Hi! I hate to be that guy, but you should be crediting Karl Kasey (White Bat Audio) for the use of his music in all your video descriptions. The generosity of that creator to make these banger tracks free to use is amazing, and all he asks is that he be credited for his work.
I've been enjoying your videos man I'm glad to have found this channel. Super helpful for someone who wants to play Astra Militarum.

The models are a lot of fun to build, pose, and paint. The bombast has a working breech! Hopefully 10th ends up being far less lethal so that things like this can survive.

It’s great to see you showcasing community models in these tactical reviews again! It was always fun to see all the cool conversions and amazing paint schemes the Guard community have done. Hopefully this is here to stay over the codex art.

For my Landsknecht-Griphon themed project, I've had ordered the classic Salvo Cannon/ Missile Rack thing from WHFB Imperium. I felt so smart when they announced these batteries. I was going to use them as weapon teams 😂

I'm just going to get myself some bottle tops, pens, snap fasteners and some other tat and make a load of these from scrap. I guess I need to get some artillery eventually.

It's a cool model and I'm happy to have two batteries, but it's a useless unit. In the 10th edition I predict it will be less effective against armoured units because it will probably have Str 9 and AP -1, but with the new blast rule can be more effective against infantry. I think it will be as fragile as now, but I hope it will be cheaper. 100 points would be a good point cost in my opinion.

Thanks for the video. Its a nice kit and the crew are nicely posed. I found that its easier to hide 2x BFG's than 3x squads of Mortars (I am stuck using the old 60mm base size) and use less 'Heavy' slots in an ark detatchment. Also 'swingy' the bigger bat is a threat that your opponent's react to. They really messed up the rules and/or points for these so lets hope 10th fixes that but to discontinue FW I'll have 3 Thudd guns to proxy.and more p--s jugs to fire.

Dear Mordian Glory. I'm feeling kinda sad I just finished my CSM army my first army after 9 months of hard work. It includes 3 Decimators. I've been listening about the Guard for a long time from you and am now considering getting a second army of Guard. I'm curious about a good artillery guard starter list if we want to play an indirect fire playstyle

The best part of this kit is that it comes with extra soldiers that arent required to be on the model. So if you pick up the combat patrol you can bash the Cadian Command Squad leader into a Castellan or Death Korps Marshal and just replace him with one of the Sgt's from the FOB. Having a few extra models to bash/proxy is always nice!

Couldn't agree more that the launcher needs to have indirect fire.

I love the look of the FOBs, especially the Bombasts… but I rarely ever use the two units from the Army Box and Combat Patrol. For just 20 more points I could run a naked Leman Russ BT, which is much more versatile and TANK-y.
IF the Bombasts were better, I’ve love to buy multiples and create batteries of them to rain down fire on enemy units, but unfortunately, they’re too vulnerable and swingy. It’s sad that Mortars are so much better than FOBs.
I agree that it makes no sense the Malleus Rocket Launchers don’t have Indirect Fire. The way they’re angled upward, I don’t buy that they’re direct fire weapons. I think GW just wanted to differentiate them from the Bombasts so they decided they wouldn’t have Indirect Fire, effectively making them unplayable. I wonder if FOBs will be changed in 10e? I don’t recall if their new datasheet has been previewed yet.

While i enjoy artillery, the bombast has consistently let me down, same as the rocket launcher. Although, perhaps it's due to me only playing really against my friends- a tyranid and necron player

I would take a Basilisk before an Earthshaker, it cost less money, it can fight back better, it has better defensive stats, and it can actually move. 240 inch range means it doesnt have to move, but having the ability to move can save the units life and give you an extra turn or two of attacks. Both units use the same cannon, one just cost an exorbitant amount of cash and it loses a bunch of viability for the sake of saving 20 points. Comparing the FOB to the Basilisk though, you get D6+3 vs 2D6, 4-9 attacks vs 2-12, theoretically both would average approximately the same amount of attacks over time, with the FOB sometimes doing better and sometimes doing worse than the Basilisk, and the Basilisk being move consistent than the FOB. Ultimately, the Basilisk would be the better choice as its a lot tougher, has more weapons and it has a 10" move. Now to compare the Basilisk to the Heavy Mortar Teams and I think the Basilisk still wins out. Having to hide 3 big mortars AND their crew has got to be cumbersome vs hiding a solitary tank unit. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong but you also cannot move the mortar teams once placed? Wahapedia doesnt list a movement stat. Moving on... The mortar team has T6 and 7 wounds per unit, which makes them surprisingly tough, but they also only have 1 AP, so they wont be doing as much damage as their counterparts. What we need to compare I believe is Pound Them To Dust vs Take Aim. Take Aim counteracts the indirect fire penalty perfectly, but if you roll snake eyes on your number of attacks role, its not going to matter a whole lot. Pound Them To Dust has a bit of the opposite effect, youll still take the indirect penalties, but you'll often get 6 to 9 attacks. You'll be hitting on 5+ instead of 4+ but youll be averaging more attacks as long as the unit receives orders. On top of all that you get Born Soldiers, and Ingrained Precision if you really want to squeeze the juice. All in all, I'm going to run FOB's simply because I have them and indirect fire is super useful, but I now have my eyes on spending an extra 10 points for a lot more versatility, survival and damage output through the Basilisk. Came here to hear about FOB's, left here looking to buy a Basilisk!

Every time you talk about Forgeworld, I kinda wonder how rich your dad is to give you so overpriced and expensive stuff. Unless you're paid by GW, maybe you should instead link to free 3D blueprints. Just a thought.
I mean, I doubt most honest people can afford Forgeworld so it feels like a pay-to-win scenario where the rich can get hold on some real OP stuff compared to the ordinary pieces GW produce for us peasants. 3D printed stuff would be the only means us poor sods can compete against those with questionable income bringing Forgeworld to the table. o_O
Just my humble opinion and thoughts. Correct me if I'm wrong and that Forgeworlds stuff is actually balanced and not at all overbalanced against GW's models
