@@kentuckyjim5108so is RUclips. The Ramsey app may not have commercials yet, but it will. Why else would they move their content to it? It wouldn’t make sense to move content from a platform that makes them money to one that doesn’t. It’s kind of like the drug dealers in movies, the first ones free, after that you’re going to pay.

Last month--Thanks viewers for making Ramsey #1 podcast. This month--Chops 40 minutes off podcast as “carrot” to get viewers to switch to app. Feels abusive . . .

@@Trustbutverify2651yes, for half a second. I didn't get one, but it was only around for about a month or so after it launched, I believe. Then we heard nothing more about it.

Taking 40 minutes of the show and hiding it away on a different app feels wrong. I feel soured on the show now. I’ll continue to watch bc Dave’s takes are unmatched but it won’t be the same. It’s Like your favorite band sold out

@@stosh6586, because they spent a bunch of money developing an app that no one wants. They're hoping to justify the app by forcing people to use it to watch the show.

I don't know what data you think you analyzed correctly to make you think having the 3rd hour only on the app was the right decision but i can assure you its not
JP does this with his RUclips channel as well - super annoying - they put the first part of the interview on RUclips and the last half hour on DW that they charge a premium for. But they do exclusive content, not more of the same stuff - this is just weird.
Trying to act like “Corporate America” is not a good thing. Forcing your viewers to download an app is such a bad business move. Promoting it, encouraging people to use it or having extras is how you do that NOT taking away more exposure to your brand! Don’t ever forget this simple saying “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”

Dave, old people don’t do apps. My parents think youtube is the entirety of the internet. If it’s not on youtube, it doesn’t exist. For the sake of your elderly youtube subscribers you may want to bring this back.
I do not like this move. The whole show should be on RUclips. Why the change? It’s a hassle to switch to the app for the last 45 minutes. Sorry, please explain.

That’s cool. I now have 40 more minutes every day to discover and consume other RUclips content.
Try out The Money Guys. They are fantastic. They're extremely knowledgeable about investing, retirement, etc. and do deep dives. They're both CFPs.

This is beyond disappointing. Dave talks every day about how great they are doing because we, the listeners, are sharing the show etc. Now they punish their listeners... Ive listened for 20 years and listened every single day. This just smells like greed and really makes me look at the Ramsey organization in a whole new light.

As soon as you switch apps, it pauses the audio on the Ramsey app. If you want to do anything else while listening to the show - you can't.

Fix this. The scripture of the day is one of the best parts of this show. Now everyone who wont download the app is missing that. For some, it might be the only bible they ever read. This does not serve the Kingdom.

The app doesn’t cast to Chromecast so I can watch on my TV…why would I want to watch the first part of the show on my TV and switch to my tiny phone?

Not downloading another app and trying to find where the rest of the program is! Been binge-watching this the last few weeks, but may switch to something else!
You can watch a few episodes and learn everything Dave teaches. It’s a really simple program, and I would guess most viewers (like myself) just watch for the calls. No way I’m letting them sell my email address to watch a few more calls. Let’s see how long it takes before they realize this was a bad idea.
My disappoint is immeasurable and my day is ruined with these changes.

@@jeffreylong1478 Yea the live chat was pretty furious earlier too. People don't like change at the end of the day that's most of it. The only thing I'd ask for is transparency regarding the app, mainly how it generates additional income for Ramsey Solutions. Personally one of the reasons I try to limit the number of apps is because I'm not a big fan of companies collecting and selling my data. So will the Ramsey app be doing that? Because they would be able to potentially compile a lot of data about a very targeted audience.

Didn’t used to be commercials on RUclips, but they wanted more money. They won’t move everything to their own app without gaining some kind of revenue off it.

