At one point yeah I hope to have Lore Videos on every part of the story ^^ However I'm in no rush to make them right now since I want to have a balanced mix between Guides, Lore and other video formats ;)
They really did use their game "dark Sector" for inspiration for Warframe. The main characters' name in that game was Hayden TENNO. He got infected by some sort of zombie virus and became kinda like a warframe. The weapon he used was the glaive. later in the game he found and used a piece of armor that looked like Excalibur. (See Excalibur's and the glavie's proto skins!)
I mean Dark Sector was supposed to be Warframe right from the get go. Kust the Publisher forced them to stay more down to earth with the setting and artstyle
Great content mate! Because of your videos I got back to warframe recently. Learned more from your channel that I learned from my 1000 hours in it.. when there were no relics but keys for origin vaults. It will be great to have this type of lore videos continued. Thank you! All the best😊
Imagine if DE make something similar to Animatrix and made animated shorts narrating the many stories of every warframe Origin. It would be cool as hell
What about the story with the three Orokin children that played a "Halloween" prank by putting themselves in the bodies of the dead that they twisted around?
Even if it's no longer officially canon, Warframe takes HEAVY inspiration from the company's original game Dark Sector, in which a mysterious techno-organic virus was spreading unchecked through an eastern european nation that turned people into feral biometalic zombies that developed psychic and energy-controlling powers the longer they survive. They possess a genetic drive to infect and convert all other life that they can, and even twist the motivations of still-conscious infected subjects. The MC gets infected but manages to halt the conversion process before it warps his mind too much. His name? Hayden Tenno. The Excalibur warframe suit is visually identical to a prototype powered exosuit Hayden discovered before the final mission. Of course, such a process would be pretty hard to replicate efficiently, so the Orokin eventually discovered how to give the Void-touched children of the Zariman mental control of these seemingly uncontrollable, cannibalistic, ever-evolving Technocyte monstrosities to create the perfect super-powered soldier/assassin, the Tenno class. Also, the Sentients were explicitly stated to originate from beyond the stars. The INFESTED, however, were engineered (canon) from the Technocyte virus and combined with adaptive nanite tech (best guess from evidence) to attempt to combat the Sentients, which backfired spectacularly (canon). All that being said, I haven't played consistently for years, no this might have been retconned/rewritten since.
Thank you for the compliment, LazerCat :D In fact I already have two more Lore Videos over on my German channel that wouldn't be much effort to translate. One about the Orokin, one about the Dax. I'll see when I get to translating them ;)
The Orokin stated in their records that original warframes went mad. Yet both Umbra quest, and Lavarian contradict this. It seems that most of them, at some point simply defied Orokin. Seeing how corrupt and ruthles they were, and with the power bestowed by Helminth, they could sucessfuly oppose them. Others though died as heroes protecting what they hold dear, either Empire or people they deem weak or treated unjusty.
@@lonerplayz5844 Umbra hunted Ballas for hundreds of years and there aren't any legends of him. He stayed low profile enitre time and was sucessful in finding him, but failed in the end - fate even too similiar to most of original warframes. Only when reconstructed by Operator (so without other memories then ones encoded by Ballas) went blind rage and randomly serched him. Until Operator calmed down Umbra, and promised to take care of him. That was not the case with original one. The only warframe that is clearly stated to be controlled by Tenno was Styanax. Others? It would seem even strange that was the case, especially Lavos and Nezha.
@@Khrodeas pretty sure when the operator crafts umbra that's just a game mechanic, dame with scanning his remains. I’m pretty sure in lore we retrieved his remains and had the pog wall stitch him back together, hence the damage that was regenerating when he snatched the operator. @@Khrodeas also the leverian entries don’t mention the operators due to being able to be visited by any tenno, if they mentioned operators then that would be a spoiler. Yes the operators were controlling the leverian war frames, such as when the orokin sent Atlas to go punch that space rock.

