this is like national geographic for skyrim
boxdynomite3 Haha awesome analogy man!
Minus the racism NG used to have?
Joel Daggenhart I know right! 😭 I had just left school when this was released... now I’m engaged with my own place and career in the military. God damn I miss the simple life 😂
@ThreeToast Sloth skyrim is over 9 years old now
And here he have the dragonborn in his natural environment. The ultimate Karen shouting at everything. ......
22:50 i belive the guard was dropped by Odahviing when you summoned him with the shout during the main quest
Tyrion Lannister You are correct!
Well, this explains why he wasn't there when I went looking for him that one time with my baby Kajit. He hadn't dropped, yet.
Indeed
It’s been 7 years. What all has changed in your life? Graduated high school, then college? Start a family? Accomplish a life goal?
That knife and fork weapon thing...
Run around stabbing people screaming "You have displeased The Gourmet!" :P
In a chef outfit.
I take it you watched Tokyo ghoul
your body is raw
Walrus Mann
In Gordan Ramsey Voice - "Do you see that man ee's RAW. Ee's FUCKIN' RAAAAW"
Just letting everyone here know, it has been done already by mittin squad
You can actually meet a farmer that is bringing a marked cow to a giant camp
I know this is 3 years late, but that's actually a random-encounter, Milk! You can run into that farmer in almost any hold
Where and how
@@universalstudios2190 it's a random encounter, so you just have to walk around the map past certain hot-spots and the farmer and his cow might be there
Spoiler
Both farmer and cow dies
Mooooooovvvvvvvveeeeee
The fossil of the giant Mudcrab is actually part of a quest. Go to Froki's Shack in The Rift and he gives you a quest called Kyne's Sacred Trials. You have to defeat sacred animal guardians. If the quest is active, you can see the ghost of the guardian mudcrab when you approach the fossil which you have to defeat.
Nobody cares about anyone :(
i care about you random guy
Cerinex I care about you
A Random Guy and you, random guy
The cow at Candlecrush Rock can be seen with a farmer sometimes on the roads. If you talk to him, he says he is making a peaceful offering to the giant. I suppose this is to keep peace. How curious...
Seymour The Argonian And if you actually follow him you'll see a giant smashing the ---- out of the farmer and keeping the cow for himself... How curious...
Mendez Chief yup
There clearly is a lack of peaceful negotiation. Curious indeed...
Robot316Gaming It's Cradlecrush not Candlecrush
Whoops. Sorry
I think Moby the Mammoth is in reference too that one part in star wars when luke cut open an animal to stay warm. Assuming the mammoth didn't eat this person whole how would his whole body be perfectly intact. Skyrim is a cold place and perhaps this guy died huddled up inside it.
Han cuts it open, not Luke. And it's a Tauntan
@@michaelgoodwin80 This gave me a herd heart attack lol 😂
@@michaelgoodwin80 Listen, I’m a huge Star Wars fan too, but we all understood what he said. You don’t need to knitpick someone’s comment to give yourself a false sense of intellectual superiority because you “know more” about one of the most popular franchises in the world. He said an animal. I’m pretty sure what he curled up inside was an animal. Unless ya know, you wanna get really knitpicky and say it was a movie prop. And yea, sure it was Han but he used Luke’s saber and everyone was covered up in winter gear. I’m sure after a long time someone could misremember it as being Luke. Point being, don’t be a neckbeard dude
@@stuglife5514 you shouldn’t be pointing fingers at anyone for being a neck beard dude.
Just imagine playing as a cannibal character with only using the fork and knife as weapons...
TheDarksoul01 Hahaha holy shit, best build ever.
