Please excuse the random audio blips, after about 4 attempts at recording id given up on it and assumed it was simply a result of filming in a smaller room. As it turned out that my mic had directional audio enabled, I promise ill get this sorted for next time.
For the audio blips, look to see if you've got any audio ducking (it could be something else but this is the most common issue) set up in post and check if its a bit aggressive . If your mic has some kind of built in ducking then id try to tinker with that aswell. If all of this sounds like alien language , dont worry I can post some links to you on how to do some really solid audio capture for both indoors and outdoors. Keep up the good work!
It's because you are who you are, and sometimes it's nice to see the seed growing before you get to see the finished flower. I'm all for people like yourself, who give it a go and follow your ambition with action. I'm sure your vlogging skills will improve over time, certainly enjoyed this post.
Was sent by the beard! Went to Iceland for the first time December 2023. It was so beautiful. I really hope you’re enjoying (or enjoyed) the trip! Absolutely beautiful place.
Hey Rachel. I'm here from Adam's community as well. Thanks so much for telling us all about Iceland. I've heard how beautiful it is, but it was lovely to hear from someone who's experienced it firsthand. I'm from the U.S. and have otherwise only ever been to England. Congrats on all the support you've been getting. I can't wait to see more of your travel journeys. 😊
Beard crew 💪 Great to see a new video from you! I think we've all been waiting for it 😂 Would have loved to see the view from the top of the cathedral spire! And the food! Tell us about the food! That's the important bit 😂❤❤
Don't be afraid to expand into the myriad of topics that attract large amounts of subs and viewers. I'd be interested in seeing Icelands Gardens and Market Places, perhaps Historic Museum walks, fishing from shore or boats, scenic camping and so forth. Good luck in the future, this was a very good start to spreading your wings and flying in new directions, the sky is your limit.
Looking forward to watching your youtube journey grow. Practice your vlogging when out and about whenever possible, you'll become more confident and comfortable with it over time the more you do it. Once you are happy with it then you can start to intergrate it within your videos. You got this!!
Hey MountainGal! I'm happy to see this channel is not dead. I was looking forward for your first Video after the big bang. You really don't need to feel insecure. You are doing an amazing job and I feel the need to go visit Iceland after watching this Video. But if you feel weird beeing watched... you could make a voiceover and narrate without switching between the travelmaterial and your home. This way we are not thrown back and forth every couple of seconds.
At first i subscribed because of my loyalty to Adam but i love the landscapes and architecture you have been showcasing!! I watched both commercials all the way through no skipping lol
Thanks for sharing your trip to Island. The beautiful and picturesque footage of your vlog reaffirmed my desire to go there myself. I also liked your calm narrative and how you made the most out of the trip, even when things didn't work out as planned. I am looking forward to the next video at an appropriate time. Don't feel pressured to pump out more content just for the sake of it. Be yourself and share only as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Whoop whoop. Super stoked to see a new post. Really excited for your jump in subscription post beard and to see where you take it. All the best from Canada.
Great first video. And since you asked for some tips, here are some of mine: - try and make the background a bit more interesting in the shots when you're filming yourself. Maybe a bookshelf with some souvenirs, a poster, something like that - I would really invest in a drone. A dji mini with additional batteries is under a 1000 euros, is easy to operate and provides great overviews. - might be interesting to incorporate more audio from when you're filming, but make sure you have a good microphone that can filter out any wind noise - the 'training arc' of the story kind of came out of nowhere. Make sure not to forget that most people watching have no idea who you are, so little repeats of who you are and what you do will help. Can be accomplished in a couple of sentences I think. - I know this newfound audience might be quite strange for you, but don't apologize for what you're making (I'm referring to the "not the most bubbly..." remark 😉). We all understand that you're figuring it all out as well and we won't expect the same masterpieces as we get from beardmeatsfood 😅. It'll come! - try thinking of a catch phrase or standardized way to start or end videos. As most of us know from Adam, this really works. Maybe try ChatGPT if you're lacking inspiration. Good luck, and keep them coming 🎉
Hi Rachel I have to say that was very interesting I learned things from you that I haven't seen on any other channel. I have always wanted to go to Iceland and you have made me want to more. Can't wait for more content from you no matter the subject. Keep up the good work 👍.
