Generic Villager what are you on? If you’re on Xbox 1 or anything other than PS4, nevermind, but I tried what you were talking about with the drugged water on PS4, and it removed the dehydration penalty bcuz it hydrated me. Also, I believe the Dogmeat glitch was patched on PS4 bcuz that doesn’t work anymore either for me. Shame really. It was so much easier than using the conveyor belt. I can’t get more than about a 30% success rate with the conveyor belt method. The one with Dogmeat was easier to get the timing right. I had probably a 95% success rate with that.
I couldn’t get it to work. The cursor moves down to the book, but it still scraps the item above it. The conveyor belt method still works though and everything else to increase the SPECIAL stats to the 20s still works. Maybe you need an update or something for this to work, considering I haven’t done an update probably in over a year.
Thanks for your comment and advise. I am able to get the belt to work but by combining Dogmeat and the belt. I personally find using the scrap special book method a little more easier. I basically take the book with me and just scrap it when ever I want a little boost.
The hard part here is getting the book into a scrappable state, once you do that then you can do this whenever you want. It's pretty broken but totally worth doing.
@@z304legend Yeap that's true as you just duplicate the book. The downside however is that you need to setup the entire traction and anything you want to do it, you do need to set it up. I guess you also need the DLC. But it is a valid way of doing it certainly.
Or you could do the machine glitch. Dupe up to roge of them or more. Place on the machine and it's tread as its about to go in you grab it if you're good at it you can get five or more points fast
Yeap that's absolutely right. I am sure that it still works and works well, the issue I always had that it never really worked for me. I could never get the timing right myself. Still, the best thing about this one is that you don't need the DLC and once you do it once, you can carry the book around and do it whenever you want. It's just a one time stepup and your ready to go.
@@TrappedInFallout no really man you can go fast as long as you got it down. You stand back look at the dark spot but make sure at least 7-14% of your square in the middle of your screen is on the belt that's the sweet spot. READ for more stats. . I took a fury and other two drugs plus the alcohol to lower stats then used special books I then went into survival and lowered stats as far as possible then brought them back up to ten then I just used a fury to lower my per and I was able to use the books to rise it again then use the other drugs either one at a time or all then after that make sure you have party boy/girl then drink some alcohol then use the books.
Hey man if you read this anytime soon I was wondering are there anymore items I can use to lower my stats down? Besides fury, daddyo, day tripper and alcohol
Forgot to use dirty wastelander instead of whiskey so I'm at (+) 24 not 26. But sadly all my stats are 18,+24,22,17,24,+16,19. Time to get the drugged water to dupe then stack! Lol I wanted 20 intelligence but I'm ok with 24
Typically it's mostly consumable items like drinks and drugs. You can also look at clothing items also that reduce your stats too. Anything really that helps to reduce your specials to at least 9 or below.
If this glitch works thanks man I can now raise my intelligence up to ten then max is 30, I think. I had it at 4 for the perk but now I don't need to worry anymore
Yeap, it works. I have had almost all my specials at 20+ as base stats and have also been able to boost them further with armors etc. But yes, it is entirely possible to do.
@@TrappedInFallout I don't think I can get all my stats to 20 unless I'm using some type of armour and clothes. Still having intelligence at 22 isn't bad now.
I think it true. Even if you manage to get all your specials to the high 10s or low 20s, even then it's not usually enough to turn you into a god. That said, it helps alot.
@@TrappedInFallout It definitly is an accomplishment finding Out those mechanics, so props for that. I still don't think those glitches are practical tho. There is just no point to go into such effort to cheat. Only ppl who might find this anywhere near useful could bei some speedrunners doing some crazy category. For everyone else there are so many easier ways to cheat which also are way more time efficient. Besides Special points actually don't impact very much in earlier levels. Later on, with the right perks and good gear, they are pretty important ofc. Cheating them into insane heights only accomplishes that drugs, drinks and food become useless tho. So that would be good for grinding some Caps on early lvls yet as said before, if one wants to cheat, there are easier ways.
@@projectshadow2397 Agreed, there are certainly easier ways. But perhaps this particular one will be more helpful to anyone who is not able to use said easier ways such as using mods or having access to console commands.
Sure, can do. For the moment anything like alcohol or any drugs. Also, other items such as clothing or radiation damage. Anything really that will reduce stats.
That's right, once you roll it back you won't be able to use Survival mode anymore. You can still continue to use other stuff like chems, drinks etc to help reduce your stats but for the most part no more buffs from survival. That's said, once you do it once, you won't really need to do it again as the debuffs are always the same.
About those special bobleheads,,,, get all stats at lvl 10(or higher) get one of those bobleheads and you have it on lvl 11 do this with all those bobleheads to get all stats lvl 11 legit. Use the boblehead on a stat lower as 10 and you wont get it at 11.
