@@twinmama16 Yep, seen it all too many times. 20 years apart in age. That is two completely different families and his father left his wife or vice versa and he is the one that paid the price for it. That son has been forgotten about. He is lucky he got anything at all. She really should share it with him if for no other reason to relieve the tension in her heart. If she feels he isn't worthy of it then she wouldn't be calling.

It’s like this everywhere. My coworker in Maryland, her rent is going up by $800 a month. So that night her and another coworker were looking in the area and there wasn’t much difference. I told her the same thing either get a raise or change jobs. It’s crazy
The man who is leaving most of his money to his adopted daughter has every right to. What pisses me off is when a man divorces and decides to distance himself from his son. He did that.
Dave and the caller don’t understand the pension. It’s a $48 multiplier right now meaning if he works there for 30 years it’s $48x30=$1,440 per month for rest of life paid out after retirement.
I have always enjoyed the show along with his on-site personalities. Its somewhat exciting to watch this "Ramsey Stuff" take a stronghold in today's society. From a business side, as Dave eases out, he is prepping his organization with very capable team members. I can see as Rachel takes on more of a leadership role, she may have to get more firm. But she is also very delightful, just cant see her ever dishing it out like Dave, but she is probably my favorite....sorry Dave!
1:28:00 Wish we knew someone like Lee. My husband is an owner op and wants to transition to brokering loads, but we don't know anyone who has walked the walk to feel secure enough to make the transition.
Not all pensions end when you die. Some can be rolled over to Spouse or children, in SC the state retirement you can split it between spouse/child for the rest of their life or one or the other
When a person gets disabled the student loan is forgiven so she won't have to pay it off. (It's like an insurance policy written into the terms of the loan.)
For the lady whose rent was going up from 1100 to 1700 a month for a 2 bedroom apt. What about getting a ONE Bedroom Instead of a two bedroom? I didn't hear any suggestions about that. Which would work good. Also, if the rent was lowered enough and you work at home in your living room anyways, so that might be better than trying to get a roommate for a year??😊
I know a situation where a child treats the parents horrible. The child acts extremely entitled as an adult and is constantly asking for "their inheritance" early. Joke is on the child though...this child's inheritance keeps going down the more they disrespect their parents.
Pace morby on RUclips made a vid “exposing Dave Ramsey” and only shows a clip of Dave saying to a caller that he should pay cash. Please do a reaction to that video! Also a video on Robert Kiyosaki’s advise.
IF pensions do not pass on to a beneficiary why do pensions ask you to name a beneficiary? My pension tells me that my balance will pass to my beneficiary........ Hummmmm. What am I missing?
I think it depends on the pension. Mine has a beneficiary as well, and what I understand is that the monthly payments pass on to that one beneficiary and then ends with them. So if you want the money to grow and pass on for more generations, you’re better off withdrawing the lump sum and investing it with your own financial advisor. Just my two cents based on what I know of my own. You’d probably want to talk to your pension people and a financial advisor to confirm how yours works.
@@Christine83507 Thank you. YES I have a beneficiary as well but I do not believe that I am able at this time to take a "lump sum" withdrawal even when taxed are paid on that sum withdrawn but I do believe that I can pass down MY monthly payments...... To the lady facing a 60% rent increase, I would suggest looking at if she's due for a raise or maybe she can negotiate something.
