@@elmanortega with the combination of the Dimsport Rapid Bike Evo ECU tuning module and along with the slip on muffler, I feel like from my but dyno it has a lot more power and it loves to wheelie. I am going to put it on the dyno from my local shop when he gets caught up on his other work to see what is the gain horsepower and torque and upload the results here on my channel
Yeah Honda is not going to ever give us the bikes we actually want and need....the Africa Twin is a great bike....a little larger than most are going to want....but this transalp could have been so much more.....but the price would have been thru the roof if they had given us a KTM level bike.
Hi,I just came back from first service on 1000 km.Oil change ,filter and hour of work.160 € I complained about strange vibrations on handles and front section when accelerating. It can shake like crazu and most of time is vibrating a lot.Nothing smudge in Honda style. Is it normal in your case.My is Transalp XL 750 2024 ,white with golden rims.No qou k shifter. Seller was trying to make me believe it is normal.
the best cruise control I ever had was on my 2004 bmw k1200gt from the factory. the cruise control on my 2021 africa twin adventure sports is awful.....it's on the wrong side of the handle bars for starters lol
As far as servicing the filter your right but the performance gain that can be had the Transalp is way better but I do wish it had the design air filter servicing like Aprilia Tuareg 660 that is also up in the front to get fresh clean air but the Tuareg takes only about 5 minutes to replace the air filter.
@cliftonsr What performance advantage does the Talp have over the 800DE? Other than top end power, which is NOT a characteristic an adventure bike needs. Torque is king for adv riding, top end is for sport bikes. Honda has much better options than the Talp. A RUclipsr did multiple roll on races with the two, and the DE ran away from the Talp. As I said torque is king. It would take me too long to list the off road advantages the DE has.
@@jonwoodworker true to some degree because the 800DE is geared lower, and also the 800DE vibrates more at highway speeds. But comparing the Transalp 750 Euro version with the 800DE, the Transalp smokes the 800DE in the power range when ran side by side in an all out race. And that is one of the reasons I’ve been working at putting the mods on the Transalp to get the Euro version type power to the US Transalp 750. Nothing is wrong with the 800DE by any means and I could buy one, it’s just that Transalp is a better touring bike that is also amazing off road where as the 800DE is better at off road than the Transalp
did the mods to the air filter worked? can you talk about it?

@cliftonsr I would really like to know more about the air mods and airflow. I'll stay tuned.
Air box design makes no sense for an adventure bike and the one thing holding me back from picking up this bike.

Yer the xr650r was great if only they kept making them till now man it would be the best thing around no doubt
Do you have a link for the cruise control please ?

You want MORE switches on the left side. LOL 🤣
Where did you get those air deflectors?
Ebay
So the MCcriuse cost close to $700 versus the Kaoko’s $140 bucks.
That’s too rich for me unfortunately.
Suzuki V-Strom 800de airfilter is way better than this thing
