People talk about guitar heroes with no idea of who and what Martin Barre was and still is…..A guitarist so far ahead of his time that it defies logic. The entire band was under rated and all were exceptional musicians. The dynamics between Martin and Ian was just sublime and both complimented each other perfectly.
It was sad at the end before Martin left how little contact he and Ian had. Just yesterday saw a video of the band doing an exemplary’Budapest. ‘ just saddened me to see Martin have such Little to no interplay with Ian.
thanks for the tull. i saw him once in miami. my father was a dentist and part time lead opera singer. one time he played die fledermouse. he looked like tull coming out of the curtains in a large cape "i am THE BAT" i hope to be able to chat w youj. music is and has always been my life
I recall Anderson swashbuckled onto the stage which was designed as a tall ship and then ripped into Something's On The Move. Although videos suggest they opened with North Sea Oil. Im not totally sure. He also did this thing I forgot (or did not notice from my seat) where he cuts the rigging with a sword and it comes down.
music isillegal Yes, and Ian's entrances were always very carefully plotted out, it seemed. Very effective, very much deserving of great applause. It was always such a huge a thrill. One always wondered how he would ultimately appear for each subsequent tour.
i watched a video of maddy prior fabled hare wheror you closed the comments due to ignorant people who gaveyou a hard time. thank you for your videos.who could not like maddy prior. i have loved pentangle, fairport especially sandy, steeleye span and every individuals from them all. maddy is still with us tthank god and kicking butt. i grew up in the us and hitched all around the country from one fest to annother. i love brittish folk. i also really like blackmores night. where do you live
This band will not make into rock & roll hall of fame it has one national hit tune being Aqualung . The band might be more famous in Scotland where it's folksy Scottish sound originates .
They have been and are famous in the U.S. as well. The alleged Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Has plenty of issues with their process. Tull, Alice N' Chains, King Crimson, just to name a few.
Bungle in the jungle as a hit. Locomotive breath and cross eyed Mary got a lot of airplay. And of course thick as a brick in top 5 list of all time best prog albums anywhere you look. Give it a listen, wonderful album.
Ian great composer, great performer. And the other members excellent.
Brilliant live band. Very good recording.
Brilliantly edited, terrific choice of photos, a labour of love. Thank you!

Tull were SO tight on this tour, a brilliant band
There has never been a live Tull band that wasn't tight.
1st tull show was this tour. Still the best tull show I've seen.
