Takumi found himself in an alternate world, he was just driving his HachiRoku down Akina after delivering the tofu, and he found himself in this weird fantasy world. Looking around, still speeding in his 86, he saw a couple fighting off a monster. A large, ugly beast. Takumi, reacting, puts the car into 5th gear, and speeds towards it, the chiming starting as he focuses on the monster, and honks at the two. They jump out of the way, and Takumi puts the car into a high speed drift, using the tail end to slam into the monster, which, would have normally damaged it, but in this world, it cut through the monster like a blade. The monster lets out a loud roar as the couple moves back in, slashing and cutting at it. Takumi spins around, and with his car aimed at the monster, he revs the engine. Quickly slamming the car into 1st gear, he takes off, engine roaring as he sped off, speeding towards the monster. 60 kmh, 80 kmh, 100 kmh, 120, 140, 160, 180... Until finally the engine was near redlining, the chime dinging to him. He yells out, a blue aura forming around the car as the couple spotted it and jumped onto the roof. The car continued speeding forwards, until finally the couple jumped up. Takumi rammed the creature's legs, knocking it over. The couple, still having the speed of the car, stabbed their weapons into the monster and dragged it, as they ripped the monster in half. The monster lets out a guttural screech as it dies, exploding into thousands of opaque triangles that quickly disappear in the sky. Takumi, having helped defeat the monster, turns the HachiRoku off, and steps out. The two confront him, and tell him their names, Asuna, and Kirito. They ask him where he's from, there aren't any cars in the world they're in. Spacey Takumi shrugs, and tells them he's from the Gunma prefecture, specifically near Mt. Akina. The two look at eachother, before shaking Takumi's hand. They were interrupted by a loud roar, as a hoard of monsters come barreling their way. The Kirito boy grinned while he gripped his sword, asking Takumi for his help. The teen nodded and sat down in his car, turning the engine on, which roared to a start, and purred as it sat in neutral. With his car ready, he revs the engine, and puts the car into 1st gear, wheels spinning before he speeds off, the two jumping onto the roof, as he quickly sped up, switching through gears without flaw. Every movement of the car was smooth and planned out perfectly, executed without flaw. Kirito isn't a car guy himself, but damn, the perfection in Takumi's driving impressed him. The car, now at max speed, was closing in on the hoard. Kirito yells out "SWITCH!!!, as he does, the car suddenly brakes and starts into a drift, a full-sideways drift. The couple are launched forwards, who then begin to slice and dice the monsters. As Takumi would take out the creature's legs while drifting, engine roaring loud as he inertia drifted all over, creating marks in the grass that showed hos perfect his driving style is. There is no hard edge in the marks, everything is curved or rounded in some way. Asuna and Kirito would cut down the monsters that were knocked over, even using the drifting hatchback to bounce off of and strike from different angles. The auras of the three synced up so perfectly, that the main front line fighting force watching, simply stood in awe. The beautiful, pure and genius aura of the HachiRoku, and the young but courageous auras of Asuna and Kirito perfectly synced together. Soon after, another hoard is spotted closing in quickly from behind the three fighters. And when all hope is lost, due to the mere size of the hoard, a loud screeching is heard. A red Lancer-Evolution, An orange and black Veilside RX-7, a carbon-hood AE86, a large white and black mecha with the words "Fujiwara" on the cockpit, and an army of knights dressed in black and gold armor all appeared through a portal. Takumi looks confused, seeing his Hachi with a carbon hood, but soon found out it's an older version of him. Along with two other drifters, and an arm of knights, lead by a man named the "Golden Crusader", and another future version of himself, that is the pilot of a giant mecha. The entire fighting force, backed up by the front line fighting force, charged at this new hoard, the final battle of this world. The cars speeding ahead with the best fighters on it, The knight army riding horses into battle, full speed, wielding their sword and shields. The two massive armies collided head on, in what would be known as the First Great Aincrad War. Four cars drifting around, fighters bouncing and launching off the cars, using the momentum of the cars to project themselves. The knights slashing and blocking, using their horses to disorient the monster hoard. At the end of the mass war, the losses are nonexistent for Takumi and his friends, but the monsters?... They're all gone. The First Great Aincrad War was over. And at the head of the battle was a spacey teenager, that drives a white and black hatchback. *(Thanks for reading! I got it recommended by a friend and I couldn't stop watching till the end just like you can't stop watching a violent car accident despite it being so horrible. MC was a boring perfect know it all, no cool fights, the shrimp wins just by being so amazing and perfect at everything (not only he's the greatest pro at his videogame, he knows how to hack/code from inside a vr game and is an innovator, he invented dual wielding, he's a genius but also kind and brave!), villain was a boring rape loser, not one memorable or interesting side character, there's one of the worst and most pathetic love stories I've ever seen where they even become husband and wife in the virtual world and adopt an AI daughter. It all felt like a really bad fanfiction of some guy's videogame avatar, only despite it being so bad none of it becomes comical because of how unoriginal and basic the plot is. I did hear from the same friend who recommended it that following seasons get "a lot" better, but I never gave them a chance, especially considering how many ok animes there actually are around to watch.
@@VaatiEmblem2 In all honesty, all arcs are good besides Fairy Dance Arc(Alfheim Online). Fairy Dance feels totally unneeded for me(asides incest). When I finished watching SAO season 1 for the first time, I really wished SAO arc's content should have expanded more. I mean there's SAO progressive now, but still... Really, Fairy Dance Arc feels so filler-ish but it has its moments like Sugo's beatdown.