Camelworks i think there was an actual youtuber who did a skyrim build on that except they wore a chef outfit and called it the gourmet
+TheDarksoul01 Take the fork and the knife and put Namira's ring make them legendary so u can do more damage aaaand chase people and kill them and Namira watches u :)
Yep that what I do my legendary forks of fire and mighty chefs tunic with health regen and stamina regen best build ever(also namiras ring)
+King Zork also paralyze on the forks
I've come to the conclusion that only a genetic masterpiece such as Scott could have thrown that rock! Can't wait for that pizza! #nomargarita
I believe that due to the location of Cradlecrush Rock, The City of Vivec, and Sleeping Tree Camp, the rock fell from the floating island of Umbriel as it travelled from Vivec towards its destination. The line between Vivec, Cradlecrush Rock, and Sleeping Tree Camp is a little too straight to just be a coincidence.
@@vaevictus4637 or it is a meteor?
@@ruffneck45 probably
There is a curiosity you missed. It's the ruined house near The Western Watchtower.
Without context this looks like a nonsensical quote generated by AI.
"Cuz his light armour didn't do shit for him"
-Camel Works 2015
Light armor doesn't do shit for anybody.
A few minor corrections:
The giants do not worship the nine divines. Anything left at the shrines comes from pilgrims. For example, the speech skill book, the rolls of paper and the gold at the shrine of Zenithar are sacrifices to invoke Zenithar's guidance, as he is the divine of traders, bards and merchants.
Also, the dragon dropped guard is the guard that gets dropped by Odahviing from the balcony of Dragonsreach when you summon him during the main quest line.
The horse found at the skooma addicts smuggler's den just below Whiterun has become one of my favorite 'mapping tools' early in a new character run...if you steal it, you can ride it into many towns and cities and it doesn't appear as stolen to anyone. Also, if you dismount, it will return back to Whiterun, but at a walk, so you can easily sprint to re-mount it. Love your series, I subbed a few days ago and have been consuming every video you've got; many smiles and guffaws ever since!
Knife and fork as weapons? That'll go perfectly with the Ring of Namira.
Also, others may have pointed this out, but the cow being delivered to the giants by that one guy also has the Pl markings painted on it, if I recall.
Jeremy Cantrell yes, it does.
Jeremy Cantrell Thats the chef build, look it up.
I'll do that. Thanks.
@@LungsOutJem The marked cow is there both before and after you meet the farmer.
2:00 he was just sent to the air by the giant and ended up landing on that rock.pretty simple.
It took me three years to notice the skeleton in the pond around Dragonsreach. Spooked the shit out of me after I'd gone on a Whiterun murder spree only to find that fellow bobbin' around.
I did happen across something in my most recent playthrough you might be interested in though! If you check the table where that lady you can fight and recruit as a follower sit's at the Bannered Mare there's a note from Maven Black-Briar to a competitor or possibly an ex lover??? It mentions her and the man fighting over something or another only sorta vaguely hinted at, that she supposedly is over it (yea sure lady) and will be sending an escort to pick him up that night.....
My headcanon/theory is Maven don't take no sass and he's the unfortunate skeleman taking an eternal swim in the Dragonsreach pond.
I think it might be connected to a quest, I could also be completely wrong as I’ve only just started my my first play through since 2018.
At the smuggler’s den, if you open the locked chest a further group of 3-4 bandits appear to attack you
Someone may have already said this but for the last curiosity, it may have come from the Red Mountain erupting, judging by the direction the trees are facing the rock came form the East, hence Morrowind.
In the "Kyne's Sacred Trials" quest, given you by an hunter, you have to kill various "Guardian Beasts" all over Skyrim, they appear as ghosts and one of the guardian is exactly the spirit of the Fossilized Giant Mudcrab found in that exact spot (8:05).
Punto Sbarazzino
i have never heard of this quest. 0.0
***** You need to go to the Froki's Shack and speak to Froki in order to trigger the quest. c:
Look for the shack where an old man and a young boy lives.
messedupdweeb Wait, I just went into Froki's shack, and there's only one bed...
Archie B that dirty old man...
It's been awhile, but I think the giant mudcrab is part of a quest from the hunter Froki in the Rift (if you remember the little kid Hamming from Helgen whose dad got roasted by Alduin, Hamming is Froki's grandson.)
