Just to correct you in one tiny bit. Umbra doesn't hate the Empire, he hates Ballas specifically.
true
We don't know that. Rhino Prime seems to be pretty salty, but why, we don't know (given that Ballas claimed that the frames are all based on actual people, my bet is that he was a cannibal or a glutton).
Inaros is the only one lore wise that seems to show actual hate towards the Empire.
EDIT: Other than Excal Umbra.
I don't think the other Orokin were necessarily evil, until the last days of the Old War when they were forced to do anything for victory. We need the Red Veil and New Loka to reform it into the high-tech utopia it used to be. Also hopefully find a way to place unifnested people into Warframes.
Takezo Kimura I believe he found a way to actually put on a custom made Warframe on himself without need for infestation. But that's only my crazy speculation
FackMyBrain yeah, like suits
Lotus at the end of the quest says "Mother I am coming home".
*SPACE MOM WENT BACK TO HER MOM.............. A. K. A GALAXY MOM.*
Hafiz Mohammed space grandma
because either her mother dead or shes going to become sentient queen
Or shes going back to tau system to her mother.
get ready for the TAU system
ahh , lore videos , my kind of drug.
Same
The last part that you finally transference into Umbra always gives me chills and awww I just wanna hug Umbra and never let go😭
I really hope they make and relese the Tau system and continue the story there
first the next open world :D but yes, thats gonna happend 4 sure¡
Venus is next, down the line we'll most likely get the Tau system. Tennocon awaits, we must prevail until then.
Carter Gourley oh God I hope not
Excalibur Umbra it's not so bad. I personally can do the rest I have in like an hour
They most probably will at some point. Not until this time next year though. For now DE wants to focus on developing and releasing their new open world Venus environment and the lore that will come with it.
Next time stalker shows... it will be shadow vs shadow + kid... take that stalker
Just to confirm. The Prime warframes were the original frames made by the Orokin. The regular versions are the ones which the Tenno reverse engineered. But how does Umbra fit in here? And why was he modeled after Excalibur? Didn't Ballas create Excalibur Prime first? Why would he create another warframe with the same design? This scratches my head to this day. Any hints and ideas would be appreciated.
Warframes used to be actual people that got altered by the virus umbra the first and only original warframe meaning that all other frames were modeled after umbra another thing umbra also still retained some of his feelings or emotions was it cant remember it may sound like its contradicting since its complicated but basically umbra doesn't need a tenno to operate. Long story short every other frame was modeled after umbra, as well as a correction excalibur was the one who was modeled after umbra not the other way around
Another quick edit if im not wrong correct me if i am but i bellieve that it was the tenno who reverse engineered excalibur
I just wish that umbras will have a skill tree for their abilities like the focus system but better
Alexander Cane That'd be a little much for a warframe. Excal Umbra already gets Insane prime mods, I think a focus system dedicated to him and other umbra frames would be a little crazy.
CFE Jackipanda a system similar or better than focus because as is its only use is utility I’m talking more like an upgrade tree for umbras
Alexander Cane Umbra already is a significant upgrade. Any further exclusive improvements would be unfair, and probably be overpowered.
I haven't finished the vid yet, but I have a question. If we build warframes, who do we use to make them. I mean if they are infected soldiers, then how come we can just craft them like some tools when they are living things. We don't see any bodies just tied up and inject the virus or something. I mean it explains spectres in the sense that we know how they go around without the operator, but even then we dont see a victim. Also, there are multiple operators with the same kind of Warframes. Aren't they supposed to be individuals? Each unique and different. Each kind of Warframe is different, but if there are multiple of one type it is just confusing
helmint make the warframes but he dont use dax of course he use the things we farm :P (in the second dream our warframe brake WAR itself so they have a silver of life inside but not as much as the Original warframes i think :D )
When Warframes were made, The first perfected ones were the Primes. Primes were first, then all the ones the Tenno build are basically clones. They analyze the substances (crafting materials) and replicate then in the foundry. So basically from what I get from this, the tenno doesn't need to start the whole process of infecting someone to make a warframe, they just make knockoffs/clones
I'm not even sure we're creating the same Warframes the Orokin did when the empire existed. From my understanding about the prime objects we have, we're actually creating replicas of Warframes and other prime items. That may explain why Zaw weapons are stronger than some prime weapons: steel made by a blacksmith beats machine-printed steel, I guess.
