Why was Janet stuck in the quantum realm for 30 years when she had enough pym particles to turn a snow globe sized engine core into a city?!
The only way for her OUT of the quantum realm was a) a portal opens from the upstairs world or b) someone comes and saves her. There was no way for HER to escape. That is why they made it clear that Kang would have taken her out of there but instead she tried to destroy his ship and remain trapped. That is all proper and explained.

helmet removal is just for showing the actor's face. because with helmet its easy for us ( vfx artist ) , helmet removal adds another complication for us because now we have to make the face look real with the CGI body.
Paul Rudd screaming "OUR WORD IS OUR BOND!" As he smashes everything, was the best part of the movie.

Scott and Hope getting stuck in Quantum Realm was so obvious but I get it. Its criminal at this point separating Scott from Cassie like this over and over again.
That mid credit scene. Although it was good, it would've been more ominous and effective if they teased only one Kang (Immortis) with a darker tone. That would've been kinda scary. Instead we get a Kang cosplay moment. XD
The movie starts with Scott living a great life, with his daughter a bit disappointed at him for not being an activist. And the movie ends with Scott living a great life with Scott still not being an activist.
I like the part where Scott learns nothing, faces no personal consequences to his own life, doesn’t get conflicted with any ethical choice, does not get to do any sacrifice and gets to continue living his life as if nothing happened.
Also loved the constant amount of Deus ex machina, exposition and plot contrivances scattered all throughout the movie.
10/10 movie. Go watch it!

His life is the same, he is still with his wife/girlfriend, with his daughter and the whole family and nothing suggests he is suffering any negative effect. He is just second guessing himself about future kangs, but that's not a consequence.

They'd pitched this movie as a NEXT AVENGERS LEVEL THREAT esque for months, and our next buddy goes down by bunch of ants. Well done, mission accomplished! 😄 👏🏻

Apparently I heard there was a deleted scene in the end where Ant man and the Wasp did in fact get stuck in the Quantum Realm and Kaang escapes. That would've been more interesting honestly. Idk why they changed it other than MCU movies need happy endings or whatever.
I think that should've been the ending and the line where Scott said "I guess we both have to lose" would've made more sense.
They don't Need Kang to Escape there about 100 Billion more of him that the point of KANG you can't ever really beat Him

There's a big theory going around that when Ant-Man returns back, it's actually a different timeline. Why does the cafe guy remember Scott's name now? No one would've heard of the Quantum Realm stuff. Also, when Scott passes a couple, they immediately appear in front of him again, almost like a closed loop.......

Was watching Mr Sunday movies as well actually. Just great every once in while seeing all the content you watch connect.
Apparently, the original ending had them stuck in the quantum realm and the portal closes. But during a screen testing audience members (teens) were like wait - didn't that already happen in the last movie? Based on that alone they changed the movie and ending to where suddenly everyone is saved and zero consequences. Kang is not dead though.
Damn. It's still different though because Scott isn't alone this time, and they established familiarity with the residents of the quantum realm

This whole movie should have been called antman3: super easy barely an inconvenience
But what if this is exactly how it was supposed to go? What if Kang was supposed to get trapped on purpose. What if Kang learns infinite wisdom while trapped in the probability field and Kang becomes Immortus. One theory is that Kang will become a "god" that way and not require tech to time travel. What if throwing Kang into that just turned him Super Saiyan 3? Remember that this movie is meant to set up the next 3 YEARS of events....

I kinda wish they would have taken a page out of Greg Weisman’s book when it came to Kang. You know, the whole Xanatos Gambit trope? The kind of villain where “even when they lose, they win” sort of shtick. I think that would have worked well, what with Kang being a genius by 31st century standards and having extraordinary knowledge of time and space to the point where he could shape history to get what he desires.

About Scott's Sacrifice stopping to fight Kang at the end, He did not know that Hope would come back, and he did not know Cassie could reopen the portal. for all he knew he sacrificed himself to safe his family. NOt his Fault Cassie ruined his sacrifice by saving him.

