Sailed in a storm on Lake Bala almost 40 years ago; also a Laser - I was the only dinghy out apart from a wayfarer with 4 up and storm sails, but the lake was buzzing with sailboards - all I could do was reach - epic day! Downwind on waves, wow, you need to be super quick and fit!! All I have is a grainy picture; these pictures are fabulous.

This is extremely tough sailing, gybing is dangerous, you need more vang than usual but that puts the boom in a bad spot. Nothing easy about this sailing. Runs are exhilarating, until the death roll.
