That Great Stars with Prelate's Charge sure is a good combo 😉
Oh snap! Awesome to see you here!
And yeah it's badass, hopefully you'll give it a go!
Also im sure all you ready know but one thing i love about that combo is that the fire left on the ground also heals you. That combo is also incredibly useful on the mimic ashes.
@@RageGamingVideos Don't forget to but bloodflame on it and just hold the charge. You get many bleed procs.
The first 3 minutes I had a weeeiiirrrrdddd feeling I saw a cowboy talk about that Ash of War and show off the healing properties the EXACT same spot... Must be my mind playing tricks

Glad someone is finally talking about Raptor in a video. I have it on the Rotten Greataxe, with Poison and Rot buildup. Being a colossal weapon, spamming this on bigger enemies to spam jump attacks is hilarious.
Try bleed and rot
The raptor mist Ash of War is a really interesting one and one of the moves specifically brought over from Sekiro.
In Sekiro, the feather mist was one of my favorite go to shinobi tools to just carry around for fighting bosses in general because it allowed for that unique teleport counter, and it was very good for, “oh sh** moment” when you feel to late to counter say a stab or sweep with their respective counters. It was a good one to bring over to Elden Ring.
Hey hollow, the reason for the parry feeling different, is because you're using two different sizes of shields. The one you used golden parry on is a small shield. It has more parry frames, than the medium one you used later. It's been the same in DS3
Parry is parry. Buckler Parry (more frames) is exclusive to a buckler. This one has larger hitbox so it catches earlier active frames of attacks.
Parry the arm not the weapon
@@Zolwiol I dont think is that either, it seems to me that the ash of war has less startup frames on the parry, so it takes less time from the time you press the button to the active parry frames so it feels easier and smoother. Could be wrong tho
This is exactly why they shouldn't be making these videos! They know barely anything!

then the fire nation attacks
Then everything changed when the Meta slave nation attacked.
But everything changed when the LOATHESOME DUNG EATER attacked!
with raptor of the mist, it works very good with dual curved swords because they hit 4 times with jump attacks.
Saw someone combine a bleed build with dual curved swords, bloodflame, and raptor of the mists. Seems like an awesome build but I’m having trouble letting go of rivers of blood
@@revelation9125 I got bored with Rivers honestly. I like trying new things so that weapon only lasted like one day for me.
@@revelation9125 not something you should tell others about...

Golden land with an actual faith build is so strong, the vurst as the lowest portion of damage can do 1.2k damage with a +4 somber weapon.
For the scarab type that is for the golden parry, it doesn’t despawn, it teleports, I’ve encountered 3-4 and it’s very time I looked around and eventually found it again
The Ash of War you can get from the cosmic anal bead (the name & remembrance escape me at the moment) is really good, too.
Astel????
Waves of darkness
I knew exactly who you were talking about Lmfaoooo
Raptor of the Mists feels like it would fit in perfectly with my attempt at making a Vaxeldan themed run
Fire Scorpion, plus Shard of Alexander charm(great increase to skill damage) and Rotten Winged Sword(succssive hits increase damage) all make this combo even deadlier.
Just discovered Golden Lands some days ago and it hast to be one of the, if not the best ash of war. Just spaming the first portion (slam and bolts) melts through all bosses without problem. The bolts struggle a bit with smaller enemies (usually hitting only 3 or 4 out of 6), but you can stun lock them with the slam and explotion. The most insane part is that the bolts have crazy range, so you can snipe enemies from a distance (with 80 faith and a +24 weapon with holy affinity the bolts alone deal like 2.5 k alone). All in just one ass of war that's very fp efficient
Really enjoyed how flashy Mist Raven Feather was in Sekiro. cool to see it return
I absolutely love your guys videos!! I really appreciate that you guys show late game content without spoiling anything!! Keep up the great content 🔥💯🤗
For anyone who doesn't know, raptor of the mists can actually dodge through the chariots in the hero's graves
I use it especially for those scenarios and the giant balls that like to crush you
Or even the bloodhound step
I figured this out in my first playthrough and I've been using it ever since hahs
can't wait for the madness video ! i've been using madness since i like the animations and the damage, but i can't get around a good build with it, i do know that we have to do a quest line that unlocks a madness seal and more incantations i think. "not sure about more incantations, have very limited knowledge of it"
I like how everyday there’s still new things being found.
game just came out so thats logical.