@@varunc9110 NOt at all. WHat I am saying is that the fact that she saved him should not diminish his sacrifice. The idea I am commenting on is that Scott and Hope being saved in the end takes the meaning out of their sacrifice. I disagree. The Heroic thing is the decision to stay. In a split second Scott decides that he needs to stay and fight Kang, KNowing he could be killed. Hope Chose to stay with Scott knowing she could be trapped or killed. BUt they did it anyway. That was the sacrifice. So Cassie saving them does not take away the impact of that decision, IMHO.

The helmet removal thing is a screen actors guild rule that a speaking actor must not have their face concealed if they speak for x amount of time in a movie. It’s why cgi characters are made to resemble the actors and why Spider-Man is constantly pulling his mask off. If they made the original Star Wars today Darth Vader would constantly be removing his helmet too. It’s also why Jason a silent masked killer never removes his mask. ( because without a speaking role he doesn’t have to)
Also Jason's mask is his look.

I think they could get away with it for Darth Vader because they have one actor in the suit, and one actor doing the voice.

Film Theory actually theorised that the "Our word is our bond" line was an implication the movie had been drastically reedited and reshot because Marvel just hurled out as many movies as it could due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Quantumania was supposed to be the end of Phase 4. Just something I felt like sharing.

Just saw a article today where VFX artists revealed that Wakanda Forever was pushed with more budget. Quantamania movie VFX budget is reduced and artists were asked to complete in tight deadlines.
This makes no sense. Disney doesn't have money for two movies? Disney can't take the time for two movies? Absurd excuse.

I've been a fan of Ryan's for years now; Just started watching reactions to his pitch meetings...You guys do a great job...But, Ryan is just so good at getting to the Irony or ridiculousness of modern movies...I watch movies much differently now....
From what I understand Scott was originally supposed to be stuck in there trapping Kang.

I just watched the movie today and I really think this is a great example of the professional reviews but being representative of how enjoyable the film is. I totally agree with the much higher viewer ratings. This is the first movie in like a decade where I wanted to turn around and go right back in to the theater to watch it again.

I just found this movie to be a series of, disjointed (?) story beats to fill in between the action sequences.
Disjointed isn't completely the right word I know, but that's how it feels.

Regarding the caravan of garbage tangent. That reminds me of what if episode 2 where kraglin and tazerface abduct tchalla instead of Peter and justify it by saying all terrans look the same. 2 see holes, 2 heat holes, 1 eat hole. Literally all of them fit that description.

The reason why characters keep taking off their helmets in these movies and shows is a Screen Actor's Guild thing apparently. Directors and filmmakers have always got to have their actors wear their helmets and masks for a limited amount of screen time because slap their face on the posters and have them get their face out there more so the work doesn't dry up. It's so stupid, I know.

Yeah, it would’ve made more since for Scott to be stuck in the Quantum realm, but really, how many times are we gonna put him (and the other protagonist) there with the fear they’ll get stuck there. It’s happened every movie.

I really hope Marvel realizes that they have to go back to quality over quantity and that's okay to take needed time for the projects.

"Our word is our bond" made no sense to me specifically because he had the item and didn't give it to Kang like he said he would. Kang took it from him. So Ant-Man broke his word by not giving it to Kang.

Thought MODOK was going to be an interesting threat, instead he was a not so interesting...JOKE! The snap of a finger change of heart was also beyond dumb. Then Kang...my man Kang wiped the floor with the Avengers, shows some pretty serious powers, gets mopped by Ant Man and his little band.
Think I'll only stick to the MCU stuff that's similar to Winter Soldier, Civil War, Falcon/Winter Soldier (stuff like Secret Invasion/Armor Wars). Then the big stuff such as Kang Dynasty/Secret Invasion!

Apparently, Hope had a probability clone who was a mother with two children. Just like Scott had a Baskin Robbins clone, but it was deleted. I think that's what felt off with the script. Especially when Hope came back for Scott when she was off-screen for a while. I think between that scene, there was a Hope storyline.
Marvel scripts these days are the equivalent to Cyberpunk 2077s release. Have to meet a deadline no matter what, even if it’s clearly not ready. Either that, or the quality control at Marvel is fast asleep.

