I learned how to drive on our santro manual ,but it's 13yrs old so we (family ) went to buy a new car. I suggested nios amt,but they brought celerio amt 2022. My thoughts:- maruthi is meant for mileage only,no riding dynamics,no fast curves ,no enthusiastic driving at all , especially on cheap cars( 7.75l is not cheap😂). The amt on maruthi is also tuned for mileage. Therefore i use it in manual mode only. Now i get the comfort of both,i shift gears,no clutch. Down shifts are done by the car. Quiet convenient. So if you are worried that amt will be jerky, i am done as a driver,then no. There's manual mode on almost every amt ,except on kwid. I think imt is most suitable for me ,but the thing is ,as ashir bro said , reliability is still under check,also hyundai is doing something conflicting to my thoughts. As of my knowledge,imt is cheaper than amt .so if they offer imt on entry level cars,they can reduce cost and still can give comfort of automatic. But dont know why they are offering imt on higher trims of costly cars...
Wet DCT helps to keep the gearbox temperatures under control and will solve the over heat issues in DCT gearboxes. Only comment on Altroz DCT and HBX after the test drive
Good informative videos. Regarding fuel efficiency, Intially I was hesitate to buy ecosport AT due to this nagative. In fact I have asked about this in first google meet. But in real experience it gives 13 to 15 KM in town and gives 15 to 18 in state high ways. So far I have driven only 1200 KM and I got the max fuel efficiency 18.3KM from Karaikudi to madurai around 60 to 80 KM speed smooth driving. With AC it down 2 to 3 KM from this range. So far I'm happy about mileage issue on automatic.

Go for diesel variant it’s only 20k more than petrol of titanium variant. AT maintenance cost will be little bit more. U can check in ford official website for service and maintenance cost
Informative video. In general DCT/DSG gearbox is quite fuel efficient, infact I've personally experienced it in VW cars. The mileage figures are quite similar/near to the Manuals.
@Bharani Dharan If fuel efficiency/long drives are your priority then i20 diesel is preferred. Turbo petrols are more sensitive to throttle inputs and will return good mileage only in the highway runs.
@Bharani Dharan You are going to spend your hard earned money so please do a personal test drive of both the vehicles and decide. Request the dealer to provide longer test drives in city and highways, so that you'll be able to feel/understand the vehicle more. I20 diesel has only manual transmission where as 1.0 Turbo Petrol offers iMT and DCT. So choose according to your convenience. In my opinion, Diesel does best of both worlds. The torque in the mid range of diesels are addictive than the turbo petrols. If you do long distance touring, Diesels are the best companion. It returns better efficiency during high speed cruising and bumper to bumper traffic. Turbo petrols return single digit fuel efficiency in the city and offers decent efficiency, much more smoother driving experience in the highways.

Go for diesel variant it’s only 20k more than petrol of titanium variant. AT maintenance cost will be little bit more. U can check in ford official website for service and maintenance cost

Informative video. In general DCT/DSG gearbox is quite fuel efficient, infact I've personally experienced it in VW cars. The mileage figures are quite similar/near to the Manuals.

@Bharani Dharan If fuel efficiency/long drives are your priority then i20 diesel is preferred. Turbo petrols are more sensitive to throttle inputs and will return good mileage only in the highway runs.
@Bharani Dharan You are going to spend your hard earned money so please do a personal test drive of both the vehicles and decide. Request the dealer to provide longer test drives in city and highways, so that you'll be able to feel/understand the vehicle more. I20 diesel has only manual transmission where as 1.0 Turbo Petrol offers iMT and DCT. So choose according to your convenience.
In my opinion, Diesel does best of both worlds. The torque in the mid range of diesels are addictive than the turbo petrols. If you do long distance touring, Diesels are the best companion. It returns better efficiency during high speed cruising and bumper to bumper traffic. Turbo petrols return single digit fuel efficiency in the city and offers decent efficiency, much more smoother driving experience in the highways.
