They definitely are into the pretty blue lights! The room is actually not bad as it has high ceilings and is open in the back to the kitchen and open to one of the side walls, plus the furniture.
The JL is 25k and considered to be one the all time best, I have a hard time believing it. I’d be surprised if it can even compete with JL in terms of sq.
For 50k get the Bowers 800s plus external Subs and you can surpass the soundstage. Separates is almost always better because you can optimize the bass in the best location.
The question : why... why spend 60k on a single sub wich dont realy solve any problems. Every well setup Bass Array 2 in the front, 2 in the back, more or similiar (incl DSP Correction & Setup) with solid drivers (Seas, Scan Speak or similar) play (correctly setup via dsp of course) probably in the same league or even better and you spend max ~1/6 of the price... I dont understand this market. Probably its about the looks and brands why people buy stuff like this. Because i cant understand why people dont research and look how you can control the bass response in the room and what solutions are available
@@Mabeylater293 car subs are not known for fidelity. It’s not about raw output. Obviously you could still get great subs stacked together with better output than this for less. That's a good point. I feel like this product is meant for enthusiasts. But I also feel that many people would prefer performance over luxury, if that makes sense.
@@prabhjeetdhugga1392 @lowridr2 this is the same idiot that spends $100,000 on two speaker cables. I would really love to see the breakdown of how much each component costs in the box. Does each sub cost $10,000 and the amp and box another $10,000?

Male jewelry, the room isn't even designed for good sound and as others have pointed out you need multiple subwoofers to create even bass without room modes pumping up certain frequencies. Audiophoolery as a hobby really is a combo of OCD and showing off disposable income, nothing to do with the pursuit of fidelity which can be achieved at a very reasonable cost if you know how to read a spec sheet and have a good listening environment.
Agree, I have been doing this for over 30 years and some clients really care about doing everything just right and perfect and others just like it loud and want to have fun. My goal is to make my clients happy at the end of the day and which ever route they would like to go down I am their guide.

Matt, that is so cool for the client and the store! That looks so cool with all that other McIntosh gear. Awesome setup ..... Your Friends at Bjorn's
Thank you Bjorn's! You guys are great and a great resource for McIntosh products in San Antonio!
Wow what a monster. Thanks for the video.
It definitely was!
It is a monster! Thanks for watching and the response!
I didn't realise it's that massive!! Wow!!
geesh , my original 1985 polk SDAs went down to 18 Hz and was lighting fast and only cost a grand at a half price sale .
Is there a video of his whole setup i would like to the the rest of the system
Working to see if we can get that set up.
I'm getting mine pretty pretty soon
That thing is massive...
We had to remove a door to get it in the house!! You are correct, it IS massive! Thanks for the response.
Nice setup if your inro to pretty blue lights. The client needs some room treatments. i bet there is a lot of echo

I wonder how this competes with the JL it replaced.
For 60000 euro it better be 60000 times better

@@OGNewb The cabinet is bigger and it has double the drivers. Im sure it crushes the JL
@@markpommett5712 double the drivers with the less amplification power? Sure it might be a little louder, but that has little to do with SQ.

Why did they only get one and not two?! Seriously. Anyone that's gone from one to two would never go single again.
Right now they still have the JL Audio Gotham as well, I am sure it will be replaced with another McIntosh in the future.
Moving crew for that beast 😮
Yes we hired a moving company to deliver it to the clients home.
Why does it say 120v 6A at the back wouldn't that just be 720watts ?
Looks like a monster though 👍👍
All the power comes from internal power supply systems
Thanks for the response, with these digital amp now days they can get so much more power with less.
power surges come from capacitors, but a high volume that's just gonna last a couple seconds

I definitely understand what you are saying, McIntosh has very dedicated owners.
Looks and brand. Money no object I can see people getting 4 of these as they look bonkers
If you have to ask you can't afford it haha
I know car subs that will destroy these things at a mere fraction of the price.