The Hoarah Loux Earthshaker is my new favorite, I love it so much.
its so good because i can still have a good strength scaling with it, once i invaded two guys in a small room and they tried to spam magic and attack through a wall... the moment i set a foot in this room and staggered them with my roar they were basically bloodstaines.
And its really good for many enemys at a time amd some bosses i just love it
Ever since I equipped it, I haven't changed it. It's absolutely amazing and a perfect aoe attack. I use claws and was extremely happy to know I could use this ash of war.
@@mavcotm8006 what does it scale with ? because I put it on my strongest greatsword and the damage output was so dogshit I never put it back on to try it again
@@Kn1ghtborne strength, but i have to say that bleed builds are stronger with a fast weapon and build..... but for the strength build enjoyer it's perfect
That last one is like one of the Shinobi tools prosthetics u can get in sekiro nice to see my fave one make a return in eldenring 😁
Thanks for showing me where the samurai man went as after he helped me kill the river bloody finger I went straight into the cave that was clouded over and died by the boss then couldn’t find him,
And thanks to you and Cotton for the other videos as well.
I used raptor of the mists early on when i got it to cheese those chariot statue dungeons. Super broken for that.
I use Earthshaker with heavy spiked Caestus because the roar hits poise multiple times and interrupt even the fell twin's attacks if they're close enough to be affected (Which is why fist weapons). Very good for if you're surrounded by humanoid sized enemies or large enemies with attacks that can be interrupted. Its range is short so enemies can get a weapon in if the yell doesn't reach their actual bodies. Also being a ground ash of war it can be jumped over. But it will almost certainly knock down all non colossal enemies with the second slam. it knocks down the fell twins easy. easily a favorite ash of war, And with your own poise high it can be difficult to be knocked out of.
Ive also seen people combine the Bloodflame Weapon buff to a Prelate's Charge Great Stars, apparently the fire left will also apply the bloodflame's effect and anything that can bleed wont have blood left after the charge is done
I have been playing elden ring without a shield forcing myself not to go for the parry spam but the golden parry almost convinced me to give up on my role play. After ds3 and bb i understood how easy to break are from softwere games with a single l2 button that's why i am limiting myself.
Just a side note, You can get to the deep root depths through a secret passage in the frenzy flame section in the capitol before passing through the frenzy flame door. This allows access to the depths without the need to fight the gargoyles or Radahn.
I may be wrong but ive been testing bloodflame buffed prelates charge and i believe it may actually be an ash of war that can combine the good old blood flame + fires deadly sin combo while mid charge after patch
I'm not exactly sure about this or not since this is data from Dark Souls 3 but parrying with small shields are more effective than medium shields because they have more parry frames. So the Golden Parry should only extends the range
New game, so who knows, it'll be tested with time
The sword you get from the Elden beast rememberance has insane air/range like litteraly the whole screen and reaches so far
No not air but insane range but it sucks the damage is trash my faith is 71 and barely does enough damage I have to sometimes 2 shot npc's and it's a horrible weapon for bosses. It's only good for one thing farming in that one area where you get alot of runes. Besides that it's completely useless I'm shocked being the last boss weapon it being so terrible.
@@samza9622 ehhh, I use it with faith dex and it does absolutely insane damage and one shots almost everything
@@titaniumwolf1123 same. It does crazy damage and I'm Faith/Strength. It also staggers some bosses and knocks over some heavy ads. In my opinion it's a great weapon if you've specced right.