My main concern is how the Operator can create a ship inside of a ship - or even how large our inventory is physically speaking
I think it boils down to having more than one way of building something , they Orkin were making infected soldiers to fight the Tenno just need a surrogate body. So they may not be the same hence Umbra was a mistake so maybe Warframes aren't built that way anymore since those warframes did turn on the Orkin.
So maybe the other Warframes are different? or the Tenno substitute things since they really don't need or want to go through the whole infecting process to get a self operating Warframe.
ShinTechG oh ok. Thx
I still wonder why Equinox doesn't have any lore or at least even a hint of it 😐
make yourself the lore :P its fun. 2 Dax married. 1 of em gonna die so they try to Save him/she and the other dont want to be alone so wanna become a warframe too and they do it together and they become equinox :v
Equi is more like a snail :v
no it is actually confirmed by the devs that Equinox is in all three forms a female. Or...well... as feminine as a Warframe can be
Day form is just more masculine female. Or that is what DE has said. But Equinox should have some kinda lore due it's so unique ability to change a form.
Hmmm what if after Margulis was executed, Ballas took her body and formed into the sentient we have seen in the ending of sacrifice. We already know that Lotus was indeed a Sentient (somewhat mentioned in Second Dream) made to destroy the Warframes but she've realized that killing them was wrong and it was Margulis' influence that drove her to stop it and to atone for what she have done in killing the warfrmaes, she become the lotus and guide the tenno and warframes. (im not sure but thats how I see the lore in this game).
The sacrifice was a very good quest showing us how we can tackle situation if we are calm
Wait that mean warframe can moved by themselves in the past without tenno
You can see in the Quest
Yes. They did until they were wiped of their will and fitted with transference bolts. All except Excalibur Umbra. That dude was tortured and his will wasn't wiped completely. He was made to forecer relive his memory of being forced to kill his own son, by Ballas himself. That's also why his transference bolt is unique.
I am still.puzzled, what is the difference between prime and umbra? Are they both made in the same way?
Could it be possible that warframes are infested dax soldiers?and the tenno's are the ones who makes them calm and take their pain away
Man in the wall had new interactions too :O he said “how do you feel kid?” Operator answered “Isaah, I killed isaah” then he said “good, remember that.” Smile and disappear. I think somewhere down the line they’ll have to tell us what does all this really mean?
That's cause operator was reliving Dax's memory. Your operator didn't kill Issah, but the memory is so powerful he thinks he killed issah
Another great and professional video. You deserve way more subs 👍🏽🙌🏽
Ballas remind me of a boss in "asura's wrath game" final boss name is "chakravardin"
We might fight ballas with operator power like asura.. I hope.. it will be sick
So... let's see if I understood this correctly: The original Warframes, the ones the Tenno first bonded with, were like Umbra? They had their own mind? And the ones we build are just clones with basic instincts (Second Dream: Warframe pulls War out of its chest), but have no mind of their own?
Since we built Umbra in the foundry (admittedly after getting all the data - memories included? - from his leftovers) would we get similar results if we would rebuilt the original Warframes and not just knock offs?
What I need to know is...the original Warframes, back in the golden days of the Tenno under the Orokin Empire, were they like Umbra? That IS why they were necessary in the first place.
I think only Umbras have a human body inside a warframe and the primes are perfectly built bio machines that requires no human in them hence the no "will" part for the tenno to control. That also explains why Umbras act on their own when get out of it since its the person inside it is now controlling it.
Wrong.
All warframes now are perfectly built bio machines using raw materials.
But all warframes built by the orokin are infected warriors.
When the infected warframes well wiped of their will and memories, and then fitted with transference bolts, they became primes.
notification squad.
FroztByte Gamer woop woop
Everytime I hear "And take away it's pain..."
