    I love taking my punchy Kasrkin (2x Melta, 2x Grenade Launcher, Melta Mine) inside a Valkyrie, then Move Move Move the valk with Leontus to drop them off right in front of an important enemy vehicle. Then bring them back with Reinforcements if I need to

    For the dakakin, you could also give the castellan the drill commander upgrade so you get those sustained hits on a +5. Throw in a chimera it would be 235 points of anti-infantry, and even anti-marine pain rolling through.

    The hardest part of load outs for your kasrkins is simply finding the new squads for regular retail cost.

      I've started seeing the Kill Team boxes in my local hobby store in New Zealand; two boxes came in over the last three or so weeks. I'm guessing things are slowly starting to come back now that GW have wound down from Leviathan, new nids and new marines and the production of the new Christmas battleboxes coming up in a few months.

    I might start collecting Kasrkin guard, and hopefully converting some of my Cadians to kasrkin, I personally think that they are a very reliable and effective way to play guard, from what I’ve seen. Also, great video, keep it up!

      Definitely doable, one box will give you like 20+ heads and there will be loads of backpacks and weapons left over. 2 plasma, 2 grenade, 2 volleygun, 2 meltas and 1 flamer in a pack.

    If you’re looking at mechanised Kasrkin, an argument has to be made for a brick of Scions in a Taurox Prime. Sure they don’t get the extra order, but the full reroll hits and wounds makes them very tasty!

    Loved the vid. Youve inspired me to finally get into the table top after years of "eh maybe, its kind of expensive". If i ever build a guard army i want it to be a Cadian unit so id would be using plenty of these because like you i am an infantry commander at heart haha. For my first army though i wanna go Orks. I love them but them seem like a very hit or miss army from the vids ive seen. Have you seen any ork lists do well and if so what was it? My impulse is to go all out on infantry but i would like to also win occasionally xD

    I want to live in that magical world were Mordian lives and Kasrkin have an ok chance to do actual damage to a space marine unit with their current rules and kit.
    Mine can't kill anthything bulkier than a Fire Warrior.

      I remeber the wonderful days when Stormtroopers hot-shot lasguns were AP3. The look on space marine players realised they wouldn't be getting saves was always priceless.
      Sad to see that the hot shot lasgun hs slowly been reduced to an extra bright flashlight.

    This and how the hell to win in Combat Patrol with Astra Militarum!!! I’ve searched through your last year of vids and haven’t found much on tactics for the alt rules (combat Patrol and boarding action)

      Combat Patrol AM is pretty good actually. Hide your artillery unit with the rocket launcher peeking out, don't attach the command squad to a unit, leave them standalone and HIDE THEM, take the Enhancement where the command squad can order the entire force, play very aggressive with your cadian shock troops you want to get value out of them and then get them killed so you can bring them back in reinforcements which gives you actually a surprising amount of board control. Use the Armored Sentinel to anchor a flank and use it as a distraction as it doesn't do much damage, but is surprisingly tanky and hard to down.

    One thing I like to do is to get stupid amounts of AP going with them. Daring recon that’s +1 AP,fields of fire though a whole 2 command points with an Ursula Creed it’s free and you can have it running every round. That’s a whole 3 AP on your basic hotshot lasguns. That knocks space marines to 6+ save. I find it sort of funny to have 2+ reroll 1 rapid fire 2 AP 3 lasguns with lethal hits and sustain hits.

    2 melta and 2 flamer in a chimera with 2 Heavy Flamer. Overwatch four flamers or can cruise closer to vehicles and monsters for that melta.punch

    I don't think you mentioned using the Warrior Elite ability while in reserves to come on the board hitting on 2+ or with Take Cover.

    Big fan of the channel, and 3 year guard player, but I can't help but feel that this is mostly badass theory but what actually happens on the table top, especially against decently built lists, is fall far short.
    I have had opportunities to try out some previous mordian recommendations and it's no where near as punchy as the videos would lead them to believe. Any advice?

      Man I keep seeing this... It's just Guard as a whole has to get better at the game. Copying white room theory is flawed like you mentioned. I mean following everything Mordian does like I see some of the fans do also makes no sense. You know what was said in this video at one point?: "You'll prolly have a scout Sentinel to give reroll 1s. It's basically auto include." You know what I haven't seen in a single bat rep or tournament report for 10th? A squad of scout Sentinels 😅😅

      Genuinely please find me a 10th edition bat rep of any Guard player taking a squad of Scout Sentinels (not just one) and consistently uses Daring Recon. It doesn't exist

      If the enemy fires AP -1 or more. For example: AP -1 into save +3 (with cover) -> 4+ save. Then cover applies -> 3+ save.
      Same with AP - 2; Save 3+ -> 5+. Apply cover and -> 4+

    Btw can someone help me out with a rule? If you use reinforcements strat on full 10 man scion squad with attached scion command squad, do you get all 15 models back?

    Can you run ursula creed and a castellan with kasrkin to stack up to 3 orders for bs2+, first rank second rank and move move move along with sustain hits 1?

      You can only attach one leader in a unit. However you can definitely issue 2 different orders from Ursula Creed attached to the Kasrkin and use the Kasrkins Warrior elite ability to have in total 3 orders in that Kasrkin unit.

    I'm so sad to see that the hotshot lasgun has slowly been reduced from the AP3 Space Marine save remover in 7thEd down to an extra bright flashlight.
    Kasrkin, Stormtroopers and to some degree Scions used to be the guard's well timed uppercut to heavy infantry armies. Now they just seem like an ever so slightly more durable vessel for special weapons.
    It's sad, Just...sad.

    I mean sure you could make a chaff-killer dakka Kasrkin but why would you want to. There's better suited units. Adding a Castellan for it would disable their Scouts move. Not taking the sniper or the mine in any circumstance seems like a misuse of them.

      ​@@rivenarchon333all the lasguns, heavy stubbers, heavy bolters that the army comes standard with. I agree with @bigfluff73 not taking the melta mine or hotshot marksman for a few more shots is whacky.

      @@dominicl5862 we're talking about one squad of infantry. And you're stacking that against the entire armies worth of weapons. Yeah, 2k points of anything are gonna have more fire power than 10 Kasrkin. Sounds like you guys are a bit stuck if you can't even give a real example.

      @@rivenarchon333 it's not that I need to provide examples mate. The core of a Guard army will have tons of lasguns (Guardsman ), many vehicles that all have access to Free heavy stubbers (chimeras), sponson bolters ( Leman Russ). Many players understand a thing about Guard: you don't need to specifically invest in anti chaff clearing because most the army already has it. No one is stopping you from taking what you want but the question stands: Does Guard need to specifically invest in units that do anti infantry clearing?? Here's an example of anti chaff for guard: 3 mortar teams in the back. 180pts. 9d6+ 36 shots into a 20man brick. 9d6 + 18 for 10man unit. But once again if you have 100 Guardsman that's your "units invested in dakka"

      @@dominicl5862 Those mortars are both more expensive and less damaging than the dakkakin loadout. They can't self order, they likely won't be shooting 20 man blobs, the opponent will have benefit of cover and your mortars are taking a penalty for indirect fire. You won't be taking any objectives with mortars either.
      The rest of your argument is that 100 guardsmen backed by heavy bolter Russ' and chimeras can out shoot 10 Kasrkin. Again, if you have to pull up the whole guard army and compare it to 10 guys...