I was going for a Ravenmount Assassin build like that bloody finger but with bloodflame on the talons with raven of the mists. Repeat plunge counter attacks while building bleed.
I have a pair of Star Fists with Hoarah Loux stomp on them, as a alternate. Actually pretty good for farming Albinaurics since it staggers the red ones out of the spiked roll they like to do.
Anyone else thinking that the "Raptor of the mists" is just nerfed version of "Mist raven feather" from sekiro
Well its in the game and it was one of if not my favourite prosthetic tool in sekiro so im happy
Very appreciative of the spoiler avoidence. To many people just straight up say end boss names or reveal big plot points without hesitation. I know the game has been out for about a month but it's still nice to do for these longer games
waves of darkness is pretty good too, very fun to use
From what I've tried the raven one works on instakill things like chariots and whatever else, I'm guessing the ending of the I frames isn't decided yet? But you can basically run straight to the crucible warriors room without waiting and fighting the skeletons.
Sweet
golden land is kinda cool on the butchering knife because each bolt heals you a little
I have been using the claw talisman + Beastman curved sword but im now thinking on swaping the sword for a Great Stars with the recommended ashes for that insane heal + bleed combo (because if i understand its skill can build bleed too).
It's heal AND bleed?? Dang
@@nevermore6963 it seems that the bleeding only stack from the first and last hit, unless you buff the weapon with some spell or grease if i hear it right, but the knock up is a neat set-up that work on even against some bosses.
Does the Great Stars + Prelates Charge combo proc lifesteal during the charge or just on the initial hit and the uppercut? Also does it proc multiple times on the same enemy (say a boss?)
The only issue with raptor of the mists is you have to generally use it at the end of a combo string or your just gonna get hit midair. Other than that I found it fun on a pounce setup i tried for a bit with claws and all the jump damage items for a little bit
Yeah, that has been my experience and is definitely an issue for fast attacking, high combo enemies. Raptor is insane against certain bosses with big slow swings and fewer combos. I was able to beat 2 or 3 of the most difficult bosses in the game with a dual whip, raptor of the mists as a dex-focused warrior build.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that generally refers to any controller as a Playstation controller layout. I played playstation for 20 years, me saying, 'L2' is a lot easier for me than remembering that on an Xbox controller it's, 'LT'. I got on PC and Xbox controller works on 98% of anything I need it to, where as I'm lucky to get anything to work on PC with a Playstation controller. Nice video man, thanks.
One thing to note, the bolts from Golden Land has VERY long range.
So long as you can Target the enemy the bolts will hit at that distance.
Is it good in pvp?
Give your weapon any status ailment and Prelate's Charge becomes even more crazy.
Cool clip. I did the main story. Still have NO idea about all these different ways to change and alter your experience in Elden Ring. Any of these ash of war could lead to something very interesting.
If you run the talisman that recovers health with successive hits, does it work with the prelates charge? Could be insane
If it does trigger it, the damage with successive hits could be awesome too
@ragegamingvideos will the raptor feather chest piece or claw talisman affect the damage of the raptor of the mist counter attack?
for the golden parry bug. If you're having problems you can just quit out and reload and it will appear
Holy butt slam is one of my favorites. Super armor, jumps forward, and will either stagger or pancake medium to small enemies
PS can confirm this ash literally pounds annoying black assassins into the grave
Yeah, i was using this one for a while. Really good versus boss. You can do good dmg and do a lot of stagger (1 or 2 can can break a lot of bosses stance)
@@StephaneLevs yeah but feels like meme ass hiting Bosses in a medieval game lol
Omg thank you I was wondering what that must does. Seemed useless af, as the guy who dropped it didn't got it to work.
I tried great stars after using nightrider’s flail; it’s just waaaaay too slow, particularly on guard counters. Some enemies bounce back and hit again before my hit even connects.
Nightrider’s flail is a sewing needle by comparison.
