A Passion Play Extract recorded Live in Paris 1975. From 25th Anniversary Boxset: Disc 4, "Pot Pourri", Live across the World & Through the Years.
Ian Anderson: Vocals
Martin Barre: Electric Guitar
John Evan: Organ
Jeffrey Hammond Hammond: Bass
Barriemore Barlowe: Drums
This is Jethro Tull at its best, which means, the best band that ever walked on the face of the Earth. Ian´s voice is just unbeatable in this period.
Absolutely!!!
saw the Canadian version of this tour. This happened right off the top of the show. A fierce version of Wind Up (minus the quiet intro and extro) and then straight (no pause ) into The Play.
@@billmullan8265 Nice!
I think the same , Jethro Tull was the best progressive rock band ever existed, and during the 70s was unbeatable, to me above the others big bands of the prog rock, Passion Play is the best progressive rock album of the history .
@@javierllerena5756 Ditto! although Minstrel is my favorite, Tull was just epic in this period.
I saw Tull a good 15 times and Passion Play was my favorite Tull show!!!
nice to find some decent audio from a passion play, -the ultimate tull album for me.
A grrrrrrreat live version. Never heard him sing this piece any better.
Barlow’s Drumming is superb here!!!
APP was an amazing show...So talented...
Wow wow wow! Barre is brutal here!,,,,
Sadly one of the last times that JT performs live APP music.
This recording is from the 25th Anniversary Box Set
Correct. Dad used to blast this track at a deafening volume.
Is there this audio quality also in a video?
@@bateriaeletronica Supposedly the show was filmed - but nobody can find the video. Most of the audio was released on the Minstrel in the Gallery deluxe box set.
Fantastic!
Just so much fun
❤
Wheres the video godammit, this is the same show pro shot that the Minstrel video is on RUclips
I was at that show. And Ian Anderson made a big deal about the fact that the show was being filmed and that we were the chosen ones. To make a long story short, it was filmed with big old cameras and all. So the film exists somewhere. Why isn't released? Because nobody can make money out of that. That's that simple.
Has anybody heard a complete live version of this show?
l'intero concerto fu registrato e filmato.
@@piemontemagicoeinsolito3250 guarda bene... è il CD 2... ;)
@@gianlucaderossi7873 c'è solo una traccia di Passion, Critique Oblique..(heelp!)
@@piemontemagicoeinsolito3250 sì, poi accennano a The Story of the Hare, ma è solo un gioco per introdurre Aqualung....
Snarkiest lead vocal, that is overtly melodic yet demonic sounding....
This album got terrible reviews but it's probably nothing a little Freudian psychology can't explain.
The critics were terribly Intimidated by Ian's cod piece.