27:16 That cow it's not the only one with the tribal painting, it's a random encounter, but you can find a guy walking with an alive cow painted like that and if you talk to him he will say that the cow is an offering for the giants. The cool thing is that he could be or not be killed by the giant upon offering the cow, that's random too.
I love this series so much.
And as for the 4th skeleton amongst the dead conjurers, skeletons and graves-
I like to think that the 4th skeleton belong to some sort of bounty hunter, or sellsword who set out to try and hunt down and kill the conjurers. Needless to say, he did not get very far, and his body was simply chucked "behind the bushes" so to say.
mpg272727 "YOU'RE IN THE BUSHES" Congrats if you get the reference (Bench Warmers)
Nah, the conjurors still had flesh. Whoever it was died long ago. Best guess I have is that the graves might have contained more than one person per plot. Something that isn’t totally unheard of, especially near battlegrounds.
I have a theory for the knife and fork.A man was having dinner on the bridge when the Greybeards called for the dragonborn.Upon their calling, the bridge shook and threw the knife and fork onto the rock. The man you ask,was thrown into Imperial City
That or a greybeard shouted him off for trespassing lol
Astral Trinity They shouted at him for having dinner on their domain.Greybeards for life
21:00 It's Shia LaBeouf's fork and knife :D
Omg.
SHIA SURPRISE
Victory The Lamcik™ SHIA SUPRISE
Actual cannibal Shia LaBeouf
Good god...
The giant mudcrab is Kyne's mudcrab guardian. That's where you go to fight it during the quest to kill all the guardian spirits for Kyne.
CRADLECRUSH! not Candle- Cradle.
Sorry, it bothered me.
Candycrush Rock :)
Yeah, it was driving me up a wall too!!!! CRADLEcrush, NOT CANDLEcrush.
18:40 These ruins are most likely the last remnants of Nimalten City (look up "Skyrim map in TES: Arena"). There are actually ruins (albeit mostly just some deteriorated pillars and blocks) in many places in TES:V which were locations in the "Arena" game. I guess this would be an idea for a video to show and visit these locations. I believe there is even a mod which puts markers on them.

Fought Karstaag. Had Vilkas. Vilkas tried to be bad ass. Got sent to space. 30 seconds after I beat Karstaag Vilkas walked through the door. He was so much help.
+Camelworks 16:16 Maybe it's vanished because of the Lund's wife couldn't go to Sovngard without Lund. And she came to his dream and then he killed himself. But he loved skewers so much and because of that he too couldn't go to Sovngard. So maybe that's why the hat vanished. It was the meaning of the Lund's wife can't go to Sovngard
+Camelworks the giant mudcrab was just greedy...probably ate some adventures..and a giant
+Camelworks SORRY FOR DA SECOND COMMENT BUT THE MARKINGS ON THE COW SHOW ITS AN OFFERING...(sorry caps) a random encounter i got was a man and a cow like that taking it to the giants so they left them alone...they said i could not come along
Camelworks Usually i love ur vids, but this one was kinda boring...
In the last curiosity the rock might have been what is called a dead fall trap. That is where something very heavy is proped up with a trigger to release the weight with bait on the trigger
22:45 that may be the guard that the dragon picks up and drops in the main quest
it is
I would love to see this redone in your more recent style of video
I'm pretty certain the rock in Cradlecrush Rock was from the eruption of the Red Mountain in 4E 5. That's where we got the Sleeping Tree Camp from, which is also a giant's camp. I think the trees are in the right place as well.
Maybe Moby the Mammoth didnt eat the person. Maybe the person found Moby's bones, and went under them for shelter, and died there. Just a guess
+aaron123ninja gaming It's an 'Empire Strikes Back' easter egg, isn't it?
That's what I thought too.
And I thought these things smelled bad on the outside!
Probably trying to hide or be protected from a predator.
Looking back to this, you've come a long way, Camel!
In 16:34 I think they are skooma dealers. If you open the locked chest it will appear more bandits.
