Great work as always! Just curious since you shoot alot of portraits near or around water, have you ever experimented using polarizer filters to remove color casts and reflections off the surface of the water etc..

I got the R6 Mark II and LOVE it! I did comparisons and the AF is better on the R6 II. As for resolution, I upscaled my R6 II files to 45 MP using Adobe Camera Raw and overlayed over R5 files and couldn't tell the difference (zoomed in to 100% on a 5K monitor). If I use the "Enhance Super Resolution" feature on Adobe Camera Raw and then output to 45 MP using Adobe Camera Raw, the R6 II files often look sharper and more detailed than the R5 files (zoomed in to 100% on a 5K monitor). My buddy and I have 30 years of design/photo experience between us and when we layered files on top of each other in a "blind" experiment, we picked the Enhanced R6 II files over the R5 files 9 out of 10 times.
So, the resolution advantage isn't there at all. I can crop or print my R6 II files at the same sizes as R5 files (btw I was using the best Canon RF lenses).
I've had 8 MP 1DII files printed on billboards that look amazing so 24 MP is plenty for anything (and again, you can upscale when needed).
With the $2000 cdn that I saved buying the R6 II instead of the R5 I also bought a 70-200 2.8 lens!
Really the only advantage of the R5 is the 4K120 for video. However for most other things the video on the R6 Mark II is better (the 4K60 is the best you can get, much sharper than the R5). Plus no time limits on the R6 II.
Also, you don't need to buy expensive CF Express cards (plus you will need larger cards for the 45 MP files). Colour on the R6 Mark II is also improved over the original R6, though Irene has a way better eye for that. BUT, most colour problems are due to Adobe and their Camera Raw converter and not Canon. You can use Capture One, or make your own profiles for Adobe to get the best colour on any camera.

You used the same Camera and lens as me in this shoot too! I just gotta improve my editing skills. Yours are on point!
Might I suggest you do a reel of editing one photo per shoot maybe? That would bring so much value.

Irene, I've become such a big fan! I'm been binge watching your videos :) Got myself some upgraded camera gear & want to delve back into photography. After a lot of research, I decided on the Canon R6 Mark II. If possible, could you tell me what your AF settings on the camera are, since all your images come out so sharp??

That’s a great choice, Canon R6 mrk II has great autofocus, and face and eye detection, you pretty much just have to push a button 😂😂 the camera focuses for you

Hola Irene. Como costarricense apreciamos mucho que visitaras nuestro país. Creo que has logrado excelentes fotografías. Aquí en Costa Rica hay miles de locaciones grandiosas. Ojalá puedas visitar sitios de montaña como aquí en Tarrazú, donde tenemos el mejor café del mundo, cultivo de manzanas, granadilla, aguacate, entre muchos otros.
