Try using the Palomar knot onto the quick change bead but going through the eye of the bead connector twice. Been tying mine this way for a while and it's never failed .

Have you ever thought of a three turn water knot for your shock leader I use this on my fly leaders

First one for shock leader is good, but i tie quick bead or hook with uni knot (much tighter than other knots).

Use a surgan knot to connect two lines together, way faster and more secure.
