Very nice collection. I really like them being on the pegs, adds to the nostalgia of finding the figure at the store. It's hard to shop for stuff unless it's online since all the stores are closing or just not being restocked.
Yeah,, I only bought a couple of the MOTU figures and I think the Insecticon Shrapnel, everything else was online. It's convenient but I'll always miss the atmosphere of a big toyshop like Toys R Us
I still got a crapload of my G1 transformers and I'm still a huge collector to this day of stuff just not transformers all those I've just got sitting in a tote waiting to pass down to my godchild! Last collection I invested in was Power of rhe Primes! Jetfire was my biggest find find for the siege of Cybertron collection! And I grew up as a Toys R Us kid I don't ever want to grow up! 🤣👍🏼 Being a collector is fun and it helps you reminisce with some old school stuff as well! Very cool collection! For Transformers, I'm trying to collect all of the Autobots and Decepticons that appeared in the first season of the cartoon. The only Autobots they still need to make in the modern Generations/Legacy/Studio era are Gears, Windcharger, and Dinobot Swoop. I've hear a rumor that Gears is coming this year, and of course they'll make Swoop to complete the Dinobots. My only problem is I missed Grimlock when he first came out and now he's super expensive on the secondary market, so I'm hoping they'll release another version sometime soon.
They've already released the same Grimlock mould in G2 colours so I'm sure they'll find a way to re-release it again. Maybe a deluxe version of the original with more sparkly gold and more accessories (I'd rather he came with his sword than Wheelie - especially since they released a more articulated Wheelie later!). Did you hear about the G1 Hound coming in a multipack? I will be picking that up since I need the others in that pack as well (apart from Jazz).
@@retroandreissue Crossing my fingers for a re-release of Grimlock, and yeah, hopefully he comes with the sword. And yes, I heard about the five-pack with Hound. It's frustrating because I do have the other four, although I'm also crossing my fingers that they're not just repackaged versions but maybe slightly improved (Sunstreaker's colors at least). But if that's the only way to get Hound, I'll do it because he was always one of my favorites; and I'll just try to sell or trade the others.
I've been getting the Indiana Jones line because it will end. So it's not like the Star wars Black series where it'll go on forever or I've already missed the opportunity to get the main cast in their different forms. The Indy series is somewhat manageable. Still sticking to SS86 only and got the DnD figures. They're alright once they warm up. Nice to see your update and the choices you've made.
It's insane how similar our collections are. I mainly collect 'modern retro' like origins, star wars retro, TF re-issues and tend to scoff at stuff like the Black series and Gijoe classifieds. The only exception is I also collect SS86 Transformers. Oh and an ever expanding Lego SW collection, but I tell myself that's an investment. Where did you get the peg boards if I may inquire?
I thought about collecting Lego but storage or display space are something I'm always considering. I just don't have the room!