The one thing that gets me through the mediocre/awful franchise movies that I see in a theater nowadays is knowing that the Pitch Meeting is going to be hilarious.
So here's the thing. Pym describes the ants as a "Class 2 technocratic society" which everyone assumes is a Type II on the Kardashev scale (as it's the only thing that makes sense). That means that apparently the ants have the ability to harness the entire energy of a star, through such means as a Dyson sphere or something equally insane.
This has a couple of consequences.
1. How the **** are they at that level given they should be harnessing *our* star to reach this level?
2. How does humanity have any major problems given that at any point in time, Hank Pym could go down, get some of these ants (who worship him as a deity) and basically get them to teach us how to massively increase our scientific knowledge to such a ridiculous degree that Earth should be unrecognisable in the MCU within just a couple of years.
Yes, this problem has come up before (fuck you Wakanda/Iron Man/Any space faring civilisation that owes us over the whole Thanos thing) but now it becomes a massive *character* flaw for one person for literally every second he's not doing it.
But they didn't know.. who antman and cassy were?? Hello 😅

People loved all the time Tony Stark does the helmet removal in his iron man suit. That looked cool as hell. I think they just tried to do the same thing here.
The nano tech was invented (in the MCU) in Wakanda, and Stark updated his tech with similar technology.

Movie was great tbf it seems like a lot of RUclipsrs nowadays go by what people say based off comments but that’s all I’ll say.
The movie was awful. The excuses for it are just rationalizations such that you hear for all bad movies.

Love the channel but not a fan of the aspect ratio as it does not go full screen on standard screens which is 16:9.
We’ve been doing this for a few years now. It’s a 2:1 aspect ratio because most people watch video on their phones and this fills out the proportions of phones better. If you watch on a tv, it gives you a slight widescreen look, the same as movies.

Important lesson learned: Helmet removals are awesome.
While the movie had a lot of problems, I still enjoyed it. Kang the Conqueror should have gotten out.
Wouldn’t removing helmets require more cgi because the way they remove helmets is like hi tech and not normal
It’s a quick animation for removal versus having to maintain it through more of the scene. That’s more tracking and reflections and whatnot.

You pretty much nailed it. I really feel bad for that actress. She must have been so happy to be cast in such a successful franchise only to be fired in such an unprofessional way. Kathryn Newton isn't that good of an actress so her casting didn't make sense to me.

The only part I disagree with is Kathryn not looking like the young actress. If you put photos all three of them side by side you will notice that both of the older actresses look like the younger one in different features

ok, lets imagine they did something like this, if all the kangs can send him into quantum realm then thay can interfere, what if antman made deal with one kang in start but deal changes withing minutes and kangs behavior too, coz he might be different one form future movies, I wanted them to treat kang and time like they did in Watchmen tv show,
I agree with the modok part even tho I knew he was like legit a murderer. I feel like it would make complete sense that he made a complete, albeit reluctant, 180 about the whole being a villain thing considering the shit that happened to him. His whole character arc was kind of similar to a sort of childish rebellious phase where all the evil shit he was doing was out of revenge. The only thing that fueled his engine as a villain was that, and you could even attribute the thing that happened to him in the quantum realm as a kind of consequence for his actions that more or less straightened him out.
Obviously he isn't suddenly some pure hearted, wise guru. THAT wouldn't make sense. It's more just that he was kind of done being evil, like the entire body dismorfing thing paired with being stuck in the quantum realm as a lacky for a pretty abusive boss was the universe's way of giving him more than just a slap on the wrist. It's like if I was pretty angry with someone and became vengeful and did evil shit based on that emotion then suddenly all that shit happened to me, I think I'd be pretty done with the whole vengeance thing myself

M.O.D.O.K. is supposed to be as dangerous and smart as Kang. Would be interesting if they both had different reasons to be who they were. Like M.O.D.O.K. was made in a lab to be tested on for formulas.
Kang could be trying to actually put the Multiverse out of its misery, cause Dr. Doom is gonna fuck up reality to get what he desires out the universe.
Trying to humanise kang is the worst decision the MCU made with Antman. Kang is a bloody glorified serial killer, he does NOT care about the flow of time or the stability of the fkn universe. He’s literally just a dude who gets off on conquering 😂
