    Breathing Water is a skill book that increases your Alteration skill, not the alteration spell tome Water Breathing. Yes the names are confusing, but it helps explain why the argonian had it: to study of course.
    The fact that he was studying Alteration might also explain why he failed Illusions. Just a thought.

    My favorite explanation for the Dwemer mammoth is that the hunting party chased it into the river or lake that eventually became the ice flow of that glaciation, the other option I like is that it was buried in a snow slide which again became a layer in that glacial shelf worming it’s way to the sea

    27:30 I have a theory for this out of place structure. It’s a memorial, a marker for the dead. Maybe an alchemist based on the potions, or just a great warrior if that war-hammer is any indication. Whatever the reason, those artifacts were left as signs of respect like how we leave flowers at a grave. The body is buried underneath the structure.

    the winters gate is actually called "the great arch" as sourced by a less common DLC encounter event where a dawnguard courier is sent to restock a Dawnguard cache. I believe this only happens if you play as a vampire and you are in a specific region and specific point in the DLC quest. There is a note on their person listing cache locations, one "by the great arch in winterhold" or something to that effect

    I realize this is an older video and the comment may have already been asked, but could the spear of unknown origin at the end perhaps be a weapon of Riekling make used for large prey? You've managed to make the impossible seem 99.9% possible more times than I can remember and it's left me a very open-minded skyrim adventurer. I can only concretely remember the ones at the Dawnstar sanctuary, at the top of the stairs connecting the main entry/coffin/alchemy lab level and the kitchen. Those spears are pulled up while you go get Cicero so that you have to do the long walk around the entire sanctuary to reach him.

    I am so averse to the cold that I never, even in my 1000+ hours within the imaginary world of the Elder Scrolls, spent more time than I had to in frosty regions. Thank you for letting me experience this world second hand. #RiftRules.

      I’ve always wanted to explore the snowy regions, but as someone who uses frostfall, it’s not exactly easy. Although, there’s something about losing hope as you’re about to freeze to death, only to suddenly find a cave to seek shelter in. It’s an amazing and super immersive feeling. I’ll always prefer the rift though. #RiftRules

    one of the four old holds... I assume the others are Markarth (since it was built by the Dwemer), Windhelm (one of the first to be built by the Atmorans), and Whiterun (as evident by Jorvaskr which was built by Ysgramor's 500 Companions.)

    These always help me remember all those fun hidden places I forget about from Skyrim and make me want to play it again. Right now though I am playing through OBLIVION! Woot! I have missed that game so much! But NOT the piggies. (What I like to call the zombies due to the squee sounds they make)
    I bought a haunted house, joined a fighters guild, Im an Evoker at the College and nostalgia reigns this cold stupid winter.

      I'm replaying Oblivion too! Just got the Arcane Uni, halfway through the Dark Brotherhood and Kvatch is patiently waiting for me to give a fuck lol Also I forgot how broken (in a good way) the magic system is in this game.
      P.S WIlburger and his Autism Cat series is an excellent watch!

      @@prophetofbeans6781 OMG are you watching me? Jk. But I never start Kvatch until I have done *every damn side/misc/faction/daedric/Aaaaand freeform quest in the game* lol THEN I can be bothered with you ppl mmmmk? It just sits in stasis n waits patiently. I live for that shit. I am 1/2 through D.B. and Thieves. And 1/3 through college. I Always do mages first. I just made a "feather cap" tonight so I can stack it with the potion and the spell and get outta places with the wallpaper.
      I am making all the money doing the Black Bows with Mazoga, selling vampire ash to the Order, and selling Ayleid statues to Umbacano!
      If there was a good "club" in town and not just inns, I would be saying *Barkeep, drinks for everyone!!!*

      What race/play style do you use?
      My bread and butter is Argonian assassin (this time named Skoomer.) sadly very little skooma to be found. I haven't played this in almost a decade.

    • @Kattatonik7_yt
      @Kattatonik7_yt 5 лет назад +2

      @@prophetofbeans6781 yeah the only skooma I remember offhand is at the top floor house where they deal it and a few caves. I am a Breton mage this time which I have NEVER been in any ES game ever. Her name is Deth Fether (im Choctaw) Im usually a Dunmer, Khajiit, or Redguard. And always before this playthrough I am a rogue/sneak/thief type with light to mid level magic.
      This is proving a challenge but fun! I just hit lvl 13. Getting ready to play now actually! Gotta fake a death for the dark brotherhood. 😉💀☠

    • @shadysam7161
      @shadysam7161 5 лет назад +5

      If he actually does consider doing it, then he probably couldn't do Skyrim, maybe Daedric related areas, like the Oblivion realms. But if he does that, then I think it would be best for him to do ALL Elder Scrolls games.

    Hey Camel, just a thought, but when you said that Arkay should have sent somebody to kill the wisp mother if he had any power, he did. The gift of being a Dragonborn is a direct blessing from Arkay, whose true form is that of a dragon. Seeing as the Whispmother makes itself known to the Dragonborn as they approach the shrine, it isn't too outlandish a thought that Arkay somehow guided the Dragonborn there to cleanse his shrine without them realizing it.
    Just a thought though.

    Perhaps the spear is rusted and it could possibly be as you said an ancient snow elven or Atmoran relic as no cultures in modern day Skyrim that we know of use that type of pattern. Although I doubt it is of Atmoran make as Saarthal (one of the first Atmoran civilisations) doesn't contain any such design that I'm aware of.