Are you saying night rider's flail could be better than great stars even with the health siphoning?
Because while I'd still probably use great stars I've been looking for a good reason to smith and use nightrider's flail it just looks bad ass.
The flail is a flail therefore it is inferior by default.
Raptor of the mist let's you phase right through the chariots in different hero tombs. A must have for that alone! 🔥👍🏼🔥
The talisman for increased damage when u have max HP is a good synergy with prelate charge and that weapon u got it on
I've been in love with Great Stars since I hit Leyndell but I've been over here noobing it up using Hoarfrost Stomp - I'm going to have to check out the Prelate's Charge. I think I might have picked it up already without even knowing what it was!
Dude the fire mace with great horn is unstoppable in crowds
Raptor of the mists is hilarious to use on the chariots, took me a few deaths to get the timing down though
Golden land looks perfect for one of my OCs can it be equipped to knife, claw, or fist weapons?
You can also get the by going through the illusionary walls by where you obtain the frenzied flame
Raptor of the miss does use fp when you counter the attack, get it right next time
I used Hoarah Loux's to farm the two Cleanrot Knights outside the Haligtree Prayer Room to get two each of all their weapons. If it's blockable, they don't know how to do it.
There is another way to get to the area with the Golden Land ash. It involves going through the sewers of Leyndell tho, so honestly the way you described is a lot easier and less annoying.
omg the fire one I can't believe I was sleeping on that one. I just watched a dude mow the law with Malenia and just couldn't stop laughing XD
You can also get to Deeproot depths via a secret wall deep deep under the capital city
I got most of those cool ash of war but what does these scale to to increase damage? Like hoarfrost scales with magic and cold
That mace has bleed so I wonder 🤔 if by doing the charge will cause bleed faster
Haven't tested it myself but I have heard that Raptor of the Mists allows you to the instakill chariots in Hero's Graves
Any further confirmation on that?
@@oroshima2026 Yep I've confirmed it, I never go into a Hero's Grave without that ash of war now
@@kairoshs Nice I might try it out next time, lot better than bloodhound stepping down a hall trying to outrun them lmao
Nice :) i got most of those yeaterday when i was doing Renna's and Fia's quests
Oh my God that dark counter on a caestus for a full fist build would be insaaaaaane
Greatclub comes with golden land 😄 it’s good because the little shots are really long range
I missed #5 too. I did everything except the invasion on the Academy bridge.
Prelate's charge with great stars gote blasphemous blade vibe
Ashes of War are easily my favorite addition in this game. I do feel some of them are a bit strong for how little FP they cost though.
I better enjoy it while its lasts. Knowing From Software they are going to Overnerf some of them really hard.^^
In my experience most of the OP ones are OP in the early game and fall off as enemies get harder so I'm not sure how many of them really need nerfs. I'd prefer they focus on fixing bugs more then nerfing stuff...
@@BrandonHeat243 Hoarfrost Stomp stays pretty damn strong throughout the game.
Golden Land aswell. It deals more damage than most incantations for a fraction of their FP cost.
Bloodhound step feels op for the whole game tbh
@@riemaennchen That's more because most incantations are trash tqbh. Not to say frost stomp doesn't remain usable, because it does, but it's not the same in endgame as it is if you get it early(where it can carry you against some bosses). I think if anything when making the game they focused TOO much on making sure arts and spells weren't overpowered. Giving most of them either ridiculous costs or ridiculous cast times. Don't get me wrong, I do think frost stomp is too good, but I'd rather the game had more stuff like that then more 30 cost spells that will just get you killed if you try to use it.
@@BrandonHeat243 Exactly, you basically use pebble from early to late game. It gets boring after awhile
Can you still get the Raptor of the Mists ash of war if you got to the snowy zone before it?
