out by your suggestion
Some times indicator bulb burn out ( front right) without any reason, i change the bulb two time within a short period
Your suggestion will be very helpful to me?
I've changed all of the fuses and bulbs... rear lights work with flashers on and with turn signals... the front flashers/turnsignals do not work... what might be the problem be?
When I push on my break my left turn signal on my dash comes on solid, and when I use my right turn signal my turn signals act as hazards. I know my left brake light is out do you think if I replace the brake light it'll fix my problem?
Thanks Joey…your video really help me a lot. Its now November 2021…🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My cadillac deville today started making a noise coming from under the steering column. Both my turn signal lights stay on when this noise happens. Any suggestions?
My left turn signal won’t go off and the right one won’t work at all unless I turn on the flashers. Do you know what this is?
And by the way I have a '97 Chevy Tahoe
what was wrong with your vehicle? I have same problem
Im having same problem
not necessarily Joey I got one for you turn signal works fine as long as the headlights are off now turn headlights on only one works no relay all bulbs are new all grounds are clean fuse is good any suggestions on where to go from here oh now that same side park lamp is now out its 05 dakota
Hey Joey. What if the turn signals work but do not make any noise? Can you help?
I have a Chevy Colorado and I have flasher issues. The left side flashes more rapid then usual. Though the front still flashes, the rear doesn't. I changed out the bulbs twice and even checked the fuse but still won't flash. Any other suggestions?
I had to subscribe. You are doing a good job. Keep it up and don't quit
So, I have a rapid flashing loght, but both bulbs are working. I don't know what to think. What can I check to see what the problem is?
my hazards work but neither my left or right hand turn signals work?
If it's the front signal, change both front signals? Or are you saying to replace the front & back bulbs for the same side of the vehicle?
What if you turn signal is blinking rapidly and it’s not your bulbs, or your brake pedal switch? What else can it be? Running lights come on but not the break lights or turning signal
What about a fuse or grounding issue. My issue turned out to be a grounding fault with the internal switch.
Thank you, Joey. Your information is straight and clear. It' s great. Thank you very much.
Question: what if your taillight bulb keeps bursting with bursting each time you replace it?
Hello Joey! My turn signals are coming on automatically while driving. Please help! Thanks for your support in advance.
My turn singles don't work but my 4-way flashers do. Have emergency flashers but NO turn singles. So how do I fix this?
Dustin Bain could be your turn signal switch lever itself or the wiring, kind of technical to check tho
@@illegalkid93 OK well i do have a meter to test the wires but the switch is in the steering column correct, could i find out the problem that ?
I have a 2009 F-150 that one side flashes fast though all bulbs work. I have taken lights out and checked for loose connections. Can you help me???
I have my 2017 chevy express 2500 van
The right back turn signal is running fast on dashboard
Changed the bulb didn't fix it.
My light don't blink when the headlights on it's only one Flash's real quick when the headlights are off
My f150 is doing two strange things.. 1. When I put the blinker on the left, the right comes on. 2. The blinker sticks when using it on the right side. Please help. Thanks

My front right signal went out on my 17 GMC Sierra 1500. It was blinking fast so I replaced the bulb. Same thing. Any suggestions???
So, I had rapid flashing and when I looked at the lights sure enough the right front bulb was burned out. I replaced it with new bulb and I still have rapid flashing like and bulb does not light up for park light or signal. Rear one flashes rapidly and does light up for park. Any suggestion Joey?

2000 Silverado left hazard and left turn signal doesn’t work. Right side works normal. What’s my problem?
Soooo, all my blinkers work but the dash blinks fast like the bulb is out. Any ideas?
Hi, Joey ,I have problem with my turn signal, when I turn at any direction it doesn't work the lights. I have checked fuse ,lights ,flashing ,Fuses ,everything look ok.
Joey. I have a fast indicator on one side , but the bulbs on that side are still flashing. Sometimes it works normally. Could it be an earth ?
Awesome vid brother, helped me out a lot though I have a 97' Honda Accord
My turn indicators turn on and work well but once I turn on my headlights, the indicator on the right side stays on so what could it be?
I have a problem with my turn signal switch. When I want to turn right, I put the switch in the right position. But once I steer right, it snaps back in neutral. I don't have any issues when turning left.
The turn signal switch always snapped back in neutral when my steering wheel reaches neutral after turning. I have a Toyota Corolla '97.
My blinkers stay on while engaged. Bulbs are good fuses are good AND i just replaced my flasher. Blinker still stays solid. What do i do?????
My left turn signal works about 1/4 of the time, (correctly). The other 3/4 of the time it is flashing rapidly. Any idea what this could be?
My guess is broken filament that occasionally make connection. Look closely at both bulbs and if you find a broken filament replace that bulb and you should be good to go.
my 2005 f250 has no turn signals but hazards work. can't find the stupid owners manual. How would I figure out whst fuse to look for?

Did you solve the problem??
Thank you