so many people still cope that Warframes are just robots even after The Sacrifice and has been explained in the quest, thank god this video exists to all clueless people
I guess you mean Dark Sector. Even though it was also developed by the same team and the parallels in design are very obvious, canonically Dark Sector and Warframe are not set in the same universe 😉
You got a couple of things wrong bud....at first warframes were not known as warframes....they were referred to as simply technocyte golems... it wasn't until the tenno started to control them via transference that they were dubbed warframes
It's a detail that isn't exactly important enough to give in a short explanation video, so it makes sense why he would left it out. Besides, technically technocyte golems weren't always used to refer to the Warframes the video is referring to, as the J3-Golem is also referred as such, and it is a seperate weapon orokin created, not a warframe. So technically not all technocyte golems were Warframes, so it would make sense to leave out that detail in a short simplified explanation.
That's a good question. As far as I know this was never stated anywhere. However the lore at some points indirectly implies that every Warframe was unique. But also here no final statement unfortunately :/
What we 'control' today are replicates of the originals, although slightly unclear 'how' they are made (be it from a dead body or from ground up), they are basicly DNA copies of the original warframes. The original warframes came from the experiments of the Strain, be it in the thousands of warriors being exposed to this, during that time each frame was kinda unique as its host was unique. Each of the frame backstory/quest shows the story original frame, and how we end up able to replicate them. Its kinda the ongoing 'pool' of wich DE can add new frames, from all those experiments they were handpicked to fight against the Sentient. By the time 'we' kick in, they already had created tons of unique and replicatable warframes, we just became the 'better' driver at it where as far i know Umbrah kicked it off knowing we could 'ease' the frames going insane.
@@MHBlacky_ENG Cavalero says that most Tenno kids survived the disaster. Zariman looks like it can contain thousands of people, so there should be at least 500 Tenno in the Old War and at least 20 awakened after the Second Dream. I don't think Orokin would give every single Tenno unique Warframe - it looks more like they started with basic Warframes (Excal, Loki, Volt and Mag) that were tailored and changed to personal needs (for example Inaros got sand powers, because his Tenno worked on Mars surface). That's why every (or most) Warframes are unique About Primes - Varzia says that some Tenno got a Prime from the start, but some of them needed to work hard in order to get them. For example Harrow and Revenant never got Prime variants before the events of the game (Revenant Prime comes from alternate reality through the Void)
i liked it but you did get allot of stuff won't , but it was close enough and it is a rarer format so ... anyway i think you should do more id really love that !
Simply explain, they were us but cloned and got superpower and incredibly regeneration likes wolverine and deadpool plus their skin were made from ferrite alloy, the material were very rare by now
Forgive me for asking dumb questions, but I'm struggling a bit to fully understand it all. The original warframes were born of 'normal' mortal people? But from a cutscene with that scientist dude from early on this game's history, he said that when he opened a warframe once, it was hollow. Or something like that. So what exactly is the breakdown here? The warframes we play as in-game, are those hollow copies, shells of their former originals that we use, or are we literally recreating the originals? I think I like them being suits more than what it actually is. I don't know. I was just watching a lore video for Voruna and her lore feels like her existence wouldn't line-up with the earlier warframe creation. So in Voruna's case, was she a sentient being with a suit who is later recreated for the player, or did she just become a tool during her fusion with her wolves? It's confusing to me.
I do not want to be mean , this will be my opinion based on what I saw in the old war and the 20 minute demo gameplay video of the duviri paradox It shows how the tenno appeared after our character makes a deal to save everybody , thus killing other versions of him and getting his void power Or something like that , and the duviri paradox shows that perfectly , as the void interacts with the drifter throughout the entire 20 minute demo
Thanks for this. The game doesn't explain the current time line to understand why the solar system is the way it is. Even Earth is not recognizable. I think the devs would have been better off creating a different solar system, than leave us in the dark wondering how many millenia has passed to get to where you are in the game.
So... Warframes are what happens to Tenno in Dark Sector is what I understand. An infection transforms the bodies of it's hosts into weapons of extreme power at the cost of most if not all sense of self. Ya know, everyone likes to say that Dark Sector isn't cannon to Warframe Lore, but the similatities are too damn noticeable to be "Just a coincidence, just inspiration."
can you make a tutorial on how to deal way more damage simplified? i am middle game and I kinda suck towards steel path lil help? currently I can mod any weapon to obliterate lvl 60`s so yea thx!

They are mere synthetic robotic replicas based off of blueprints of the originals that we recreated in our Orbiter ship. My theory to make this match with other frames like Mirage going insane is that long term Blue Kuva induced transference could drive the person operating the warframe nuts if they do it to much.
This was beautifully done. Instant follow homie!
Clean Lore breakdown and time friendly.
Glad that you liked it. Thank you for the nice Feedback
Kids these days have it easy learning the lore.
Yes and I'm glad friends give me resources
I always appreciate some WF lore. Do you plan to go through the entire main story line?
At one point yeah I hope to have Lore Videos on every part of the story ^^
However I'm in no rush to make them right now since I want to have a balanced mix between Guides, Lore and other video formats ;)
Well that explains the disturbing nature behind umbra's.
So all warframes were ''humans'' ?
More lore videos please. Great video.
Thank you my friend! I'll see what I can do ;)
Great content mate! Because of your videos I got back to warframe recently. Learned more from your channel that I learned from my 1000 hours in it.. when there were no relics but keys for origin vaults. It will be great to have this type of lore videos continued. Thank you! All the best😊
Happy to hear you liked the vid! :D Thank you for your encouraging feedback ❤️
I wish you a great time and good loot when exploring the Starchart 😉
Honestly I would love it if they made a game that focused solely on the old war and how the teno came to be.
Yeah, a single player rpg or something. Like what Squadron 42 is to Star Citizen :D
Maybe with the former Warframe Developer who just recently left, his new project 'Soulframe' may be able to tell this?....we shall see!
They mentioned that soul frame is not connected to Warframe