Them: *torture and brutilize creating rhino
Rhino: *eats them
The Primed and Regular Warframes are clones of the Umbras. Alad V said in the War within quest that he has cracked open a couple Warframes and they were born of no mother. IE the are clones. The Primed ones are the clones the Orokin made. And the regular Warframes are the clones the Tenno created because they did not have access to the Primed ones. We know the Orokin had cloning Technology due to the existence of the Grinner. And we know the more the Grinner are cloned the more they degrade. The cloning would be similar to the Warframes that happen to the Grinner when cloned. The orginal Umbras are the Orginal so they are the more powerful, then Primed, Then the Tennos version.
Just a little bit of my experience, I choose the moon answer, 'the circle is broken' and Ballas said 'This is what she sees in you' maybe it's what Margulis sees in us, like Ballas said 'They can learn the way to see inside this ugly broken thing, and take away its pain'
Hmm, where did we learn that the Orokin found the Infestation in the Derelict and created cultures? I thought they just created it from scratch.
So the infested really are aliens? The Orokin didn't make them, they just engineered some bio weapon out of them?
Nice video as always. But one thing i never quite figure out. When exacly Natah disguised herself as Margulis? If its before Margulis killed then what happened Margulis in that period? Did Natah imprisioned her? If its after Margulis killed then shouldnt people and Tennos notice? They should like: ''Whats up Margulis? Oh wait didnt u died??''
So the orokin aren't immortal.
ghost59able they are immortal in ways of living forever and never succumbing to old age. They can be killed though.
Knifeman but they can come back tho right?
Yes, we know this when this when the Beast of Bones tried to kill Orkin whom to him was the equivalent of killing gods. Only to kill several and have them laugh at him. Saying they have cheated death many times.
They can't die from old age because they take their souls and put into new bodies once theirs start to fail( for corpus 100yrs is considered young(I believe Darvo's father called him young and hes like 100 plus years of age)so we can infer they had long life and when it ended they just swapped bodies). We know about the body switching from the War Within quest.
Furthermore the idea of reviving someone is not strange to Warframe as when Hunhow was defeated the plan was for him to be revived for a surprise attacked but one of his follower in charge of doing so betrayed him.
I left out details to avoid spoiling anything what so ever.
ghost59able (SPOILER WARNING) it depends. Ordis came back as a cephalon. Margulis I'm not sure about, Idk if she is actually part of the lotus or if the lotus just acts like her and she's actually dead. Ballas looked pretty dead but since the lotus carried him off into space, maybe he will survive. And all the this millions of orokin we killed in the old war, well, I haven't seen any of them come back so I think they are dead for good
SPOILERS The only reason Ordis came back as a cephalon is that they used Kuva to remove his soul from his dying body and imprison in a cephalon as a cruel joke. As the Beast of Bones wished for death but as a super advanced AI his life would be endless the exact opposite of what he wanted.
Margulis at this point of time is believed dead, we know she was executed by the "jade light" whatever that means and that Ballas believes she is dead. I believe as Lotus tried to destroy the Tenno some how the memories of Margulis ended up imprinting into her memory making her feel sympathy, some how.
Nice
So Margulis died and later Natah disguised herself as Margulis and no1 in the orokin empire found it weird that Margulis was back?, I'm confused.
So warframes were created by the orokin, the first being umbra and the final being primes and the regular frames like plain ol rhino are cheap knock offs of the primes and are created in the foundry.
I understand all that but I was told that the frames used to be alive and had stories to them, so what happened to them?
Just what is the difference between say rhino and rhino prime (Unless primes were just machines like iron man's armour), are they the same or different person?
When we get a prime is it a knock off of the prime?
Who controlled the primes before the whole ship incident thing, cause if they were just "armour" I assume the tenno weren't born yet/created?
If the regular frames, (Not forged in foundry) were alive, how were they "born"/come to be?
isaah is probably the stalker.......... he probably did not die and would volunteer to be a frame.... and left his son.... teshin.. so teshin is probably the grand son of umbrah... maybe...
i completely forgot about the stalker, but looking back at it now... it seem like umbra and stalker have a similar origins... which is interesting...
BUT... could we... theoretically, cleanse the stalker? i mean we helped umbra get over his past... and if we could do that with stalker, wouldnt that mean he can become an ally?
after all, we are technically not even his enemy anymore, he seeks revenge on those who killed the orokin, and he thinks we killed them, but it was actually all part of ballas plan, which means if ballas hadnt acted, the orokin would still be alive... therefor, ballas is technically stalkers enemy
yup, thats interesting
I'm just a bit sad, because I thought The Sacrifice would give meaning to Light/Dark choice.
