I can't believe that having horribly wrong captions is a thing that's normalized now seeing as plenty of TV shows and movies also have these issues. Subtitles are an accessibility feature and yet are rarely actually accessible.
@@cultofmel Can't say if it's what happened here, but something that has become a lot more common is studios firing their translators and localization specialists, replacing them with AI. AI that are not yet proficient enough to properly translate nuances, or sometimes even correct phrasing.

But the best part (keep in mind I've only really seen this in one of the batman shows) is that Bruce Wayne's public opinion on batman is that essentially he's a nutcase that should be locked up like the criminals he catches
The only weakness of the lasso it's that the person will tell a truth but not the general truth, in reality Batman is Bruce Wayne but for him is the other way around

Looks like total crap, the mouth movements were way off and even the subtitles didn't match more than once in this short clip! How do you mess that up? 😂
There's no excuse for the subtitles, but the animation is using loops to save time and money. Lots of games do this and on its own isn't a mark of good or bad quality. That being said, there's usually SOME effort to make it less obvious.

Also who the hell thought of putting so much echo and effects on the Monitor? Couldn't make out what was being said 1/2 the time and was forced to rely on the sub titles. Also what the hell was up with Batman's dance before grappling away? That seemed so out of character for him. Does WB not care about keeping quality?

I don’t know about “only acceptable” but damn is he good. Iconic. It’s hard not to compare others to him and I guess that sucks for others, but many have put in great efforts worthy of respect even if they don’t quite measure up to Kevin Conroy’s level.
