Adam and Jake concluded that, perhaps, the ancient believed that Wanhu "teleported" to the moon when the smoke cloud appeared, as it was so dense no one could see the direction the body went(and considering, in my personal opinion, that a human body is made of different material of a test dummy, I would say the guy got separeted in far more pieces than Buster)

That way they can make it appear like "an accident" and it's not so obvious that they intend to steal the other person's bike or scooter in that case. It's actually a very common tactic here, I've even heard of it in the news. Usually thieves don't come back until late at night though, when they can break your lock with no people around. I think in my country it's legal to cut the other lock in that case. I'd probably still get the police though and wait right there and not let my property out of sight.

When they turn around to glare at you, you then just look back like you're surprised and have no idea why they are looking at you. Usually the AH relents and holds the pole properly. It is unpleasant (especially in summer when backs are sweaty) but I think it's worth it. It probably doesn't teach them anything and they'll do it again asap, but at least I have that spiteful satisfaction of making them behave.
It's a theft in the making when they lock a bike to yours. They're banking on you going home without it and returning next day to see if it's been set free. Meanwhile they'll come back at night when no one is around and steal your bike.

The Duolingo icon changes when you neglect it. If you don't do lessons for a certain number of days the icon changes, and looks more ill and sad. It's pretty clever imo, gives you a little reminder as you'd probably not notice the icon if it didn't change.

The bike lock is a theft technique. They attach a cheap bike to yours and see if you will abandon yours overnight. They come back later when there's less people around to cut both bikes free. If they are seen, they can pretend your bike is locked to theirs and they were on!y trying to get their own back. If they aren't seen, they just take both bikes.

I've got a roaster from tge 1950s. It has 0 silicon. Everything in it is made of bimetallic strips! It toasts bread PERFECTLY every single time! Even frozen bread! It's a sunbean ag-w or whatever. Their patent on the thermostat expired a decade ago, and toasters still use little timers instead of sensing the color if the bread!

The ones with the label suggesting setting it cap down have a cap with the little squeeze-squirt valve to make sure the contents don't keep pouring out when you stop squeezing. The ones with the label the other way just have the usual cap with a little hole -- these are less convenient to store upside down because then sometimes when you open them they start pouring out, especially if they're partway empty and the air has warmed and expanded to make a little pressure. They put the different cap types on different sizes of ketchup, with the largest value size being the standard hole cap, presumably because such a large bottle is a bit unweildy to dispense ketchup from, and is probably intended more for refilling the little bottles from or when a recipe calls for it. Relish always seems to get the hole cap though, which is probably why the label is that way. At a guess, the little chunks in relish would clog the squirt valve.

That way they can make it appear like "an accident" and it's not so obvious that they intend to steal the other person's bike or scooter in that case. It's actually a very common tactic here, I've even heard of it in the news. Usually thieves don't come back until late at night though, when they can break your lock with no people around.
I think in my country it's legal to cut the other lock in that case. I'd probably still get the police though and wait right there and not let my property out of sight.

The Duolingo icon changes when you neglect it. If you don't do lessons for a certain number of days the icon changes, and looks more ill and sad. It's pretty clever imo, gives you a little reminder as you'd probably not notice the icon if it didn't change.

The bike lock is a theft technique. They attach a cheap bike to yours and see if you will abandon yours overnight. They come back later when there's less people around to cut both bikes free.

It is kind a shocking that when it comes to Lego mini figs misprints that collectors love misprints because it doesn't happen all that often and since it is a main Star wars chertier they should put it in a display case then try and sell it to collectors.

I've got a roaster from tge 1950s. It has 0 silicon. Everything in it is made of bimetallic strips! It toasts bread PERFECTLY every single time! Even frozen bread!
It's a sunbean ag-w or whatever. Their patent on the thermostat expired a decade ago, and toasters still use little timers instead of sensing the color if the bread!

The wallpaper job reminds me of how my landlord filled the holes in the walls left by the previous tenant. They just slapped spackle over it. No sanding, no repainting, just straight spackle. It looks so bad that my dad actually took pictures of it to remind the landlord that it wasn't us who did it because it looked like a bad DIY job.
For the Duolingo one, I have a theory. You see that the person has 7 Duolingo notifications, so it's been a while since they've done their lessons. So maybe this is Duolingo's quip to say "this is what you look like since you don't do your lessons" (Which is amongst the less... interesting thing they do if you don't do your lessons). Cause I currently have a 263 streak, and the logo is now a Duo face on fire for me, saying that I'm on fire with that high hot streak. So I imagine it's like that, but the opposite
I have a 111 streak and it did that nasty sh*t.

Heinz relish and mustard come upright in a pack with ketchup in the lid down position. I don’t think they actually sell mustard and relish separately so they are always in the up down up configuration. But you can buy just ketchup and of course it has the upside down orientation.

I despise autocorrect! It's even worse because I use talk texting. My son's nickname is Boop. I have to check all the time because it either comes up as boob or poop. I check my texts constantly after the following occurred.
I was texting my older daughter one day and said "I was talking to your Mom and Boop about (blah, blah, blah) " and realized, after I clicked send, that the text came out, "I was talking to your Mom's boobs ..." Their mom and I have been separated for over 20 years. The days of having conversations with her boobs are long gone. 😂😂😂 My daughter thought it was hilarious, by the way.

Duolingo occasionally does this just to get people talking about the platform. It is the literal advertising equivalent of spitting on the table to get someone's attention, and something that I was taught that a good advertiser shouldn't do.

The Heinz bottles at the end: It seems to be based on what kind of cap they put on it. The ones with the label suggesting setting it cap down have a cap with the little squeeze-squirt valve to make sure the contents don't keep pouring out when you stop squeezing. The ones with the label the other way just have the usual cap with a little hole -- these are less convenient to store upside down because then sometimes when you open them they start pouring out, especially if they're partway empty and the air has warmed and expanded to make a little pressure. They put the different cap types on different sizes of ketchup, with the largest value size being the standard hole cap, presumably because such a large bottle is a bit unweildy to dispense ketchup from, and is probably intended more for refilling the little bottles from or when a recipe calls for it.
Relish always seems to get the hole cap though, which is probably why the label is that way. At a guess, the little chunks in relish would clog the squirt valve.
Autocorrect. I hate it so much sometimes, especially when it doesn't let you know it is making a change.
