For the whole MAID thing, it can only be used for those who have disabilities or conditions that are so bad, that it is next to impossible to have a normal life. Like being deathly allergic to smells and the such, and to even get it, you must be 100 percent sure you want it and the doctor can not tell you to take it and will even try to disuad you from taking it, and the wait can be for so long that those that are accepted end up dying before the scheduled date is even decided
A huge part of why King David acting like that is because he was meant to be ordained by God. There is some context that suggests it wasn't consensual, and the advisor is horrified that their good, wise king is acting this way. He eventually has the husband killed off on the front-lines to cover his sins, and it starts the fall of King David. Fun side note, the song "Hallelujah" makes heavy allusions to this -- "I've heard there was a secret a chord, that David played and it pleased the Lord, but you don't really care for music do you?" Then later on "Your faith was strong, but you needed proof. You saw her bathing on the roof. Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you." The next part refers to Samson and Delilah more explicitly, but the whole song is built on Biblical references. The entire story of King David is mirrored in the song and its themes -- David, after the horrible things he did, is forced to rule for years more, living in the shadow of his own failures, and he becomes a fundamentally broken man.
It is neither mentioned nor implied in the story that it was non-consensual. After sleeping with her, he discovered he accidentally impregnated her, so he first tried to cover it up by releasing the husband from duty so he'll be with her, and fool him that it was he that impregnated her. Only when that failed he got him killed (by "accident", obvs.) As punishment for the adultery, he got (1) the child killed, and (2) his remaining oldest son rebel him by sleeping with his wives, trying to usurp him, getting killed by his general in the process. Afterwards Bathsheba bore him more sons, the first being his heir, Solomon... Adding that the rebellious son had a full sister and an older half-brother. The older half-brother raped the sister so the rebellious son killed him. This also is considered one of the punishments for the adultery...
To give context to the Tweet with Otis from Barnyard and Margaret from Regular Show, Barnyard's director, Bob Oedekerk, said he knew male cows lacked udders but decided to give Otis and the other male cows an udder because it's a distinct cow trait and most suburban viewers wouldn't be able to see what was off, unintentionally making all male cows trans.
34:14 MAID is NOT for someone who merely got a little hurt. It is aimed at people who have little time left or would be suffering for years to come due to their condition. Like say a terminal cancer patient who'd rather end it now instead of prolonging their suffering for another 2 months or someone with ALS that does not want to end up a burden on literally everyone else since they are poor and can't afford the same or better high tech Stephen Hawking had access to to get around. My mother with lung cancer was denied MAID. She died 2 weeks later all by herself at night in the hospital after her organs shut off following days of pain as medication barely did anything for the pain. We could've all been there with her in the last moment if she was allowed MAID. But nope.
You're missing a few _"supposed_ to be" from that. MAID gets recommended to people over stupid stuff even though it's not supposed to be, there seems to be a trend of it being recommended to those that disagree with Trudeau but that might just be survivorship or confirmation bias.
Yep. Alzheimers and dementia runs in my family, and my mother conditioned me early on to "arrange for her death" in the case that she ever started losing it. I actually ended up in a career that I could pull it off easily, but she died from long c-word-plague (is it still censored?) before it actually came up. My fiancée insists that it was abusive of her to ask that of her own child, but I think that it's a mercy that people should be allowed to legally choose so parents don't have to beg their children to literally kill them.