Ok but, WHAT ARE THEY? why is there no cut a dry explanation on the internet for this question?
I'm calling bullshit, all my questions about the Orokin aren't answered
I don’t get it , okay so warframes are made of infested which is why there is an infested room not to mention useless in our orbiter btw how was the derelict made
This does not make sense to me. You say warframes are a result of the infested virus infecting soldiers turning them into warframes with different abilities depending on the soldier. This would be the umbra warframes?
So that means the Umbra came first before the Prime frames?
Because the umbra were not controlable?
But didnt the orokin use the prime warframes against the sentients?? Wasnt prime frames created because they couldnt control umbras?
Because by the time Ballas betrays the orokin, werent all prime frames already created? Then why did that DAX soldier turn into Excalibur Umbra? If excalibur prime was the first warframe, shouldnt excalibur umbra be created before prime, meaning BEFORE ballas betrays the orokin???
Also just wanna let everyone know, the man in the wall has a dialogue after the quest at random.
Man in the wall: "Hey kiddo, what do you think?"
Tenno: "It was me, I killed isshin (The son of exca umbra)"
Man in the wall: "Good."
All warframes are made from infested soldiers.
Dax is the only Umbra warframe in existence. That too because Ballas did things differently with him.
Usully warframes were wiped of all will and memories and fitted eith transference bolts for tenno to use. This can be called the birth of the primes.
Umbra was made to have will and also the repeating memory of when he killed his son. That's why he's different. Also needed a unique transference bolt for this. All this special treatment becuse he tried to warn the Orokin about Ballas' treason
Are you the guy from GUGA FOODS? you sound the same, great video
Well this explains why warframes aren't just androgynous
Everyone says te quest didnt add anything new. But i dont rremember knowing exactly what warframes were or what actually started yhe war woth te sentients.
But did you think of this, that if umbra and stalker are same. Then how stalker can talk but umbra can't??
Alot of speculation on stalker since the umbra quest.
So we see stalker now as another umbra? Is he the more prototype than the umbras? Or was he more like a "normal" variant as a prime to a normal relation?
Does he know about the person of umbra? Or the project of it?
If my memory serves correct stalker served as a lesser guard in the orokin empire and was slain by the tenno along with his fellow acolytes.
AutismoBox hunhow had asked stalker "what happened to orokin? The way of your life?" or something like that, so theres a plothole that stalker was likely an umbra
Pan Based on the umbra cinematic it is highly possible that stalker could be an "umbra" in function since we could link his sturdy resolve to kill the tenno similar to umbra's hate for ballas.
However we do not know if stalker was part of warframe transformation project. If he knew then.
Was he part of it as a late entry? A candidate for prime? A volunteer for the orokin's glory? Or was it a last ditch attempt to get back at the tenno? I.E attempting to become a warframe without an operator much like umbra?
If he didn't then we can assume that hunhow (having connections with ballas) could have created stalker as a "lesser" variant of umbra?
All warframes made by orokin were once exactly like Excalibur Umbra.
The only difference is that they were kind wiped and fitted with transference bolts. Turned into primes, puppets for tenno.
Excalibur Umbra wasn't completely wiped because Ballas wanted to torture him. He made him keep the memory of Issah's murder forever, using a unique transference bolt.
Great video man. You are an amazing narrator, and u see WF lore in a light few can. Thank you.
This was such a bad ass story. Can’t wait for Jade Light to see more about our boy the Stalker.
you should check out this video by a small utuber called serferus his newest video talked about having group chats in warframe i was like forreal bro watch it now or whn u get the chance
Remember tenno, treat your warframe with kindness and compassion because you are their mind and they are your body.
Something is not right if you see specifically sentients are also weapons created by orokin and later betrayed by orokin its true that they hate orokin so does tenno then why are they hunting us we have a common cause so why can't we coexist and what happened to orokin where are they
I got a feeling its far more complex than it seems
why I can't find lore about the sentinels they are like docile sentients to Tennos but they attack grinners and corpus its all I got from the description
So is which of the 3 excalibur's is the real first warframe normal, prime or umbra?