Ah, I see now. So you need all stats at 10 and only then when you use a bobblehead it bumps to 11 otherwise it's capped at 10. I had no idea about that one at all, thanks so much for sharing.
@@TrappedInFallout Yeah thats what I meant. And its legit. I fyou somehow can lower your stats whtout going to survival mode. and you have all stats on lvl 10, you can use points on those stats again legit. After that do the survival trick and then the boblehead. You can have a few of those stats easily at lvl 19 or so legit too. Lol than all your clothing armor that have special stats and you can reach lvl 30 on some stats. legit again.
@@HermanBogaers This feels like a great set of tips which when used together will heavily increase the Specials. I may make a dedicated guide for this specifically. Thanks so much for sharing the advice, I really appreciate it.
@@TrappedInFallout Nice idea, but yesterday i found out that if you spent just points on special points you cant lower those or make them higher again. You can do that only by duplicate the book. there is a combined dogmeat and contraption trick to dupli the book works easie.
What. You saying make sure you stats are at ten before getting the bobblehead? if this is what you're saying then I would assume everyone knew this lol
2:08 so do you need to compound or can you just wait more. Like can you 1. Wait until your stats are low 2. Use the book to get your stats bsck to 10 3. Wait more Or is there a maximum amount that gets taken away if you wait meaning you need to compound with drugs, alcohol, and clothing? Basically is ther a theoretical max you can get by using the right clothing, drugs, alcohol, and debuffs or can you just keep waiting, pulling your stats down, and using the book to rasie them up.
As far as I know you can compound ad many negative traits as you can think of. Thing like chems, food, clothing etc. Anything that will reduce your stats will all compound.
@@TrappedInFallout okay I see how it works. I wasn't sure if not drinking, eating, and sleeping brought all stats down to 0 but it just applies a dubuff to a maximum amount. Something I also noticed is if you are encumbered you also get a dubuff that lowers stats.
Any interest in making a video with the max special stats you can get with this? I haven't seen it documented anywhere all the negative buffs you can stack to get the best stats. Stuff like dirty wastelander, vim, etc. You can also dupe drugged water for inf perception.
It's not a bad idea, yeah I can look into it. I have already started working on this week's video so probably not this week. Not sure when though but yeah I can look into it. Thanks for your suggestion.
I'm sorry for so many comments. Seriously that survival thing is sad .. see I never lefted survival been in it since day one but I never knew that and I gotta say it should be a real time reset like after a week the survival setting will reset for those wanting to go back into it
I understand but at the same time since it's not effected you then is it a big thing. For instance, some may have switched to survival mode mid game and realised that it's just not for them and then switched back. In fact when you do switch, the game does tell you about this. Just imagine playing any game that is just too hard, would you rather have the option to switch back and not be able to play that mode anymore but play the game or be stuck in that setting which would eventually force you to restart? It's a tricky one but I think it's a great way to tease players and force their hand also.
@@TrappedInFallout I'm talking about myself not others and it only tells you this if you read the thing. It should pop up as you're about to go into survival but it doesn't.
@@z304legend I am sure that it does. When you switch back from survival, I think it does tell you that you won't be able to switch back. But it's a fair point also, it's not very clear from the get go.
Hey Mo! Would really enjoy/appreciate some more Fallout 4 videos, no matter how "redundant" or "repetitive" it may seem. In other words, IDC if others have covered it or not. I want one of my favorite Fallout RUclips creators to cover it, that being you Moe. Is there an "e" in your name? 🤔
Hey Tunzo, thanks so much for your lovely comment. I have been on RUclips for a couple of years now and I think your the first person so say that I'm one of your favourite Fallout content creator, thanks you so much for that. To answer your question, yes I intend to make more Fallout 4 content. I actually have a lot to say and share about Fallout 4 and I am trying my best to fit it in. I'm basically covering FNV, FO3 and FO4 all at the same time. I am currently 'trying' to make 3 videos per week and I am trying to balance it all. About two weeks ago I was only making 1 video a week so its a bit of a shocker. But I am trying 😉👍
If the player wants to increase attributes to absurd levels (30), what is the easiest and fastest method you suggest? I'm thinking about playing F4 again on the PS5 as long as I can explore this attribute system. I'm too rusty - and lazy - for everything.
The only way to increase your specials is to first reduce them. And them invest as much points as you can. So if you can get them to 10, then bring them back down to 1 and boost then. Next, repeat that again and when you clear your status it should be pretty high level. However, it's not going to be a quick process.
@@TrappedInFallout Thx. Uh, and another objective question: I researched this, but I didn't come up with anything concrete. Do you think Bethesda intends to create an "enhanced" version of Fallout 4 next gen soon?