There is also a note to read that talks about the skooma trade.
The Skeleton in the water under the Dragonreach bridge has a simple in game explination. One of the various letters and notes inMaven Black-Briar's rooms indicates she had someone killed and the body disposed of there.
Wow, I love this series! So many things I had never encountered or completely passed over in other playthroughs. Thanks for the great video!
For Falkreath or Markarth (not sure which) there is a circle of mushrooms to the east of Bilegulch Mine. PS. This is my favorite series on RUclips!
UberNerdGaming Thanks man I think there is 2! We will see them soon :)
"smugglers den is inhabited by 2 bandits"
meanwhile in my save my genesis bugged out and theres about 30 of them there
This is possibly my new favourite series on RUclips
Shaun Fraser Thank you so much man, more will come :)
The Candlecrush Rock is a "flyttblock" or, "jättekast" in old Nordic mythology. When the ice of the ice age melted, it left behind huge rocks scatterd around the country side. The old nords believed they were thrown by angry giants(jättar).
Greetings from Sweden
"Light armour didn't do shit for him" haha my sides hurt
4 years of time spent playing skyrim, and yet I have seen maybe 10% of the things in this video
beekepr1 Awesome, love to hear that man! Glad I can show you something new :)
4 years? Noob
@@Kostadin_Arolski This old game was old 4 years ago lol
@@Kostadin_Arolski reading comprehension, not your skill. His comment is 5 years ago. This means he played every year for the first 4 years.. noob
I disagree with Mobi the mamoth simply because a mamonth cant swallow a human it must chew it first and we can see a whole intact skeleton inside him so I believe it was put there after the mamoth was dead OR maybe someone tried to hide in the carcass of a dead mamoth to shelter from a snowstorm or very cold weather but unfortunately he or she died because of the cold.
PS I love the serie!
Arsen Schultz The human must have crawled up his ass.
Camelworks Maybe, who knows? :D
Or maybe the mammoth fell on top of them...
Isaac Baker Hhahahaha, I hope you mean fell backwards ;)
Camelworks Lol, anyway the teory of a mamoth eating a human is wrong because mamoth were herbivores :)
With the cow... its actually not the only one. In a random encounter you can come across a farmer being followed by a cow with the same markings. If you talk to him he will tell you that he is offering the cow to the giants so it will leave his farm alone. Now if you follow the farmer to the nearest giant camp, the giants will attack the farmer and send him flying and the cow will be unharmed
bloody box... god dammit camel....
Black Metal King Hehehe
Black Metal King oh god.....
I believe the those shrine we place by merchants before entering the city to do business. Since Whiterun is the center for trade and Zeninthar is the patron of commerce and wealth.
AzulGatos41 That is a pretty good explanation.
Camelworks Thank you. I know a thing or two about skyrim.
The cows with markings are offerings from farmers. They offer a "sacrificial" cow to a giant willingly, hoping that it'll appease them and make them not attack their livestock in the future.
You can actually encounter a farmer walking with a marked cow in the wilderness and they will tell you about it.
27:28
You sometimes encounter a farmer with a cow painted like the cow in the giant's camp. He tells you he would sometimes sacrifice cows to the giant's, so they don't rob and kill all of his animals. He paints the cows he gives to them so that the giants can tell the difference between the animals and understand that only the painted cows are gifts.
I love these series! Please do more!
maybe the rock is from when red mountain erupted
Adam Fletcher That is my fav theory!
Wrong kind of stone. However, it could have fallen from something like a floating island that might have dropped a spore that grew a crazy tree in Whiterun.
Kevin Sullivan Welp Skyrim is stage place
My friend, gorgeous videos. I tell you i am level 4 high elf just started a new character on legendary difficulty, with all the dlc installed and no mods. I will go thru each of your videos on each hold and in game go to each site!! Thank you for these insightful additions
I literally go to your video list and click play on any video. While in in hews bane in eso grinding materials ahaha. Literally makes the grind so much better listening to mysteries of skyrim. Thanks man :)
And here we have the bloody box, and I don't mean your girlfriend every mon- *static* HAHAHA
+SheathUnsheath Hehe glad you enjoyed it :)
Make ur own post were enjoying the bloodybox joke. And to shit on ur parade someone did just that got more attention and a reply from camelwork.