It would be cool as hell
I love the part in warfare where lotus said. “Erm.. I guess you are the warframe now!”
This sounds like an intro explaining the lore when you first download a game especially the end
Please make more lore, by the way, great stuff, brother.
What about the story with the three Orokin children that played a "Halloween" prank by putting themselves in the bodies of the dead that they twisted around?
I thought those were Orokin adults who were board
@@sillerbarly4927 You're right. I am not sure where I thought it was three Orokin kids, it was just a kid that locked them in those bodies.
Without a doubt, Excalibur is my favorite Warframe. He just is. There is no why.
More lore please. Great video.
Thank you for the compliment! Glad you liked the vid ^^
Yeah, sooner or later we're going to have to address the fact that Ordis appears to have kidnapped a lot of people for us.😢
i feel like i watched a nature documentary
Question: are ALL warframes former people, or just the prime variants? Are normal frames simply modeled after the primes without the human subject?
very good, short and informative
Thank you man, I appreciate it
Even if it's no longer officially canon, Warframe takes HEAVY inspiration from the company's original game Dark Sector, in which a mysterious techno-organic virus was spreading unchecked through an eastern european nation that turned people into feral biometalic zombies that developed psychic and energy-controlling powers the longer they survive.
Amazing lore, you should upload some more lores.
Thank you for the compliment, LazerCat :D In fact I already have two more Lore Videos over on my German channel that wouldn't be much effort to translate. One about the Orokin, one about the Dax. I'll see when I get to translating them ;)
Umbra is the only warframe with a human inside
The Orokin stated in their records that original warframes went mad. Yet both Umbra quest, and Lavarian contradict this. It seems that most of them, at some point simply defied Orokin. Seeing how corrupt and ruthles they were, and with the power bestowed by Helminth, they could sucessfuly oppose them. Others though died as heroes protecting what they hold dear, either Empire or people they deem weak or treated unjusty.
umbra did go mad tho? and the lavarian is both the warframe and tenno the warframes were helped to be shaped by the tenno
Ballas didn't erase memories from umbra, more like forced him to relive them over and over again till it drove the warfrsme insane.
@@Khrodeas also the leverian entries don’t mention the operators due to being able to be visited by any tenno, if they mentioned operators then that would be a spoiler. Yes the operators were controlling the leverian war frames, such as when the orokin sent Atlas to go punch that space rock.
@@senatorarmstrong1233 both are only you headcannon and "fanfiction". We either can talk about what actually happens in games and what characters said, or not talk at all. Facts are as they are, operator scans remains, and builds frame a new. Even Ordis comments on this. Latter is false entirely as Lavarian speaks openly about Styanax being controlled by Tenno.
Also Parvos Granum bodygurard Protea isn't controlled by Tenno.
The title of this video all I can hear is that line from Soylent green.
This game needs a Anime or a series of the history and lore
LOL Exposure to radiation gives you the super power of Cancer.

Happy to hear that you liked it, iceman :D Thank you for your nice feedback ^^
Yo it's been over 10 years and we still don't have a Warframe cinematic movie. You could even do a live at application if it's done So long Netflix doesn't get
And please don't let Disney get the rights either xD
You forgot to mention that so called Tenno gone rouge and obliterated all of the Orokin. Anyway, great video. Stylish, strait to the point, not boring. Like.
Played dark sector when I was but a wee lad now as a MAN playing Warframe and it's confusing as hell
i remember i was there when the empire was gone and the tenno resurge before the lore update warfraame feels diferent now , a .. child? controling a voided carcas of an torture experiment ; remember when warframe was....
Great lore, i want moree...
Now second video
i already watched the german video so i can type while listening xD
Idk what i commented on the german vid but i guess u forgot too so thats no problem xD
Anyways i like the art style it looks nice :)
And well yea...I think for some warframe is just a grind game but for me...i think sometimes its not only a grind game sometimes but ...more of a story game
i dont knw how the devs do it but they always catch me with their updates
sometimes im not sure what catches me more or what keeps me with this game more
The story or the content
i love how deep the story actually is in this game
and some players just play it to be able to play the new content (like zamarin or veilbreaker)
(ik ik i sound very cliche and like a fan boy rn but thats how it is xD)
Ik this may sound kinda...stupid xD but i played 'the sacrifice' like 7ish times and like 4 of these playtroughs were because of story
i just love the quest (and well i hate ballas xD but i love him for making umbra...xd)

