Good review👍 but I must disagree on few things Have been using ar613 for 6 months now with 50 ft kobrajet hose sg28 gun and pf22 foam cannon and indeed this machine will work on a 15 amp circuit with pf22 foam cannon with 1.25 orifice no problem, performed several long duty cycle jobs around house where foam cannon was on quite a bit as well washing cars on different 15 amp outlets and never had it blow a fuse, or overheat using 4.5 and 4.0 orifice nozzle as well, talking from experience here. That a big advantage of this machine over ar630 where this is not possible, plus it’s 20lb lighter more compact easier to transport and doesn’t look like it was designed in 1980’s but that’s subjective since everyone has different style preferences. Main BENEFIT IT DEFINITELY DOES WORK ON 15AMP CUIRCT WHILE USING FOAM CANNON and STILL PUTS OUT 2.0 GPM you will not find a machine currently on the market matching those two criteria specially at this price point.

Sorry for the " dumb " question, but 15 amp is basically 1600 watts ? Here in Europe is different , but basically anything over 2200-2300 watt is pushing it , and 2800watts is pretty much the safety limit for an outlet.

I like my 613. I like the looks, don't have an issue with 20amp circuit and do all my washing outside, so noise doesn't bother. Also needed a portable option and you can get the AR613 (which I did) with a very nice cart for a small additional cost. Like the 630, it also has TSS (auto stop/start), so very useable. The pump is of a good quality and with a 4.5mm nozzle, the flow/pressure is perfect for car detailing. Also, i was able to order it without any of the useless crappy accessories, able to use my MTM/Mossmatic attachments and hoses instead. So, for half the cost of the Kranzle, I have a portable, good quality system that provides equivalent performance. Of course, we'll have to see how it holds up, but support seems to be good, emailed them with a couple of questions and got a prompt answer. Italian versus German engineering...that's another question, isn't it.

For roughly the same cost, you should have purchased the 630. That is the conclusion I confirmed after testing this.

@Obsessed Garage I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for all the the amazing content on your channel. I am also a student who sits at your knee in all things car detailing! However, in this, perhaps we can agree to disagree. Thanks so much for all the hard work you have put in!!
Performance: equivalent based on your testing and AR website specs (1900/2.1)
Cost: equivalent but you get a nice cart with the 613 for that price
Pump: The 630 pump may be more "robust" but specs same:
      - both with brass pump head, triplex ceramic plunger
      - 120V/60Hz induction motor for both
      - warranty same
Looks: I like the looks of the 613, so it wins for me, you like the looks of the 630
Portability: 613 wins with a high quality cart accessory and significantly lighter
Current Draw: I agree, a 15 amp circuit is insufficient for either pump, so a lose for the 613 since they advertise less than 15 amp draw.
For me, the 613 with cart is more portable and so a better solution since I have a dedicated 20 amp circuit. If it breaks a month after the warranty runs out, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong!
Thanks again for all the great content!!

@@Reaper-Jim I'd agree. I kinda impulse bought it as I was tired of not having a pressure washer. I just don't have the ability to afford a kranzle or anything more expensive than what I bought. But compared to greenworks pressure washers I've used this thing feels much more stout. The pressure is there almost immediately when you squeeze the gun and it feels pretty powerful. It could probably use a bigger orifice size on the nozzle, but I don't have a way of testing what the pressure is.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 года назад +1

@@ObsessedGarage they did it because it says "Adams".
Let's be honest, we all know that there are people that don't or can't think for themselves for better or worse and just latch on to stuff for various reasons. Adams has great marketing and a robust chemical line where pretty much every product is at least decent, with some spectacular chemicals mixed in along the way. Lots of people getting into detailing will see a good deal on the product they need at the moment and pull the trigger just because of that.
Just like (again let's be honest) we know some people are just going to buy whatever uncle Matt likes and anything branded Obsessed Garage. The upside there is that at least if those people are going to follow your footsteps instead of thinking for themselves, they're going to be getting a product that's been vetted and tested and meets a minimum quality threshold or it wouldn't be available through OG.
I say that not because I believe following others is inherently bad or having brand loyalty is stupid. Some people don't want to think for themselves in every single scenario and that's understandable in this crazy world so again it's lucky for them that you've done not only the thinking for them but also the leg work, testing and sourcing.
But at the end of the day that's the long and short of it, some people are gonna buy the shiny thing that pops up when they need it. Some people are gonna research it themselves. Some people are going to be lucky enough to know or remember that Uncle Matt already did the hard part for them and roll with whatever you recommend.

I actually own this machine. Matt's aseessment that it is a Mustang is about right.
    Pros's:
    - It is portable
    - It works well spec wise
    - I actually find it pretty - I find the 630 and the Kranzle's ugly actually - so this is purely subjective
    Con's
    - It is very noisy
    - The pressure gauge does not have numbers
On the amperage, I cannot comment since I have the 220V version which consumes half the current of the 110V version (Power = V * I, double V, you need half I).
Overall, fairly happy with the machine. I needed the machine to be portable since I use it in the backyard, for the car, to wash windows, etc. So having a stationary machine was not going to cut it for me.
@Matt, where did you get that pressure gauge? I think it is a good idea to stick one at the output of the machine to be able to dial ~1000 psi for cars, and about half of that or less for bikes.

Thank you for reviewing the AR 613. I was wondering if you have considered carrying it solely because of the cart option which can also come with the optional 50 fr hose and reel which is considered the AR 613K. I contacted AR directly for pricing but was wondering if it’s possible to order it through you. I have a dedicated 20 amp circuit in my garage that I use specifically for my current pressure washer setup so overcurrent shouldn’t be an issue.

I have this unit and it works ok for me and haven’t had an issue w/it throwing breakers when using foam cannon. However, the problem I do have is the freaking garden hose connector. My 1st one leaked between the two nuts so I ordered a 2nd on thinking something was wrong with it. The 2nd one did the same. I’ve replaced the washers and can’t get this thing to stop leaking. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Love your videos on these but would never spend a grand on an electric pressure washer. I purchased many cheap ones and found that my CAT electric pressure for 220$ on amazon is by far the best cheapo electric washer. Id be interested in the numbers though flow an d gpm its rated at 1800psi at 2 gpm. You should get it and test it as it has total stop and produces tons of thick foam. I guess because it's a CAT it's held to a higher standard and quality is probably better. I dunno.

I think this is a better quality pump than the Comet, but the Comet will work on pretty much any 15A circuit. The other advantage of the Comet is its versatility. For $600, you can roll with a Comet right out of the box and wall mount it very simply.

Obsessed Garage and the washer ran fine for 2 months. Then this issue arose. Worked with the detail shop I bought from and Ar blames the issue on the use of the foam cannon. I was running a 1.25 orifice. The business I bought the tool from, credited me so I could buy the kranzle 1622ts. The business said they’ve had a few come back and isn’t offering the 613 anymore. No issues with the 630. Hope this helps
