When I heard Jad was leaving, I felt the same emptiness I did when Robin Williams passed.. I know hes not dead or anything:P.. Just, now that Robert is retired, and Jad leaving, its the end of an era. Its been unreal, loved every single episode.. Thank you !!!
My first memory of being blown away by the show was the one called Colors. Actually I'm not sure that was the name of the show but that is how I remember it. I was amazed at the fact that, and I mean I just listened to a program about sight and I didn't need to see anything to understand. I must say I was so jazzed about the show that I tried to explain it to other people and they weren't interested. like I told them a joke and forgot the punch line. Jad you are the voice of Radio Lab and after 20 years you still have that youthful quality. Thank you so much, and I mean that.
I'm so sad to know you're done with radiolab. You helped me learn so much and I'll always feel at home when I hear your voice and I'll always cheer when you pop in.
I listened to the first half of this episode on my walk (and will finish tonight). I could listen to those two kids from Chicago all day, and I wonder what ever became of them. I'm sorry to hear that Jad is leaving - I can't imagine the podcast without him - but who doesn't want to move on at some point. Best to him.
Oh my gosh I squealed way too hard at the end knowing the answer to the clues that you're looking to work on music, (inspired by an episode of radiolab) that you are creating a 'series of very long slowly evolving musical compositions.' (**Nerdgasm**) We better be kept in the loop when you make more music because I'm working so hard not spoiling the concept in my comment right now. Thank you for being you.

Which episode did Jad announce that he is leaving? Where is he going? Who is taking over? What are WE GOING TO DO??

I'm very sad, I just discovered Radio Lab and have been listening non-stop since.
Don't worry, there will still be new and classic episodes of Radiolab coming out each week!