All of a sudden I'm reminded of a dream I once had, where I was in some kind of immersive MMO thing, but it was supposed to be based around exploring space, landing on planets and fighting other players with military vehicles. See, I wasn't doing that: instead, I had fallen in with a group of car enthusiasts who noticed the lightest vehicles in a recent update were militarized sports cars, so they would collect these cars, take off all the armor and weapons, and just go racing with them. We'd somehow found one of those car proving grounds on one planet and decided to have a meet, doing this sort of mixed-terrain rallycross thing on a track that was part hard dirt and part softer mud. I wish I could say the SAO parallels went farther, what with me favoring some sexy mid-engine number that I didn't take the fording snorkel off of because I thought it was cool, but mine was red and it'd have to be black to fit. That and my driving was decidedly average, but hey.

It all felt like a really bad fanfiction of some guy's videogame avatar, only despite it being so bad none of it becomes comical because of how unoriginal and basic the plot is.
I did hear from the same friend who recommended it that following seasons get "a lot" better, but I never gave them a chance, especially considering how many ok animes there actually are around to watch.

@@VaatiEmblem2 In all honesty, all arcs are good besides Fairy Dance Arc(Alfheim Online). Fairy Dance feels totally unneeded for me(asides incest). When I finished watching SAO season 1 for the first time, I really wished SAO arc's content should have expanded more. I mean there's SAO progressive now, but still...
Really, Fairy Dance Arc feels so filler-ish but it has its moments like Sugo's beatdown.

All of a sudden I'm reminded of a dream I once had, where I was in some kind of immersive MMO thing, but it was supposed to be based around exploring space, landing on planets and fighting other players with military vehicles.
See, I wasn't doing that: instead, I had fallen in with a group of car enthusiasts who noticed the lightest vehicles in a recent update were militarized sports cars, so they would collect these cars, take off all the armor and weapons, and just go racing with them. We'd somehow found one of those car proving grounds on one planet and decided to have a meet, doing this sort of mixed-terrain rallycross thing on a track that was part hard dirt and part softer mud.
I wish I could say the SAO parallels went farther, what with me favoring some sexy mid-engine number that I didn't take the fording snorkel off of because I thought it was cool, but mine was red and it'd have to be black to fit. That and my driving was decidedly average, but hey.