It's not specifically a Tumblr sexyman joke. It's actually a selfcest joke! Where someone ships a character with... that same character, either an AU variant or straight up just a clone. Or in The Doctor's case, shipping them with one of their past incarnations.
@@subparlario4916 Yeah, it clicked after I noticed mirror spock and Kira, but I still stand by my indignation! Loki was _hella_ shipped with himself in the early MCU phases. You couldn't geta away from Loki (and neither could he lol)
1:01:08 The joke here actually is a little more complex. To give a pretty basic explanation: on the political compass, Lib-right is the bottom right corner, and is usually portrayed with the color yellow. These are essentially the dudes who want a free market and want to be able to exploit people without having to deal with governing bodies (a free market). There is a subcategory of Lib-right that is portrayed with the color purple, who are basically the guys who REALLY embody this and lean heavy into the bottom right corner. There is a running gag that these “purple” Lib-rights are p***philes, hence why Ash is colored over purple, as the joke would insinuate that despite being 34, Ash still says he is 11 to talk to underage girls, therefore likening him to a purple Lib-right. Source: There is a whole subreddit dedicated to these strange color memes called r/politicalcompassmemes that have other examples of coloring over memes they think liken characters to having certain political ideologies
Ngl I kinda thought the extra layer to the joke was that the color surrounding him was "lavender" to reference lavender town (and just the general color scheme of ghosts and psychic powers from my memory). Basically saying Ash died and became a ghost of a child whose "unfinished business" is becoming a pokemon master/catching em all/training them But yeah the political compass explanation makes more sense all said
I have a friend that works as an engineer for a particular car company in Japan that has sort of "indirectly" met Elon Musk. He's basically an "ideas guy" where he throws out a bunch of borderline conspiracy theory ideas and then the other people around him try their best to make the thing he suggests work. Does it lead to innovation? Yes. Does it also lead to a bunch of unnecessarily wasted resources and frustrated workers trying to get the impossible to exist? Also yes. (I say he indirectly met him because he didn't actually have a one-on-one conversation with him, but his group was working with him.)
hey lois, bird peter here! females are typically duller colors for camouflage, i think what that commenter was saying they had the reasoning for males' more vibrant plumage wrong, which they did (no shade)! remember: everything a male bird (often referred to as a rooster or drake) does is done with the sole purpose of being sexier. bright coloration indicates a healthy bird, which female birds (referred to as hens) think is hot asf. birds of species in which both sexes have similar feather colors will often employ other methods such as elaborate dances or songs, or even building structures out of sticks & grasses which they decorate with cool stuff they find, or in the case of one of my personal favorites, the greater sage grouse, the male gets his booba out
I never knew about the greater sage grouse. I can confirm that the booba and fancy strutting is sexy af. Thank you for blessing me with this information.
1:12:30 I also can see another one meaning, which might be strange: he died earlier, than her, because he wasted his heartbeats on someone else, not only her. So he was cheating. But I guess, the actual meaning is really "he said, he would live a long life, thus meaning that he doesn't love her"
12:52 As soon as the reverse flash picture popped up I *actually* understood what it was and it took my breath out. I dont even know why i remember this one specifically but none the others
11:28 Now I'm on the fourth layer, pointing out the billionaire who made the sub basically had litteraly no care for safety, and that the Billionaires were lead to their untimely fate as, they were reminding that _"Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer."_ As their air of invincibility was irreparably shatter by the approximate weight of Two, Fully Armed, USS Yorktons, in a time period imprectible by the human mind. They did not suffer, or feel pain, since the time from structural failure to death was imprecible to the human mind. And Davy Jones said "I told Ya so."
21:56 I've never seen it mentioned anywhere that Heemeyer wanted to dump sewage into the town water supply, that is insane and obviously illegal. Idk where that guy got that from. When Heemeyer brought his grievances to town officials against the concrete plant being built next to his property, one of his reasons was the negative impact on the environment from the concrete plant's runoff affecting the town water supply.
It also cut into his business, and he was on the verge of losing his house. Apparently he approached the city's government multiple times to have the issue resolved, but nothing worked.
Also the notion of him promising to sell the property isn't wrong, but it implies something very far from the truth. He promised to sell the property, had it appraised, then knocked off I think $25,000 from the price. The offer was not accepted and as much as a year passed before Heemeyer learned that they were planning to re-zone the property he had offered to sell, which would affect the value of the property. So he had it appraised again with the proposed zoning changes to the property, and that ended up being his new offer. This offer was never accepted, and he would ultimately end up selling the property much later at an auction, which was twisted into "He increased his demand yet again to $400,000", or something along those lines.
10:26 For a second I read it as if the milk in the fridge was being used for coffee and cereal. Then I remembered mothers will pre-pump and save it for the baby. To be fair to JKR it was not just one Tweet (its Twitter because corporations don't deserve human rights, it is ok to deadname them). She who must not be named put a lot of time and effort into her increasingly transphobic tweets, essays and even novels. If someone puts that amout of effort to clarify their stance on a human rights issue, we should not play it down as "one tweet".
19:12 Fun fact: There is also a theory that Jon is schizophrenic and Garfield simply doesn’t exist. The reasoning behind this theory is the fact you can remove Garfield from some of the comics and the comic will still make sense.(though this comic loses water on the Garfield comics strips that don’t have Jon in them.)
Here to explains the missed "Xeet" joke: if you pronounce the x like sh, it would turn Twitter into Xitter. And yeah, one person was a 19 kid on that submersible who was terrified of getting in that thing, but did it for fathers day

