I agree. I have the same machine and it is three years old, and now the inlet hot water leaks. I paid $800 for it. Maytag does not have the reputation used to have. I will get a Samsung or ...
Im sure it's to late for most of you. Here is how I fixed mine. If you machine flows water while set to hot water it is your water inlet screen clogged. Pull it out and clean it. Use needle nose pliers and it pulls out like a Cork. Screw all this diagnostic testing. Something so simple took me all day to troubleshoot. Hit like if it worked. I had mine stuck in sensing mode. Try this if just hot works.
oof she keeping it real. Just started having issues, I think its the control board it doesn't turn on, so cant drain or do anything. But yea I've had it for 4 years lol. If I do it myself the control board on the official website costs $500 lol you're right might as well buy a new washer.
Going through issues with mine also. Changed agitator, and actuator (2 times) and just changed splutch drive today, still not working. Total piece of crap.
Sted paying Maytag I get me another better screw Maytag I made a big mistake buying one of those too .. I just going to get Rid of my problems throwing that piece of shit away
This washer is the worst appliance I have ever owned and there have been a few. Useless. Stand over and manually fill, always. Might try one more service. Might not. It is annoying
the same model here, I fixed the not spinning wash plate last year by tightening the big center screw, and this year (today) it was stuck in sensing and will do nothing else, check online videos and nothing works for me, I removed the control panel everything looks fine but I saw a clear thin hose with an orange wire inside (no power) and the orange wire inside was not connected to anything so I disconnect the clear hose and I heard air escaping them connect clear hose back in place and try again and the machine starts working fine, that fix the issue! many issues with this machine,
Maytag went bankrupt several years ago due to the mold machines they manufactured several years ago. Whirlpool bought the name Maytag. I thought they would bring the brand back with some sort of quality. I have the exact same model you do. The main gear driving the agitator is made out of cheap plastic and the gears strip out rather easily. I will never again buy Maytag, Whirlpool, GE, or Kenmore products as they are all very poor quality with no craftsmanship at all. Just junk.
I have one of those and I had the same problem but , all you have to do is Return the bottom to normal wash and then go one Click to the Left to silky sheet and is going to work fine😁
Thank you Ivan, you just saved me from kicking my washer lol. This fixed my problem until I can figure something else out. Seven people in the house with a three year old washer and its junk. Thanks again
Read your owners instruction Manuel, …. Hi, I have the same washer, For small loads set dial to “Normal “ and for larger loads set dial to “ Bulky Sheets” and water temperature, set accordingly.

I have the same washer and keep having issues with it. My washer is about 2 year old.
So frustrating!
Ours is 5 years old. Stopped turning on. $300+ repair. Warranty is useless. Terrible machine.
