Fun fact , the wd stands for "water displacement " 40 being the formula attempt. It was designed for wiping down rocket engines for the Saturn rocket boosters. To prevent ambient humidity from condensing and freezing on the rocket. Tons of ice can gather in less than a second at 20,000 mph on a ice cold 100 foot tall, 33 foot diameter cylinder. (I don't remember exactly the measurements,but a projectile that is 3 times longer than it's diameter is a g1 ballistic coefficient of 1. )That is a lot of surface area, so even a thin coat of ice , say .5mm thick, would weigh literally tons. The weight gain could prevent a successful spacebound launch.
In honor of the great Jack and Vera, I thank you. I'm just awaiting on a cheaper version hoping that I might take to the art, at which point I'll be upgrading, but this gives me the confidence to know that as long as the mechanism is sound, and solid, I should at least be able to tighten it up a little, so; Thanks again.
i have this machine as well. the biggest problem i have is levelling the table. I've gone back and forth between index 96 and 48 adjusting the front foot to no avail. i can not get a flat table. there is always a slight difference which causes a facet between 96 and 48. It frustrates me so much!
as a machinist who has to regularly adjust milling machine parts to exact 90-degrees using an analogous technique I'm surprised this guy didn't do it, and it also requires doing it at indexes 24 and 72 to get one of the rear legs properly adjusted (the other one should be left alone). In fact what bothers me about this video is that the guy never really did anything to properly adjust his hand piece, he went from a rough guess using his aluminum plate glued to a dop to readjusting all his feet to previously marked locations, and never once showed how to do any fine adjusting, its not clear that he even knows how to do any fine adjusting.
Is there any option to buy this in Europe or Germany?? I`ve found the official side but the shipping cost are round about $400 from Sri Lanka to Germany...
By touching it against the diamond disk to use more of the unused portion of the disk to cut quicker.In other words time to get a new disk and be more careful. I have got a new index wheel ready to go.

What about if you set it at 90 and checked that both 96 and 48 are flat to set the front leg?
