    Wow you’re awesome, keep posting this type of videos. I’m a pinoy from toronto and I use to be an automotive tech and decided to switch career. I’m looking into I.T support as I have a bit of background in computer. But I don’t have the confidence to apply for a job because I lack experience. Your channel is helping us a lot to build our confidence, please keep em coming. Thanks. 👊

      @@EastCharmerAnother great video there! What ticketing system do you use? Is the Bomgar the same as BeyondTrust Remote Support? For someone trying to do career change, this is gold! Keep changing lives!
      This is outside of this video, but wanted to know your recommendation for a laptop brand with (with like say 500GB and 16GB RAM) that is not too much expensive for creating home labs for practice such as this video?

And yeah it's really understandable that most people don't wanna leave their families. You can check out ATOS and I'll let you know if there's other companies like that.

    Im shocked that I already knew how to do all this. I thought i was gonna get crazy complicated.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  11 месяцев назад

      Well these are just the common and kinda generic issues we get. It does get complicated with networking and system issues but that depends on what systems and infrastructure the company has.

    • @PooFace2030
      @PooFace2030 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@EastCharmer Yeah I would imagine so. I just thought it was gonna be super technical from the start. Good content on your channel. Its helping me alot.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  11 месяцев назад

      @@PooFace2030 oh I see. it gets technical too but it's mostly about systems and network that are probably not gonna be applicable to all IT positions, so I just made one that's more generic and also common tickets I encountered. Thank you and glad the channel is helpful. If you have suggestions on content please feel free to comment.

    For the first ticket, at my job we usually just reset the password, and not say/enable "password never expires".
    Users should often change their passwords for security reasons.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  11 месяцев назад +3

      Oh yeah it depends on the conpany policy too. We're under a global corporate IT that handles the policy and local IT just enforces that but we don't make the policy. In our company our minimum password character limit is 16 characters and users change it once a year. The longer the password it the harder it takes to brute force. So it really boils down to company policies. There's not just one way to fix IT issues. It always depends on the company and its users

    How many PEBCAK and ID10T tickets do you get, and how do you prioritize people with multiple ID10T and/or PEBCAK issues? These type of issues can arise on any type of system.

    general question: does your company want you to write down, how many hours or minutes you spend on a project or a worker? im an it and i want to know if thats too much or not.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hello. Well in my experience, our company doesn't really care how much time we spend on something as long as we get things done. They don't ask us to write down things like that so I think that's too much micro managing because instead of getting things done , you're wasting time documenting irrelevant things like that. Time should be better spent on maybe trying to improve your operations or learning new skills. The only time that our company cares probably is if the project is time sensitive but even then, they don't ask us to write down the hours.