I'd like to add to the post about Ash being 11 forever. In the Pokemon short "Pikachu & Pichu", released in 2000, Ash, Misty, and Brock let all of their pokemon out in a rooftop garden and tell them to hang out there for the day while the trio sets up a surprise inside the high-rise they're visiting. After a long day of adventuring with a pair of pichu brothers, Pikachu makes it back just in time for Ash to come out and invite the pokemon inside, where a glorious party has been put together. Ash proceeds to explain that today is the one-year anniversary of when he and Pikachu first met and became friends. Also, according to Bulbapedia, it's implied a year has passed between episodes 141 and 158, both of which take place after "Pikachu & Pichu". So it has been at least 2 years since Ash's journey began, bare minimum. Which means he should be 12.

1:08:34 It's specifically characters who've been shipped with alternate versions of themselves, sometimes called "selfcest"
Only when that failed he got him killed (by "accident", obvs.)
As punishment for the adultery, he got (1) the child killed, and
(2) his remaining oldest son rebel him by sleeping with his wives, trying to usurp him, getting killed by his general in the process.
Afterwards Bathsheba bore him more sons, the first being his heir, Solomon...
Adding that the rebellious son had a full sister and an older half-brother. The older half-brother raped the sister so the rebellious son killed him. This also is considered one of the punishments for the adultery...

Horse, the Peter is herd
To give context to the Tweet with Otis from Barnyard and Margaret from Regular Show, Barnyard's director, Bob Oedekerk, said he knew male cows lacked udders but decided to give Otis and the other male cows an udder because it's a distinct cow trait and most suburban viewers wouldn't be able to see what was off, unintentionally making all male cows trans.
Is that also why Margaret is red like a male cardinal?

1:08:33 Hey, Loki's status as a Tumblr sexyman predates sans, the onceler AND dirk!! I won't stand for this!!
I distinctly remember a lot of Jotunn!Loki/Asgardian!Loki and MCU!Loki/Comic!Loki. And after his personality change in the first Avengers, fans started dabbling in some existensial horror-flavored selfcest with him and his pre-Avengers self.
Basically saying Ash died and became a ghost of a child whose "unfinished business" is becoming a pokemon master/catching em all/training them
But yeah the political compass explanation makes more sense all said
It was just the pharaohs who got pyramids. Which actually makes the comic even better

Now I'm on the fourth layer, pointing out the billionaire who made the sub basically had litteraly no care for safety, and that the Billionaires were lead to their untimely fate as, they were reminding that _"Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer."_
As their air of invincibility was irreparably shatter by the approximate weight of Two, Fully Armed, USS Yorktons, in a time period imprectible by the human mind.
At least I REALLY hope it was only meant for the baby.

There is also a theory that Jon is schizophrenic and Garfield simply doesn’t exist.
