Running the lights because the red light cameras aren't up to hold people accountable.
To the guy filming Super Egregious coming over from the soon to be closed lane on the right, just let him over. We all know Super Ego drivers aren’t all that great and yes they have a horrible reputation, but if you would’ve just let him over, you would’ve still had your passenger side mirror and you would not have had a whole bunch of paperwork to do and phone calls to make. Was it worth it? I read this somewhere a few years ago: “right, wrong, or indifferent, it STILL takes time out of YOUR day.”
If you had to go in the bunk to sleep behind an Amazon Prime contract driver, or a Super Ego…. Which would you choose ? 🤣

Never give up the right of way to someone who's required to yield.
Too many truck drivers today have no courteous what so ever built into them. Letting someone over is not hard to do, just back out of it a little. Really, it will not affect your scheduled on time appointment. It's o.k. to do it. I do it all the time. Not a big deal. By backing out of it & allowing someone else in front of you does not take time out of your day. It saves you hundreds of hours annually by not having to spend time in court fighting aggressive driving tickets, helps to keep your CSA Points down, & prevents knots on your head from accidents., or other aggressive drivers.
Sometimes watching these I hear "Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this truck around it's the easiest way that I found...."

My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in US. The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance

Traffic pile ups rarely occurred when truckers were communicating on their CB radio.

I had a ca radio up until 15 years ago . Stupid shit on the radio constantly just made me hate it

if you have a Couple of 2x4.. Put em on the frame, use the Trucks Air to slowly Lift trailer and make that Crank of shame that much easier. Especially for all you newbies 🤣🤣
I was just about to suggest the same thing. Let your truck do the lifting and way easier to crank the legs.
but... that requires use of brain, which boneheads don't have any.
Only once in my driving career did I drop a trailer and thankfully it happened as I was pulling out of the spot where I hooked to it, and not out on the road. It was like a perfect storm of trailer drop height vs 5th wheel height which allowed the kingpin to level out the 5th wheel and go over the front, I heard a sound similar to the jaws locking on the 5th wheel but it was actually the 5th wheel going back to the original position it's in when it's not hooked to a trailer. When I did the tug test it seemed as if everything was fine. Jaws locked and ready to go. after pulling out and turning is when the trailer slid off and I had to do the crank of shame. After that one time my lesson was learned, I would go under the trailer with my flashlight and visibly check that the locking jaws were locked around the kingpin. Never dropped another trailer after that, I had probably been driving around 2 years at the time. 24 years later I retired from driving OTR with no more incidents.
It happens on older trucks the fifth wheels can fail, had mine rebuilt after 1 million miles
Actually I had everything happen that you don't want to with Fontaine 5th wheels. Been an owner operator for 20 years but 6 before as a company driver. When companies go cheap, you get crap.

On 12/27/2023, I saw a Wiener Wagon. On the bottom of the driver's door there is a sticker that says the following, all in capital letters: PRE-TRIP REQUIRED! Not everyone does this, evidently!

As a x trucker I often make a gap for the bigger Heavy trucks, a flick on lights alerts them , so they know they are good to pull out ahead of Me..

At our Walmart DC's the shop has special jacks that will lift a trailer that has come off a truck so they can lower the legs back down.
The amount of a-holes recording without helping is astounding.
I guess there’s just no “notoriety” in helping. So sad. If the guy filming would’ve just walked over to the driver and said “hey, you’re about to hit some large rocks over there on your right” that mess could have been avoided.
If most of these drivers today would get proper training, they wouldn't need help... it's not our job to train them, because most of them need training, not help

Cdl schools aren't training you to drive. Just to pass the test
Any time I see a truck with a signal on trying to change lanes, I slow down and give them room, give a fast flash on the lights to let them know it's ok to move over. They carry huge loads and long trailers, we 4 wheelers should all be on the lookout for them to help them, give them room and don't hog the lane.

I think you were a little hard on the truck that pulled out from the left. Looks like it was on a curve so he may not have been able to see when he pulled out. The filming vehicle had plenty of time to slow down.

It takes about 2.2 seconds to make sure you're hooked; locking jaw around the kingpin, whenever you're away from the truck for more than 5 minutes. Yes! Some people are that F'd up & may pull your handle for whatever reason

99 percent of those are not high hitched but pulled by some juvenile.
If it's not below freezing you can pull your red button and then pull the tractor forward a bit and put some tension on the jaws before pulling the yellow button. Superman ain't pulling that pin. I don't put the park brake on the trailer if it's cold out tho

GD every time you stop you do a pin check before you pull out. At a truck stop where you have left your vehicle unattended you do a full circle check PERIOD! you can't trust any MFer anymore these days. Someone has it in for your company or you or just hates on truck drivers ( looking at you 4 wheelers) . It's a cold war zone out there sad to say.
Put down your cell phone and get a CB we gotta help each other out here an the old school CB is the best way to do it. Plus it can be a lot of fun and a good (better) way to stay awake on the long hauls.
Plus a CB will alert you when a chicken koop is open so you can "avoid" them. If you need to... just saying 😊.
4 wheelers ain't pulling pins! I'm surprised truckers aren't puncturing steering tires when pissed off.
Also, keep trailer brakes set, release tractor brake, then back up.

At walmart if you accidentally drop a trailer a yard dog can come on over and pick them up. I've seen a swift drop one and thats what they did.

The drivers who ran the red lights & pulled out in front of other traffic, imagine driving a cabover & you get into a crash with a bonehead semi driver who does things like those. It'd be a nasty site. Of course cabovers are rare here in the USA nowadays because the length & weight limits increased which eliminated the need for them. Safety is #1 which was what cabovers lacked in & thaz another reason why you don't see as many on the roads today as you use to back in the 1980s & down.
Even in a conventional you t bone the side of a loaded trailer you probably gonna die
