  • Egypt is building a new, planned city in the middle of the desert, which, if all goes according to plan, will be the country's new capital.

Be personally offended if you like, Mr. A, but while it is part of North Africa, the Middle East is a geopolitical term, and it is DEFINITELY considered part of the Middle East (along with Anatolia, etc.).
If you really want to be offended, consider that the repository of all of the University of Chicago's archeological finds in that region was called, until recently, the Oriental Institute. And there is, of course, Edward Said's famous book on the subject, 'Orientalism'.

Egypt is going through an economic crisis and rapidly devaluing currency. Maybe they should focus on that

    • @samuelmelendez4039

The reason why their economy is collapsing s due to the construction of that new city in the most of it. Taking huge debts to make an entire city is certainly damaging and devalued their currency.