Umbra was first a mighty dax but he was infected by the tenno disease and he was forces to kill his sin izaah and from the shadow of the long night emerges the umbra who seeks revenge from ballas the one who forced him to kill his son and the one he turned him into umbra and was angry and by the anger he was so strong but he couldn't hurt ballas because he created him and ballas can paralize him and natah destroyed him but the a vision from the lotus mask the tenno saw what happened to umbra and they went and scanned his remaining parts one of his accents his horn his scarf and they took his blueprint and rebuilded him and umbra was back to live and angrier than ever and the facade has cracked and the tenno was behold by the truth and saw what was under his skin and and then accessed into his memories and saw more about what happened to him and then umbra disappeared and went on a killing spree of grineer then the broke his shield and accessed to his memories again and saw more then umbra disappeared and he waited for the tenno in an old orokin tower and the tenno came and they fought for the last time and the tenno broke his shield once more and accessed his memories for the last time and got into his memories and tried to convince umbra when he was a mighty dax and infected by the helminth disease to not do what ballas forced him to do but of course the tenno couldn't change what happened but he can still help umbra and he was in his brain when umbra was under the shadow of the sacrifice tree and in pain then he looked inside him "they have learned how to look inside an ugly broken thing and take away its pain"and then the tenno took his pain away and they were both one and with the skiajati umbra defeated the sentients at the old orokin tower and went to ballas and yet again he defeated the sentient s and tried to kill ballas but ballas paralyzed him but by the tenno holded umbras hand and stabbed ballas with the skiajati and umbra took his revenge from ballas and then natah appeared and the sentients tried to shoot the tenno but umbra saves him and natah took ballass body and left and the tenno and umbra were one forever
Nope the Tenno have Basid Emphaty the Orokin dont understand that.
Good video,BUT HOW DO I GET SPACEMOM BACK!
The real 1st warframe isnt excalibur
Its the space aids nidus
I just have to wonder how many Dax soldiers knew about Ballas's plan to betray the Orokin and ended up turning into Umbras?
One
This probably explains why there is an infected room in our ship
Quest ended with the lyrics to an Ozzie Osborn song.
I ant wachting the video yet some one pls tell me when will the sacrifice quest come to ps4
TakenCoder45321 2123 Sinclair said stay tuned next week sounds like it goes into cert next week but dont quote me on that
There is no date, but I can assume they'll fix the bugs, then make a build for the console then send it over for approval and then you'll get it. Some I'm guessing mid July to late August but I really don't know these things.
And the award for rookie Warframe content creator goes to!...
Ballas is with the sentients but still he builded paracesis the sentient slayer
I believe stalker is a human in a transference loop
Your theory is much better than dkdiamantes
So all warfres where humans and they should have a story is there a story for chroma if there can someone tell me about him also can we say that the lotus now is evil or the evil itself and is stalker just like umbra and also I think that stalker is good but the orokins or hunhow mind controled him last thing please tell me are hunhow and lotus sentient or orokins and are the sentients like the mimics that we killed and what is eidolon and who created him please tell me and for what
iBlazingGamer thanks man ❤️❤️❤️
That was a nice explanation wow
Not all warframes were people
DanBYTe is there an example I think it's like wukong and nezha because they are just from old Chinese mythology
iBlazingGamer yeah that make sense
Oh and I'm pretty sure Issah is still alive.
Reminds me of metal gear lust for revenge keeps a man alive
Wait where in warframe do you remove your helmet?
Where do u get the infestation from void??
Wait, didn't the Orokin create the Infestation and not just find it?
Marin Ciprijan I thought so too. I thought it was a engineered bio-weapon that they struggled to control and gave up on.
All Seeing Sage ye
Kathy Kat yap
Kathy Kat That was the original story from my understanding but as it's layed out by Ballas in the Sacrifice he makes it sound like the infestation was an old technology they turned to in response to the sentients but it predated the sentient threat... I wonder what it's original target was.
whats that tenno armor your tenno is wearing?
