These guys have to be in the conversation for one of the most talented trios of all time: insane drum chops, bass player from another planet, singer who can rip it up live.
@@BoogieBMWE34 I mean, that happens sometimes. I do believe for every famous musician you've heard of there are ten more that are just as good or better that you've never heard of. It's like when Transatlantic hires Daniel Gildenlowe when they go on tour. He's easily a better vocalist than Neal Morse and a better guitarist than Roine Stolt, and he's just slotted in as some backup fifth guy. In the case of Dirty Loops, however, your assessment of the backup guy is quite stupid, as Jonah absolutely tears it up vocally. This isn't the case of Madonna vs. her backing vocalists, or some other pop star that has to bury themselves in talent because their well has run dry. This is a band in their prime that needs another guy behind the keyboard so Jonah can jump around out front and be a badass. Easily one of the best vocalists of this generation. Edwin Mclean, Yes, Dirty Loops are one of the best bands of today. They have their own sound So much for that crappy rap. Yes I know, one of their originals has a slight rap sound, but so what!
YOu're right, the first part of Jonah's solo is slow, but the drums and bass haven't changed their speed. Also, Jonah the beginning of the solo they are playing more quietly.
You’re a talented singer and keyboardist! No doubt 😊…but appreciate the incredible bassist and drummer who is elevating this band to the next level!!🙏🤩❤️❤️👍
Our country is the home of manufactured bands and singers. So we definitely were hit hard when Dirty Loops came and showed us what actual musicianship looks and sounds like. I hope more Koreans will be able to see and recognize what true talent and artistry is instead of the weird idol worship going on right now.
Pay attention, all you wannabe singers out there: Jonah does all those stratospheric vocals WITHOUT Autotune. Additionally, and unlike the pop singers today, he actually knows and understands music theory (and his keyboard chops ain't too shabby, either). Incredibly talented band. Love the MacGyver theme song at the end.
Are they all definitely talented? Yes. Is Jonah a wonderful singer? Yes. BUT can he do the same quality live as on all the recordings? Definitely not. (And the recordings GOTTA be autotune.)
Impressive to attempt that singing without autotune yes, but it clearly doesn’t sound as good live. Respect for trying though but it takes me out of it.
Henrik's swells starting at 27:30 are gorgeous. He's got some chorus in there with heaven only knows what... any guesses? Amazing effects layering on top of an already phenomenal player.
These beautifully talented young men are going very far!!! And if he wants his wiggles to show and make the girls to scream louder he needs to tighten the butt of those jeans!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! CONGRATULATIONS GUYS YOU'RE UNIQUE AND AWESOME AND YOU ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!!!
Krauss77: Actually, I believe Jonah has been studying Lyle Mays' piano innovations and techniques, in PMG, who is definitely not a bad influence. And they are borrowing rhythmic patterns, as well.
Jonah definitely has mastered MJ's vocal styling. I bet he's been practicing MJs singing for many years. If I closed my eyes, I could mistake Jonah for Michael Jackson, especially at the beginning of Crash & Burn at 43:00
These guys are bad. I went to Maroon 5 concert in 2015, Korea and this band played before Maroon5. After listening this band Maroon5 songs were sounded like a high school band. This band steals fans from Maroon5. This band is bad and I am one of the stolen fans.

With singers, like Stevie Wonder, one always feels confident that they will hit the note spot on every time, but I don't get that with Jonah Nilsson. Obviously, he pisses on most live vocalist one can think of, but he has set a very high standard with the album and those mad vocal runs don't work unless the pitch is perfect.
my thoughts exactly!! Everybody keeps praising Jonah, but he definitely can't do the same stuff live. To see them playing and singing live like this, is just completely insane….

did you notice 4th guy, hidden not specified at keyboard ? He plays and sings totally better than front guy.....

a renovation of the music. I`m from chile. I like this group. Its worderful to know the musica still it`s not losed. :)
My favorite new band. These guys are insanely talented and beyond great. The bass and drums are from another planet. What a rhythm section!

Henrik's octave effects are so good at 11:30 I can't tell if that's a pedal or him. And who cares. He's just in a class unlike any other.

No acho que gostem no brasil, e pop/jazz ,temque por no seu repertorio algumas bossa ou samba.
I love his beautiful Krystal Clear voice! Dirty Loops are so different than the other bands that I've heard recently.

Simple answer. They don't need one, also traditional jazz trios don't include guitarists, most of the time. ;)
They’re too good. They don’t need a guitar player. They have Henrik he plays enough strings lol
