Great vlog Jenny ❤ Glad you enjoyed your first visit to Iceland 🇮🇸 I’ve been lucky to visit this amazing country 7 times. It’s very unique and I’ve come across no other country that has such diverse landscapes and scenarios in such a small place. I’ve visited in 7 different months (Jan, Feb, March, May, July, October & November) All are amazing, but my favourite months were May, July and October mainly due to the extra daylight hours you get. In October I was able to see the Northern lights also. I have so many favourite destinations but if to choose just one it would be the Westfjords which includes Dynjandi Waterfall. Wild, sparse of people and amazing scenery. However you can’t go wrong wherever you visit in Iceland.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is wonderful to walk behind, but nearby Gljufrabui is absolutely magical. If you can navigate on the steppingstones in the stream into the cave, the atmosphere is like none other. The local people believed that elves lived there, and you can see why. And Gullfoss waterfall is like none you've ever seen. It disappears into a steep canyon.
Yes, I tired getting into the falls along the stepping stones. The water was so high that day from all the rain. I can't wait to go back, maybe see some elves 😉
I am going with my kids 12 and 19. In November 21. Any suggestion what to do at night? Why sometimes you don’t have your coat? Are we going to be able to take our coats off sometimes outside? How is the cold there? Sorry one more question: Do you think I can buy some clothes at Second hand stores there for a good price? Love love your video.
Thank you for your questions. At night I would check the aurora lights. Check sites to see if they are strong and if there will be no clouds. There weather was not that bad, but we are also Canadian and use to the cool Temps. Yes, you can take your coat off if nice enough. I will warn you, some areas are very windy. There are a few second hand stores there, the prices are not as steep for wool clothing but be warned they may not be the real stuff. I got mine at the airport and the price was decent. There are so many stores for you to check out. If you have a couple days I would go to a bunch to get the lowest price. Your kids and you are going to love it. Truly a beautiful place. If you have any more questions, please reach out, I'm happy to answer.
@@wanderingwithjenny671 I am sorry more questions(probably until my trip I will have more😁) Shoukd I bring for me and the kids just snow pants? Or any other kind of pants? Do you mind sharing the gloves brand or link with me please? I bought a snow gloves that we can use our phones but they are so big to wear all the time. Do I need water case for our phones? Do we need ear plugs when we are on the waterfalls? Did you have a pack back with you all the time to carry your clothes? I feel it is a lot of hassle taking all the clothes out and putting back after the pools. Do you mind explaining it for me? So so sorry! I am solo with my two kids I want to make sure I got this!
@adrianatavares454 No worries, i don't mind answering. Yes, bring snow pants, and make sure they are waterproof. The gloves that I took are no longer available but you could try something like these a.co/d/f387q7E.a.co/d/f387q7E At the waterfalls your phone will get wet, most are water resistant such as mine and I didn't use one. No ear plugs needed. We would wear thermals under our snow gear and take it off before we got in the car. The only pools we did was the blue lagoon and they have lockers. And do not apologize, you want to make sure you have everything good. Please don't hesitate to ask more if you have any. 💚
Being in the world of aviation I have had many stop overs in Iceland, at all times of the year. Yes it's a great place to visit. I didn't check on Hotel prices simply I wasn't paying.
Are ice crampons a must ? We're going this November and only have hand luggage, not sure they'll allow us to pass with these at the airport and I guess in Iceland they're way more expensive.
Thank you so much for this video! This is perfect because we're thinking about going in either October or November!
You are going to love it! If you have any questions, please let me know.
I'm planning to spend a month in Iceland, hopefully sailing there in the summer of '24. Thanks for the tips! Also, love the sweater!

Any time of the year is good. Just be aware that Iceland is one of the most expensive places in the world.
The food is expensive but the hotels and tours were your average price. It is definitely an amazing place and a bucket list experience.

definitely saving this video for my trip next year! thank you
Awe, thank you. If you have any questions, please ask. You will have a great time, it's a beautiful place.
How many hours of day light did you have please ❤
About 6 a day.
What kind of car did you rent, would 2 wheel drive be okay for the roads in winter or is 4 wheel drive necessary?
You will absolutely need 4x4. Also, don't be alarmed as all the tires have studs, and it feels a little strange at first.
We got a suv from Thrifty near the airport, and they were amazing. Also I suggest getting wifi in the car. And don't forget the full insurance. 😉

If you are planning to do the ice cave they provide them on a tour. We didn't use them on the streets but we had rain during our time.
@@wanderingwithjenny671 not planning to do that just general attractions on the ring road
@@gabitsu-ftw3871 the waterfalls do get icy. I do believe you can rent them in iceland. I would look into that.
is this early or late november?
This is late November.