Such a gorgeous country. Steeped in history and mystery. Always wanted to go there, and even live there, alas ... not now, in this lifetime. But once I pass this mortal coil, and travel to Valhal, then I can be there.
@@thatmountaingal Do it! Or at least, keep it as a goal or a plan. It's important to have plans. The language is difficult, but you're young enough to learn it. Iceland is pretty much the last remaining entirely free and fair country in the West. They have high standards of living with very fair living wages, great social stability, great people - AMAZING scenery! They even ousted the bankers who tried their shenanigans back in the early 2000's. Lovely place!
Hello from San Francisco. I found you on Adam's channel (like most everyone it seems). I noticed he said he was #16 on your subscriber list and now you sit at 35K (and growing fast) Wow and Wtgo. The power of the Beard Meets Food Army - Awesome! Now as a professional RUclips watcher :o) I would like to make a few comments young lady -- 1rst off: The advice Adam gave you about sticking with it and basically being yourself no matter what in the beginning, is solid and very good advice... 2ndly: I Love your channel and your personality. I like how you give us details about what we are looking at and even just details about the day you are having. Makes it feel more real and really endearing... 3rd and finally: You definitely have a knack for this. Keep smiling and bring that honest attitude every time. I'll keep watching.
Hi Rachael! 🙂I am overjoyed to see another video from you. You did a great job on it. The food at the diner looked so good and the cabin you all shared was really nice! TY for sharing all this. It is fun to see all the different places on video vs just a picture in a book. 😉 The little whales are so cute. God bless you, I pray you make it to 50K and then 100K. I am so very happy for you! ~John
The ferry journey would have kicked my behind in no time at all. The landscapes and wildlife are so beautiful I'd lose my lunch again and again just to get to Vestmannaeyjar. How many people can honestly say they've stood on the North American and European continents at the same time? I can't...yet. Very cool vlog.
I never realized how beautiful Iceland was thanks for sharing Rachel. Keep up the good work I’ve been enjoying your channel so far much love from America.
A man with a beard sent me here. Really great video, very informative and definitely a great, candid snapshot of Iceland. Definitely going to tick it off my list soon!
Feedback (since you asked)... I really enjoyed the video and I would encourage you to just continue to be yourself. The part of the video that stood out to me that I really connected with was your section at the end about training and working out on vacation. I thought it was great and something that I've run into myself sometimes when traveling. That isn't to say the rest of the video wasn't great or genuine or enjoyable, but I'm just trying to say that if you stick to talking about what you do and enjoy, you will connect to all different people in all different ways that you might not expect. Keep up the great work!
Do what you feel is the right and comfortable way to go about creating your videos. You'll always be growing and evolving but always be true to your voice, yourself and always be kind. I'm happy you met Beard, otherwise I may never had find your channel. I like your content so far. Keep up the good work and congratulations again!
In November i am going back to Iceland for the 5th time, i love the whole country. That blue water is that colour due to it coming straight off the glacier and it is very drinkable too. You will probably find yourself being pulled back i can guarantee. Once is never enough.
Yet another "beard watcher" landing! 😊 I was intriged to visit your channel for some impressions of the "Ice land" which has a kind of "rough beauty". ❤ The one thing I would really miss would be trees!
I hope you feel as lucky as you are for randomly running into Beard vs Food. At this point you obligated to feed him (as a challenge) a meal fit for a family of 10 😂
Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed being taken along on an adventure to all the wonderful sites. I'm a new subscriber living in Minnesota. USA. I enjoy the great outdoors. Except for the storm right now.... .