@ikarikaoka Personally I don't think so. Fallout 4 is the latest offline Fallout game and there are a bunch of others that could be remade/remastered. I think it all but officially confirmed that we are going to get a remastered FO3 next. Not sure what follows that.
Are you sure about that? I was using this glitch literally last night and had no issue. Did you checkout the linked video to this video has high shows how to convert the book into and scrappable object?
Yes your absolutely are. You won't be able to jump twice though. You can go easy, survival and back to easy. But I don't think you can go back to survival again.
Yes, it does. Using the method of scrapping the Special book and using survival debuffs and other items you can get all your base Specials really high. Mine are around minimum 15 each using this method.
As long as your able to reduce your specials below the 10 value then you can bump them up with boosts. So if you have 11 then you need to get that special down to 9 and then you can bump it up.
You can perform the scrap as many times as you want. But you will only be able to raise your stats probably up to around 15 each, maybe a little more. Since there are a total of 7 specials and on average you can have everything set to 4 when you start, I would say around 6 for each to get them to 10 and then maybe another 5 for each with reduced stats. So in total (6 + 5) * 7 = 77. That would be my guess.
You can dupe the item as many times. Weird that you're asking this as isn't duping a item shouldn't be allowed so then duping as many as you want is the same so go for it lol. I'm sorry some comments on this video are a bit eh. Not trying to be rude here just funny
2ne comment. This is amazing I'm going to do this now. I enjoy fallout games but fallout 4 is by far the lamest one so I buy creation things to spice it up. I love playing this gamepit mods but once I finish getting all achievements I'll be doing mods. Only need 3 more achievements
Hi Flazo, the scrap option only appears on the book after you have first attached it as a modification to a weapon. That's the bases of the glitch, doing the initial steps converts the book into a standard item which you can later scrap.
@@BotoMunchah808 I actually did not do much experiments but I think there are some differences such as better defense, maybe better charisma chances, I'm not too sure myself. But maybe there are no real differences and it's all just too subtle.
Hey Nawf, nope it's not been patched (yet). It's still working. The only way to scrap the book is to first perform the book scrapping glitch which then converts the book into a scrappble object. It's actually a new glitch in FO4 and is explained in my video here: ruclips.net/video/w0pvdgkupCA/видео.html
Dam,in my op world,i had a level of 173 ,but i dont have a special book, i misplaced it somewhere, meaning i can't surpass my special,i play on ps4,and my only hope for someone to make a mod to help me find or locate all my items and where i placed,so i can load back to my og save and do the glitch 😢.
Sadly there is no easy way to find it and I really would not recommend that you start over or anything like that for the sake of this glitch. This glitch is to basically help any new game get an advantage. If your at level 273 then chances are your already OP so you should be good to go. I suggest you try this out on your next playthrough.
I can only do the first part. But the store and scrap is impossible for me. I’m playing on console. I can only do one function at a time. Scrap or store. Both options doesn’t work. 😢
Sorry to hear your having issues. It's all about timing sadly. Firstly you don't do it at the same time. You press and let go of the scrap button and then as soon as you let go of the scrap button you have to press and hold the store button. If don't right then that should do the trick. I hope that this helps.
This usually happens when your playing the game in a different language. The letter used in the weapon should be a letter that is close to the name of the book. So if the name of your special book starts with O, then you may want to try N or n. I hope that this helps.
@@TrappedInFallout so if I understood it correctly since the book starts with a Y in English you have to use a x in English I think mine starts with a D so I would have to try it "over and over again" with s,c,f,r and e correct? And do they have to be lower case?
@@TrappedInFallout I did try changing to every other latter in the alphabet without success BUT I changed the console language to English, which booted the game in English and when I tried it with the lower case X it worked Tldr; this glitch is a English language only glitch
@@Noobieliciouz In theory yes. Higher case letters should world better but I would just try the single letter that is before the name of your book. That should hopefully do the trick. Best of luck.

You may still be right, it might be something that does not work in your chosen language but works in others.

Why bother with lowering your special points in survival, just use the scrap glitch without that other stuff. Basically wasted like 4 minutes just to show the glitch
The point of reducing your special stats is that when you get to negative number, if you use the special book after, you will be able push all your special stats above the maximum mark of 10. In turn your charisma will be more successful, you will get mor XP, you will have more HO etc.
Not entirely, its part of the game design and it is designed to make you think about your actions. I do agree that it would be nice to go abck whenever you want but at the same time it's also designed to somewhat force you to think about your gameplay in the long term ha ha.
