Love the feel of this remake of the Mt. Silver theme. Combined with the picture, it really works to make the theme more imposing than the original. Also, I feel a disturbance in the force, almost as if a million hikers noticed us from the distance and are making their way over here =p

gotta love the the uneasiness this song gives. Works so well with exploring the unknown of a mysterious mountain with no trainers on it....... that is until you reach its peak....
I was expecting to hear the bass intro like in hgss, but was pleasantly surprised with the the direction you went with. Then it hit at 0:59 and DANG!
The atmosphere the beginning creates is awesome. Imagine going through the interior of Mt. Silver with 0:00-0:58 playing as you navigate the caves. And when you take your first steps outside and and see the snow covered mountainside, 0:59 kicks in and you look up and see the summit.
You did an amazing job on this one!

If they ever made a Legends of Johto, I think Mt. Silver would either be inaccessible or would be like a LONG dungeon region with camps in between.

I never realized this but if you listen to this sped up it actually kind of sounds slightly like Cynthia's battle theme for some reason. I think Cynthia's team uses some of the same notes

That beginning portion sounds so unsettling at first, until the tone shifts to be more serious and grand since it’s the last explorable location in Johto. HGSS revamping most of Mt. Silver made reaching to Red for a tense battle more satisfying once you’ve gotten to the top, despite having to sacrifice some of your Pokémon’s move sets to fully explore this location can be a hassle. Good job on making this theme sound like a cinematic version based HGSS, but with some new dynamics to add more for the atmosphere of Mt. Silver.

Actually, just stumbled across what you may have been mentioning. It does have a very Similiar melody and follow up
A lone boy clad in the colors gold and black step towards the base of the mountain.
He does not falter or worry. Even as the massive towers of stone loom over him in the distance. Gusts of frigid air roll down the entryway he plans to take.
In spite of the eerie and frigid air, he is not afraid. He has defied the odds, this 10 year old. He triumphed over the 8 strongest warriors in his homeland, one of which was the new master of the ancient dragons den. He has tamed legendary beasts that had the blessing of the gods, and even found himself meeting one of said gods after earning the blessing of the mystics in the center of his land, Eckruteak city… And even prevented an evil widespread organization from returning.
The boy didn’t stop there. He took his challenge to the nation adjacent to his - one where competition and battling is all that matters to them. In that foreign land where people did not have the sanity and sanctity for life that he was used to, he used all the wit and strategy he could to survive.
He fought and fought. He defeated the elite four - the strongest from both lands - and even the champion. But he found that it was not the champion that was the hardest battle he had… But a gym leader who was formally the Champion of the region was the hardest battle he had on his journey.
“Yeah, your strong.” The gym leader name Blue told him. “I think you should climb Mr. Silver. It could be valuable for you”.
So there he was. It was effortless. His team members smoothly scaled the mountain. The pokémon there were stronger than any wild pokémon he had faced, sure, but none were comparable to any of the trainers that he faced in the foreign land he had just spent a year conquering.
But he continued to climb and explore, finding rare and valuable items that he could use to train and strengthen his team.
But surely Blue would not tell him to go for this. The boy continued to climb the frigid heights. Until he reaches the summit. Where one man stands, just a few years older than him.
The man in red, and the boy in gold. They stare into each others eyes, instantly assessing each others strength. Recognizing each others power. The boy in Gold knows immediately, with no exchange in words. He is currently staring at the summit of power. This trainer is the limit of humanity, without even trading one blow.
The battle was fierce. Adrenaline made it feel like forever, even if it was just an instant. The fight spanned across half the mountain range as the trainers showed off the true speed and strength of their epic team members, both blessed by the gods in their own right… One by the gods of nature, and the other by the god of life.
But the boy in Gold - he never stood a chance. He was launched back to the base of the mountain by pokémon far above his teams level, tempered by the steel and resolve of a journey far longer standing than his own.
This man in Red. He, in his stalwart silence, is the true champion of the region, the Boy in Gold surmises. But he does not lose hope.
The boy heads out to train and become to true master of power. He will not lose again. He will defeat the one true pokémon master - and he will prove he is the strongest in the land.
I had no idea what to expect from the title alone, but WOW you've outdone yourself again somehow!! This is gorgeous
If you speed it up its sounds like a really intense version of the sinnoh gym leader theme
This is easily my favorite theme from Johto and one of the greatest remixes I have ever heard of this theme.
