      One day millions of people will vanish, the rapture is near! Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! And Live a Faithful Holy Life! He doesn’t want anyone to be left behind! time is short!
      Call me a crazy person if you want too, but what I’m saying is the truth and you don’t know and realize, that you need Jesus! You don’t know Him, because you don’t go to Him! He is your only Hope.
      Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, that He died for you and all of our sins, acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you need Him, repent and ask forgiveness, and believe and have faith that He is real.

    Something you forgot to mention Is Autodesk's Motionbuilder. It is the industry standard for dealing with dense motion capture data. It takes the data and solves or retargets it to the cg character and seamlessly stitches shorter sequences together into longer sequences so that the animation can be handed off to an animator who can either continue motion editing in Motionbuilder or move over to a DCC app like Maya to continue their edits. Not to mention it is used on set for seeing real-time feedback of the actors motions on their digital double. Motionbuilder is an integral tool in any pipeline that requires using motion capture data.

      Yep. Was laughing pretty hard since hardly any of the scenes shown related to what was being described. I'm not sure which companies they polled but they missed some important packages and assigned too high a value to others (Maya the only thing that is used to animate? Hardly!). They didn't even touch on the proprietary systems used at ILM and Disney. Not to mention Inferno and Flame. I think this was just a big ad for their FX elements

  • @kenzorman

    It's more about the people. Not about the magic make vfx button. Lack of skill will undermine the best tools, and a simple paint brush is an amazing tool in the hands of a skilled artist. Good decisions on set make VFX simpler ... bad decisions can create months of work for little gain..
    USD , material X, exr.... The industry is pushing towards software agnostic pipelines. Learn the CG theory, develop an artist eye . Apply these skills on the everchanging software of the moment.

    • @mylynes8153
      @mylynes8153 2 года назад

      Well until there is super advanced brain-computer interface that can extract ideas from our heads, VFX software is the closest we can get to making that kind of art.
      Like, sure, you can go onto Microsoft Paint and spend 5 hours drawing a photorealistic image by hand…but then there are still thousands of more images needed to be drawn for an animation..and good luck matching the frames up by just eyeballing it..and then suddenly you want to make a game that way?
      Every time the character chooses to turn left you’d have to draw a whole new set of images. Every customization would require a redraw of everything in the entire game where it’s in frame. Software saves time and unlocks new possibilities.
      Another good example is Houdini and it’s insane physics engine. Artists are able to create things that not even they understand. We can’t accurately simulate physics inside of our head like the PC can.

    • @kenzorman
      @kenzorman 2 года назад

      @@mylynes8153 we can simulate physics inside our head .... otherwise catching a ball would be impossible. and point of fact hand animation is often more effective and more efficient than simulation . Simulations are inherently random and unpredictable , getting simulated stuff to look good in camera takes multiple try's and is a massive time suck. For certain kinds of work a good animator can make stuff look real and is more likely to hit the mark first time

    • @kenzorman
      @kenzorman 2 года назад

      @@mylynes8153 also 'software agnostic' does not mean build vfx without software in Microsoft paint . It means you can use what ever software you like Houdini, c4d ,blender, 3dmax,maya, softimage .... it all fits into the pipeline. i.e. there is NO 'best software'

    • @kenzorman
      @kenzorman 2 года назад

      @@mylynes8153 students always fixate on software like it means something . I'm a MAYA artist , I'm a BLENDER artist etc. It's like everyone is competing to wear the best badge. and videos proclaiming such and such is the BEST software just support this mind set . Thinking like this is restrictive, and divisive . Its much better for students to think of themselves as artists first and concentrate on skills not software. no amount of 3d skills fix fix a bad design. just like amount of vfx can fix a bad story