Well. Time to replay the Sacrifice
imma just play the second dream quest again just to have umbra dressed as stalker vs shadow stalker
Great video do you stream twitch
This channel so underrated!
I think umbra is from tau system not the origin system
Because umbra has his/her own mod
Bruh that's soo fucking stupid
A few things I'm confused on when it's coming to the lore. 1) is Helmet the actual viral strain or is it that room and chair that is meant to monitor the frames and it was the technocyte virus. 2) I've known heard from multiple stand points that some people knew about Ballas turning traitor on the Empire and working with Hunhow and the Sentients. From the story quest it seemed like Umbra was possibly the only one and this may have known, and this actually may have been done post Margulis death so not even Nathan/Lotus would have known about what he did (possibly because Hunhow would have kept the info to himself, he seems like that kinda fella). any thoughts on this?
Can’t wait for more umbras wowo
I thought they made the infested?
As always nice video :D. By the way, did you had the new interaction with the man in the wall. Because I did and it was a lot different from just the "hey kiddo". My operator and him had a short but a whole conversation who was quite strange
After watching umbra fight while I'm on operator mode I would love to see, maybe in the next quest, all my warframe's fighting together and using all my weapons to, I dont know, kill a bunch of sentients after our ship get's destroyed and our tenno is wounded or something, that would be really cool.
Maybe Margolis memory is still in the lotus helmet. We still have it after the quest. I hope the Tau system is the secret project that DE is working on. And will be released at tenocon . It will be a mic drop moment.
And so with one video you made your channel the first I rationally subscribed.
Congratulations I had not thought on the idea that Stalker could just be like umbra an infected soldier turned to a frame and crazed for revenge. Gave me something to think and maybe a path to understanding that Stalker might be another victim instead of a Nemesis.
Have a great day and thank you for the insight.
now that we know how warframes where made. now we just need to know *WHO* they where. Umbra was a Dax so it's safe to say that the excaliburs where all Daxs or similar. now who was Nidus, who was Ember, who was Equinox? that is all I want to know now.
All Warframes were randoms.
They explain that they were comprised of volunteers (i.e. Dax soldiers, and possibly others whom were fanatical of the Orokin) and others whom were forced into the process (Most likely low class citizens, homeless people, prisoners, political opponents, etc). So we can't really know who was who, since regardless, they were all tortured in the process of being turned into a Warframe.
what I mean is does a person's skill influence what kind of warframe they become. and why does Equinox have to forms, were they two different people fused into one? and as such.
The orokin were mess up
Great video, DA 👍
I was waiting for this.
Where were these kind of videos when I was in high school history class??
A+ on video delivery!
but isnt it able ro be more umbra warframes??!??!(luvv your vidd bro)
Love the lore video
This explained a lot about Rhino Prime's codex, the raging, blood thirsty golem is Rhino, and the 2 people in the codex entry found where the Tenno was kept, so the Tenno could calm and control the beast
What if it was in Rhino Prime's Codex but wasn't talking about Rhino Prime himself? What if the codex was about the original, wild, infested-human Rhino? Rhino Umbra?
Geo Net maybe. but i like to think that Excal umbra is unique and one of a kind since he knows ballas personally and only he could dare defy an executor.
Even though I agree that what you said sounds better, DE already mentioned that Excalibur will not be the only Umbra, and they will slowly start releasing more and more Umbra Frames just like what they are doing with Prime Frames. You will just get them in a different way instead of relics
I WANT MOAR!!
Wow, thank you DA. Thank you for clearing things up.
So it was what we thought before the tenno were introduced mixed the lore of the cinematic quest
This short video explained me everything. Thank you.
Poor umbra😞
Spoilers?
Great job
All of this troubles all started when de added a decoration room...
In the back of my mind I feel like DE kinda gave the Warframes the Spartan treatment from Halo when it comes to lore vs gameplay. In Halo lore the Spartans are described as a near unstoppable force, especially the II’s. And judging from prime trailers and cutscenes I feel like our warframes are capable of much more than we are, like ALOT more capable, like unlimited energy capable.
U MEAN LIKE....."TRINITYISINYOURSQUAD" ENERGY CAPACITY ??? 😲
Ahh I like your lore video I love the lore in Warframe keep up with the good job