I am a 5 year + follower of The Ramsey Show. I listen to every episode the week it comes out. Just this week in an effort to promote your Ramsey Network App, you’ve taken the last 1/3 of the show and made it only available on your app. I do not approve of this change. I will be leaving 1 star reviews anywhere I can until the last 1/3 of the show is available on Apple Podcasts again. I am also an annual Ramsey Plus subscriber. I will be cancelling my subscription if the last 1/3 of the show is not available on Apple Podcasts. (It’ll take you a while to notice that though since my renewal isn’t for another 6 or so months). Please return the last 1/3 of The Ramsey Show to Apple Podcats or you are losing a paying customer.

Sooo…If you’re watching on RUclips, you have to switch over to hear the last hour on audio only on the app? That’s so disappointing. A lot of the debt free screams are in that last segment and now I don’t even get to see the people and their family which is one of the best parts of it 😢. I’ll probably just end up missing the last hour now. I don’t understand the point of this.

Not downloading another app, rooting for the full segment
So it was about a month or so ago that Ramsey was celebrating how many views the show was getting on multiple platforms. Now he makes you download the app to watch the 3rd hour? So much for thanking the viewership by forcing you to watch the show on multiple platforms now....
Agree with everyone else. The app is “free” but they get your email, probably a ploy for marketing. Smh he always boasts how much money he has why the need to have an app?!! Def won’t be downloading
With regard to the app - I don’t mind watching the entire show on the app, but PLEASE make it possible to pause during the live stream and return to the same spot later. I watch at my own pace during work. Right now, if I pause, return 30 minutes later and click play, it automatically moves me to the live feed rather than where I left off. That’s what makes the app a no go right now. Please fix that, and it’ll be fine.

@@jodydickson5713, that's not surprising. They're probably trying to feed video from a single server in Nashville. What people don't realize is that RUclips copies heavily watched videos onto many servers located around the world, so that everyone can access it very quickly.

Correct- it is not available in the App Store nor does the QR code work displayed at the end of the show.

Love you guys and you have changed my life. I was wondering why the show was shorter and I'm seeing in the chat that it's app exclusive now? Please don't do this. I watch after work on my MacBook while cooking dinner and don't want to use the app to stream.

I thought this Ramsey app crap only applied to RUclips. I can’t even get the last hour on Spotify. I hope enough people boycott this app business so that they stop the nonsense. Seems very greedy Mr. Ramsey. Are you not making enough on the 50 commercials per episode?
It's not greedy, because the app is free. It even lets you download things to listen offline. I tried it several months ago. That makes it even more bizarre, because on RUclips he doesn't have to pay for hosting and gets ad money. On the app, he has to handle all the traffic and there's no extra ads. I don't understand it at all.

I'm not a fan of everyone making their own app for things. I don't download them...I use browser sites or major podcast apps as much as possible. Wont be downloading the Ramsey app either. Sad to miss 1/3 of the show :(

Probably a money move. Dislike the videos and don’t use the app simple as that. Usually recommend the show to people but after this move not sure if I see the values/morals you preach to that extent. Instead of posting 1/3 of the video put the whole video and ask subscribers to use app and explain why it would help the Ramsey company but just straight up no heads up makes it seem a simple money move. Sad to see this.
Disliking and commenting so y’all get as much feedback as possible about this move to the app. I’ll keep listening to what’s available on podcast store but I’m not downloading the app. Hopefully yall will be wise enough to backtrack from this error.

I am not able to minimize the app segments like I can the RUclips videos so I can still see the video while multitasking on my phone. I can hear it but I prefer to see it!
It seems like Ramsey Show is soft launching thier new app and evading to be dependent in YT.
They moved the audio books to. So to listen to books I already purchased I have to download the app 😡
I watch these shows on my computer. I don't mind if I have to switch to a Ramsey platform to watch the 3rd segment but unless I'm mistaken, there doesn't seem to be a way to watch the rest on a computer since there is only a Ramsey app on IOS and Android. I think you can only listen to the entire show when using the website. This is very stupid unless you guys add it to the website or a Mac/Windows app...
Please go back to the way it was. No downloading here. Miss the quote and Scripture of the day. We are being cheated out of our time that we had with you all. Bad decision .