Well done. Dropped you a sub
Thank you so much, Jay! Welcome tothecommunity
Great video keep going
Thank you for the compliment! :D
im confused i thought it came from the game before and how at the end the character gets the og Excalibur suit
I guess you mean Dark Sector. Even though it was also developed by the same team and the parallels in design are very obvious, canonically Dark Sector and Warframe are not set in the same universe 😉
Like it very much! Thanks
Happy you like dit, David! Thank you for your support! :D
Wait...I thought everyone knew this already like yrs ago
Warframe has amazing lore and I'm glad DE are doing stuff with it now. We need more lore on the MIGHTY SEER
I'm sure the story of the mighty Seer begins and ends in a Grineer trashbin... and there will be an extensive chapter about the Stug, too xD
The mighty single heat sword is way superior
@@MHBlacky_ENG what about the mighty heat sword? The one could burst anything in flames of holy fire!
Were most of Warframes custom-made or most of Tenno controled stock Excalibur, Volt, Mag and Loki models equiped with Braton Prime?
That's why every (or most) Warframes are unique
About Primes - Varzia says that some Tenno got a Prime from the start, but some of them needed to work hard in order to get them. For example Harrow and Revenant never got Prime variants before the events of the game (Revenant Prime comes from alternate reality through the Void)
i liked it but you did get allot of stuff won't , but it was close enough and it is a rarer format so ... anyway i think you should do more id really love that !
Do more of these please!!
Thank you for the lovely feedback, Nicolas :D It will not have been the last one ;)
This is really good...
I do not want to be mean , this will be my opinion based on what I saw in the old war and the 20 minute demo gameplay video of the duviri paradox
It shows how the tenno appeared after our character makes a deal to save everybody , thus killing other versions of him and getting his void power
Or something like that , and the duviri paradox shows that perfectly , as the void interacts with the drifter throughout the entire 20 minute demo
Thanks for this. The game doesn't explain the current time line to understand why the solar system is the way it is. Even Earth is not recognizable. I think the devs would have been better off creating a different solar system, than leave us in the dark wondering how many millenia has passed to get to where you are in the game.
This is the one big question I am also wondering about... How far in the future are we? Centuries? Millenia? Maybe we'll get some infos one day ^^
If I didn't know any better I'd say warframes are avatars to the tenno
can you make a tutorial on how to deal way more damage simplified? i am middle game and I kinda suck towards steel path lil help? currently I can mod any weapon to obliterate lvl 60`s so yea thx!
Invest a little less into raw damage, and a little more into learning about status damage/chance and crit dmg/chance.
Each enemy also has. Weaknesses and strength, so use your configurations on your weapons to make different builds with different focuses. Ie for different enemy types!
The good news is I actually have planned to make a video like this. But due to Corona I'm not sure when my voice will be defucked enough to start recording again. It'll come in the next few weeks I'm sure ;)

Back in the day I wanted this so bad. I used to theory craft. I partially predicted what the frames were, and I predicted operators.
You explaned that way better than the game
Haha thanks bro! :D Although to be fair the game is so bad at telling its own story, it's not too difficult :P
Wait dis doesn’t add up the orokin wasn’t at war they sent the ship to the void to find other planted to call home using the using the void and with the ship only holding so much they decided to make self repairing robots to make life easier but the void turn the adults feral and the robot became sentient which saw the orokin as the problem to the solar system.
De should hire this guy

Never before have I seen a game with lore I was more capable of enjoying but with an art style that makes me hate the ENTIRE GAME as a result more than warframe. I WANT TO LIKE THIS GAME SO BADDDDDDDDD, but the fact that literally everything in this fucking game either looks like a bug, a tree, or a fucking box, and everyone I've met agrees with me, but is insanely mad that I pointed it out. *** Yes, However (Semi-Spoilers):

.
The Warframes we pilot as a Tenno from the Tenno-Man-Zero space ship via Void Transference, are NOT * the * original Warframes. They are mere synthetic robotic replicas based off of blueprints of the originals that we recreated in our Orbiter ship.
As far as we know, most of the original Warframes that were once people have been killed and destroyed during the War Against the Orokin Empire and the Old War with the Sentients. So far, the only three (3) exceptions to this we know of and meet are: 1) Excalibur Umbra, 2) The Stalker, and 3) Jade. Those three are THE original versions of themselves with human-infested transformed bodies and sentience.