So I used the heavy great star to get new game plus 3 (to get the platinum) I had no idea it healed you. That explains some things
Yo Rage, you can also get into Deeproot depths via the sewer Mohg boss under Leyndell city. After the boss fight you can hit the alter behind the Grace and it leads to a very deep pit/jumping puzzle. Fun little way to get down if you're not too keen on doing Radahn yet.
That's also the route for a secret ending, before you actually finish the game. Just a heads up for when you kill the final boss, make sure you take all of your armor off after entering through the secret door after Mohg
Can you still go to the sewers after you cake Leyndell in ash?
@@mog_3825 Which also explains what happened to the NPC Vyke, interesting lore indeed....
@@joelmichaelviado1226 Yes.
@@joelmichaelviado1226
Yes, you can. You just have to be weary that certain weapons and items disappear after the city is destroyed, are missable and can't be obtained until your next playthrough. How and when you decide to go down into the sewers etc, effects an important trophy and one of the endings.
Looking foward for that madness build.
Golden Land is also a monster in PvP. You simply can't trade into it, you'll lose every time. The second explosion combos into the R2 which is usually a kill, and if not, a quick poke away from death. I have it on my Greatsword and catch a lot of people slipping with it. Some builds really just have to run until I run out of FP, unless they have good ranged options.
But as good as it is, I tend to prefer dual 900 damage spears (with buffs). Another thing that basically no build can trade with, since Godchad Fingrbut is also a tank and a half.
I'm imagining Prelate's Charge on a bleed weapon. I don't know if each rapid fire hit during the animation counts individually, but that seems like it would be naaaaaasty to deal with. .
Each tick of damage from the weapon AND fire trail build bleed
@@Nine-Oh-Five woof. That is, in fact, as broken as I imagined.
pretty sure you can get to deeproot depths via the Well in Lyendell Capital also - its a secret area right down the bottom... After Mohg...
Can you show some examples on some more powerful or unconventional enemies? Bosses even would be amazing.
Fr
Thank you
This came intrinsically on the big red hammer but it cost FP to use the whole time its grinding on the ground...
Off topic question: how do you get to the north western part of mountaintops? I can't seem to find a way down there. 😞
I want to start a petition for all build videos to be in the mountain top of the giants. Enemies there are tanky af
Heard the name of that last one and im like
I thiiiiink ima wait to get that one
Gate front is the best place to try out weapons I always use it because at one time it was. Hard for me
try combining the great stars with prelate's charge with the godskin swaddling cloth with the taker's cameo
So can prelate's charge also proc the bleed from great stars?
I think it’ll be better to demonstrate abilities and weapons at dragonbarrow fork where the enemies are strong then those beginning ones
I've noticed parrying on here is like boxing. It's real precise and you have to parry the tip of the enemy weapon
Flame of the Redmanes is hideously overpowered as well, stunning most mobs (including bosses) in just two spammable casts. If you already covered it my apologies. Flame of the Redmanes basically got me through all of my first play through.
Does Roar Medallion work with the Horaloux Stomp ash?
OH! the two last! omg I need it!
Great stars plus golden land gives back so much health
Your content is great and helpful. But can you please add time stamp? Thanks
You can use the raptor of the mist ash to completely avoid the chariots in the various dungeons they are present
What... Dear God, I wish I had thought of that.
15:14 This reminds of Dante's trickster move in DMC
Does the plunging attack from Raptor of the Mists count as a jumping attack? Because that would be nice to combine with the jumping talisman.
It does, I use it with the Katar and it melt people, and it look like it give poise too, even if I got hit in the air by an collosal weapons it doesn't stop my aerial attack.
Will raptor of the mist work on the Elden Beast's attacks?
How do you use the jump attack for the raptor of the mists
Does the Hoarah Loux weapon art get buffed by the roar talisman?
Im planing on doing a new buil with earth shaker ash and prayerful strike ash both on greatstars the strike for bosseand earth shaker for normal mobs with 3k hp and bloodflame buff flame grant me strenght golden vow and bullgoat armor
