Excellent video Andrew, visuals and audio absolutely first class. Your explanation of what you were doing was clear and simple i just wished others would watch videos like yours and take tips. I am now a subscriber.
Hi Andy, been trying to make a safe elasticated feeder using pole elastic as I don't have the gum you suggest. Do you think pole elastic is a good replacement ? Having trouble joining the main line to the elastic with a small enough knot to pass through the feeder any ideas greatly appreciated.
Hi, Pole elastic has more stretch BUT in thin diameters they are not strong enough to be used for method feeders. Still pole elastic can be used here. I would say it's best to play with elastic size/diameter. Probably about 8-10 solids or hollows will be strong enough/the best bet to have the knot small enough. Cheers
I lost count of the number of useful tips I picked up watching that excellent tutorial. Thanks, much appreciated
Great to hear!

Thanks for a good word 👍
Brilliant Andrew, good to see you think safe fishing. 5 star.
Thank you 👍
Just a thought, would a square knot be better than a loop to loop connection?
Brilliant tutorial and a fresh idea, thanks.
👍
Not too sure what 'squatr knot' is..
Brilliant!!!....i didn't know about feeder gum 👌
Glad it was helpful! 👌
People always check safety of leads in air but don't allow for the water effect that makes the lead much lighter.....and harder to shake off.....
Thanks for sharing.
Andrew is it possible to take the elastic out of the stem, and use just the stem without elastic?
Sure you can.

The thicker the better. Just make sure that the feeder can slide on the feedergum freely. 👍
Cheers
Superb Andrew.Danke.Thank you
Thanks, Ralph!

Andrew's Knots thankyou for the advise.
What size a swivel for the tip please ?
10 or 11.
Super montura, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you ✌✌
You have 6 knots that could fail opposed to 4 on a Preston elasticated feeder
Cool. Thanks for the math lesson.
Doesn't give the Same fish playing benefit as the x safe as the elastic works better when it's stretched out below the feeder.
X-safe is ok, even though not exactly safe. Free moving feeder is great too
It’s not safe if it breaks of above it won’t shake it free in fact it’s anything but safe thzats the x safe I’m talking about
wow
Thanks.
