“swift level embarrassment” riiiiiiight 😅😂
Trucking has reached a new low, anyone with a heart beat and can pass a piss test is given a new truck and released on to the road with no experience.
Hair folacle at most places now. 90 days and observed.
Well that’s not really accurate.
Any company that runs legally either has experience requirements, or, has a training program for new drivers.
Not to mention that since 2022 federal law requires that any applicant for a CDL must first pass an accredited Entry Level Driver Training program. Prior to this law, you could just go take the test. Now you must go through an accredited school first.
However, none of those things stop shady (typically foreign owned) companies from just hiring guys with no CDL and letting them do whatever.
You’d be shocked at the number of trucks that get put out of service everyday across the country because the driver doesn’t have a damn CDL.
There’s dudes who will go buy a cheap, clapped out old truck, put expired plates on it, then go haul cheap ass freight somewhere to make a quick buck. No insurance, no MC authority, no CDL. What’s worse is some of these even shadier brokers don’t even care. They won’t vet the guys that book their loads because they’re willing to run it so damn cheap.
Unfortunately, it’s only leading to stricter regulations and restrictions that only hurt the people who try to follow the law.
I was in the winter storm in Indiana today, and a couple boneheads started passing everyone on the shoulder where the snow was deepest, and a daycab went on the shoulder around the snow plows. Some people have a death wish I swear

MT flatbed is getting a dry weight. Then they know how much to put on his deck. This is often used for lumber and steel loads. They will load you to the gills. Fill up your tanks first!

What was the car carrier driver thinking going around the railroad crossing gates when they're down? Shame on the mess.
I always enjoy seeing Bernie masked and mittened, never gets old.
Arrest that last driver in the Swift truck. He must have stolen it, no way a real Swift driver would get it in without a hit.
We had a Home Depot Receiver that was disabled for life, because the driver pulled away from the Dock, as the Receiver was was entering the Trailer. The same thing happened to the the lift truck, but the Receiver hit his head on the Dock Plate, causing a T.B.I ( Traumatic Brain Injury ) which is the reason why I am disabled for life, along with my Spine Injury. This is why the following procedures were put in place.
1. Driver checks in. After they are assigned a door, they are instructed to chock the drive wheels.
2. If the driver wants to wait in their cab, they must completely unhook.
3. If the Driver waits inside the Dock area, they are alarmed inside.
4. The Rollup Door must be secured before the Bill Of Lading is returned to the Driver.
5. The B.O.L including the Key Rec. Number, is returned to the Driver at the time of release.
Then the door alarm is turned off, and the Driver is released.
That car looked like a lot of fun.

I was at the Loves in Ocala FL and a Prime driver wolk me up and actually asked me to move over so he could back in.
He had 6ft on his right side, and the left side was about to take out my cow catcher and mirror. I was perfectly squared into my spot. Axles moved up and tires to the curb! I couldn't believe it.
Fed Wrecks trailer was sitting like that because the impact shoved it forward and the Dolly spun.

Rules need to change for CDL drivers besides passing the driviving test. They also need a common sense test and this is not even a joke.
Some times you need an empty weigh before you can load. This way they can max you out

The flatbed was probably weighing to get the tare weight, so they know the weight of the load.
Been to plenty of shippers who want an empty scale ticket so they can accurately know how many pallets they can put on. And I'd always get paid the out of route miles so it's just some easy money

Dude I messed up big time!!! I work for swift just starting out and I absolutely KILLED a 90 degree back into a dock… I think I might lose my job… a female swift driver comes along much later and someone had to get in the truck and back it in for her… how people get their CDLs I HAVE NO IDEA. Doing a 34 hour reset right now and a female US XPRESS driver couldn’t do a easy straight back into a spot….. must of been because they were just bought out by SWIFT lol

Many times, a tare weight ticket is REQUIRED by the consignor to pick up a flatbed load.
I think I have the best back up game💪🏻😄! I backed up in a no trucking zone customer. Weight limit street signs that said trucks no more than 1.5 Tons and it was a really tight spot and did it in 2 minutes! Another driver took about 20 minutes 🙄! But it’s a area that is for box trucks only and do not know why they send truck driver in that area, it’s a appliance company located in Norfolk VA.

the clip with lift on the parking lot you say 100% the drivers fault in my own opinion the company should have dock locks or even wheel chocks I loaded trucks for a couple of years and that was always a fear of mine
There is a warehouse in Billings MT that has several pictures of a truck dumping a forklift. Just below it is a huge sign that explains WHY they want the driver of what could happen
The biggest bonehead trucker is the trucker who hits another trucker at the Pilot truck stop in White Pine, Tennessee right off Interstate 81 and other drivers was telling him that he hits another driver but he walked out of the store really fast and took off but police still hadn't find that trucker so far.
First thing I seen after the fork lift nose dive was no way to lock that trailer to the building, that is so wrong. I bet they all got installed after that fork lift driver had to ride it all the way to the ground. His/her teeth must have looked like an unfinished Lego project after that ride.
I've been to some customers who tell you to disconnect from the trailer before they load or unload and some other customers will have you remove the red airline and then they'll put the lock on. More customers need to do either of these two things.
Trans Am driver has no business being a truck driver.
Set up. That is numero uno! If you mess up the set up, welll, the whole backing maneuver will be harder.
I try to avoid stopping in Hammond because of the roundabouts. I cannot tell you how many close calls I winessed
They do have other means like wheel chok and they sell wheel clamps but even a simple light that can be changed from red to green can be mounted on the buiding@@andycurran3327

I drove for Swift for a few months I was between jobs and I had to get money coming back into the house. I never hit a darn thing if you don't count hitting the curb behind parking spots
The circumference of a typical truck tire is 12’.
Meaning, if you mark the tire and ground, roll forward until the mark hits the ground again, the truck will have traveled 12’.
So, if you are backing and realize something is not quite right, pull forward 12’ and you should be able to correct your minor error.
Anything more than 12’ and you are going to put yourself back into an entirely new situation, whereas the 12’ adjustment corrected your minor error. And you’ll see this mistake tome and again, with drivers who while backing, will then pull forward 20-30’, totally changing what they just spent :15 minutes working up to.
Shame on the gosh darn chicken plucking mess!!!

That must be the first Swift driver in history to back into a spot without hitting anything. First one I've seen on this channel that didn't hit something trying to park.
Im paying close attention to details on this. Lot of people overlook the clip time 7:30 when his trailer almost hit the corner of the freightliner. He noticed it and stop just in time pull up and correct the problem. And nail it. That goes to show the fact that not all Swift drivers are bonehead. He did excellent job on that one and deserves around of applause.👏🏼👏🏼
