Fantastic work. You are a good instructor. +1 on the background Shader, didn't know that existed.

Great tutorial as alway, quick question though. I see you've tracked points through the windows on the outside, are you worried about the refractuon of the glass introducing inaccuracies in the points? I know those are flat pieces of glass and it won't have much effect on the overall solve but I've been taught never to track poins through glass. Now I'm questioning if I've been wrongly instructed. This is not meant to be a critique just a question to explain my dilemma.

Yeah I find many matchmove instructors terrible. (Not saying my word is the truth ha) At Track VFX we've had to break so many bad habits taught in school.
The TLDR is that I have many different approaches to glass. In this shot the Index of Refraction is extremely low. But usually I lower the weight on the glass points if there's no cg looking through it. But the environment out there was required to get a stable solve and provide more data for distortion and a stable path with smoothing the curves. Most clients don't care or notice as well if you calc both together. A lot of shots require it. Only if it's requested would be apply that kind of focus. Otherwise most windows panes aren't harmful unless the glass changes thickness or is warped. I do have more thoughts on this. But too much to type and hard to explain without a demo ha PS i wouldn't track a feature that appears behind glass then clear as the glass moves away to uncover the feature. Because the refraction difference is big enough that I wouldn't have one tracker on that feature since there is now a shift.
Sorry if that didn't make sense. It's midnight for me and this is a hard topic to explain in text ha. Also I'm not spell checking :( ha Hope it helped tho!

    Excuse me,
can you tell me , After I learned the 3dequalizer. What do I need to learn to become a layout artist?
    Thank you so much

To become a layout artist? Well mostly you need to keep practicing on making your solving / focal lengths accurately live within the same environment with multiple shots in a sequence. If you know how to solve and build out a shot in 3D you're mostly there. You just need and environment from another department that you would line up to. Or you can practice piecing up a world but multiple images and create your own set asset. Layout kinda has slightly different levels of the same task depending on who you ask I've found. But All I do is solve shots as accurately as possible. Build a set from whatever angles have access to. And make sure I don't cheat any focals or prop/setpiece positions. And If I'm provided a lidar or something I line up all cameras to their geo.
Most people don't have access to suitable footage for this type of learning. And most people seem to learn it on a job. Hope this helped! I half didn't know a good answer for weird reasons ha

haha I cringed when I saw I forgot that. Actually this video is meant to be super basic modelling and I don't think I made that clear ha So I didn't super detail anything. A few parts gross me out.