Wait what? Did this imply someone else made this video as I never knew about this. Technically it's better if it's made by multi folks that way more people see it. I mean Bethesda kind of gave up at this game after they released it so why not do this stuff but if you want make a separate save so if you ever want to go back go back

@Trapped In Fallout LOL, That's awesome, I'm definitely going to try both these glitches, how did you figure the scrap the book glitch? It always amazes me how people find these glitches!
@@goblintacos88 Ah, well I can't take the credit for that. Seth found it and told me about it and I did my own experiments and then made a video for it. I could be mistbut I think my video might be the first video on RUclips showing the glitch. From that point of view it's really nice to be part of history ha ha.
@Trapped In Fallout That's awesome!
@@goblintacos88 Yeap, it's a great glitch and hopefully it's one for the books too 👍
This is really cool, I like how you just chill and wait. Any other way to reduce stats other then drugs and items etc?
Yes, there are certain clothing you can wear also that will reduce your stats as well as conditions such as radiation.
Very cool way to break these special skills buddy! Very nice guide video!😃🤘
Thanks so much Reckless, I really appreciate that. It's a pretty awesome glitch.
Lol I wanted 20 intelligence but I'm ok with 24
Yeap, your absolutely right. I did make a mention of this but anything that reduces your specials under the value of 10 works.
Typically it's mostly consumable items like drinks and drugs. You can also look at clothing items also that reduce your stats too. Anything really that helps to reduce your specials to at least 9 or below.
@@TrappedInFallout yeah I think only one maybe two pieces of clothing do that and I don't normally pick up clothes items that debuff your stats lol.
Simple answer without even watching the video: No it doesn't, if you don't want to go overboard and actually break it.
Can you come up with a list of items you could use to drop special stats down?
Sure, can do. For the moment anything like alcohol or any drugs. Also, other items such as clothing or radiation damage. Anything really that will reduce stats.
After you do the glitch and turn back the difficulty, how would you go back in and redo it? Since survival isn't available?
Fallout is way more fun bcuz of u, like ur videos man!
Oh wow, thanks so much for saying that Vault Boy. I really appreciate it. I do my best and hopefully my videos will continue to help going forward.
2:08 so do you need to compound or can you just wait more. Like can you
1. Wait until your stats are low
2. Use the book to get your stats bsck to 10
3. Wait more
Or is there a maximum amount that gets taken away if you wait meaning you need to compound with drugs, alcohol, and clothing?
Nice video Moe.
Thank you so much Rony, I really appreciate your support.
Do the book a shit ton of times with perception and then maybe you will be as good of a shot as raul
Raul is awesome, there is no measure to the ghoul. And yeah, just maybe lol.
Sadly, update made it you cant scrap the book anymore. There was a combination with a knuckles mod to make it scap again. Idk how cant find the vid
Are you sure about that? I was using this glitch literally last night and had no issue. Did you checkout the linked video to this video has high shows how to convert the book into and scrappable object?

You're allowed to upgrade to Survival mode after starting at a lower mode?
Yes your absolutely are. You won't be able to jump twice though. You can go easy, survival and back to easy. But I don't think you can go back to survival again.
Great stuff.
Thanks Chad, appreciate it very much bud.
So does that dupe method work in other words with the special book just looking to get all stats to 10 not trying to break the game or anything
Yes, it does. Using the method of scrapping the Special book and using survival debuffs and other items you can get all your base Specials really high. Mine are around minimum 15 each using this method.
What happens if i have 11 in all special because of the bubbleheads ?
As long as your able to reduce your specials below the 10 value then you can bump them up with boosts. So if you have 11 then you need to get that special down to 9 and then you can bump it up.
How my times can you do the scrap glitch on the SPECIAL book? 70+ times?
That's great, I hope that you enjoy using this one.
bro i cant do it on ps5. the scrap option is just not available
Hi Flazo, the scrap option only appears on the book after you have first attached it as a modification to a weapon. That's the bases of the glitch, doing the initial steps converts the book into a standard item which you can later scrap.
Made a character called “no fun” did every broken exploit you know my special stats are all at 20 lol
Ha ha. Tell me something, do you find the game easier with all your Specials at 20 or is it more or less the same?
@@TrappedInFallout I mean when you have 10 special stats for everything there really is no point or difference

Sadly there is no easy way to find it and I really would not recommend that you start over or anything like that for the sake of this glitch.
When I do the scrap book glitch it shows me steel instead of the book. Is it fixed or am I doing something wrong?
This usually happens when your playing the game in a different language. The letter used in the weapon should be a letter that is close to the name of the book. So if the name of your special book starts with O, then you may want to try N or n. I hope that this helps.
@@TrappedInFallout so if I understood it correctly since the book starts with a Y in English you have to use a x in English

@@TrappedInFallout I did try changing to every other latter in the alphabet without success BUT I changed the console language to English, which booted the game in English and when I tried it with the lower case X it worked