My good god man you are hilarious, most times I'm impressed by a video making me laugh stupidly once... You had me laughing like a moron a good 10+ times. (Must be the Aussie genes) STRAYA!
jackson edwards Haha awesome dude, glad I could make you laugh your arse off :)
Love your work mate, funny and entertaining from beginning to end. I don't often comment but I wanted you to know I enjoyed it.

SniffableEnd Gaming Thats how I rolllllllll
"I suppose this is a lesson to always wear heavy armor, for his light armor didn't do shit for him..."
bru I'm dead
I feel that "moby the mammoth" could be a star wars reference too, when Luke Skywalker sleeps inside a tauntaun as the skeleton is whole (rather than being in pieces, i dont think a mammoth could swallow a human or elf) and looks like its sleeping. Maybe someone tried to use a mammoth carcass to keep warm .... but it didnt work? lol Thanks for the video! :)
Amazing dude, love this series! Thank you. :)
As always a gewat and informative video. I played Skyrim for 500+ hours and keep learning new things becuase of you. Thanks for that and i hope you keep making your videos so great.
Rick Faassen Awesome man, glad I could show you something new :)
19:55 This may be a reference to the horror movie The Ring if you think about it
I. LOVE. THIS. SERIES!!!
DoubleMeTwo Thanks you, I love doing this series :)
22:35 I read the guard was probably the one caught and carried away by Odahviing during the ‘Catch a dragon’ quest in Dragonreach. The dragon must have dropped the poor guard…
That cow with the paint markings I've met a farmer who walks on a road with a cow just like that in white run. When you talk to him he says he's bringing the cow as a offering to a giant camp. It's been a tradition or something
I think that huge rock was a meteor that landed on them, nothing could have been able to throw that thing....
Candlecrush Rock theory... it's a reference to Morrowind lore, the Tribunal and the meteor thrown by Sheogorath
Mike Chladek it's not even called "candlecrush" it a cradlecrush
Sorry... autocorrect lol
With the cow that has been painted. If you are lucky you can find a farmer walking around with a live painted cow saying he needs to "make an offering"
just found your channel, and 3 days later u are still on my screen!
great vids.
you deserve my sub:)
I just found out your channel and I have to say that this series is really well made. I also have to mention this catchy name, just wonderful job, keep it up.
Peeacu Thank you very much. Glad I could present these hidden details of Skyrim in a well crafted manner.
They way you are talking about these curiosities is very enjoyable, at least for me :) Naturally you have deserved my subscribe :) Have fun in your creativeness and good luck in your future endeavors.
I think the rock might me to do with the civil war.. One of the skeletons is wearing the scaled helmet, which is a common piece of armor within the stormcloaks. The rock might've been launched by a catapult.
The helmet is eleven on mine.
Black flames31 Helmet by level, higher level, better helmet
Black flames31 Mine was twelve
Ah well I'll have to head back there and see, I haven't gone their in a. Long while
Pinking Gaming
I was lvl 81 and i got a scaled helmet.
I've logged a few hundred hours into Skyrim and I see new things in all of your videos, this one has the most. Thanks for doing this series.
Austin Lentz My pleasure mate! Glad you are enjoying it :)
Just of Noteworthy mention,
- Zenither is the god of work and commerce, so that my say something about the offerings found.
- I love your theory on the giant crab (That Crab is also a link to a mission you receive from Froki in Froki's Shack.
- The Equipable knife and fork is 1 of 2 sets, the other is found in honeyside (Riften home, when you buy the porch upgrade)
- And Finally, The Painted cow! There is a chance as a world encounter that you will find a giant and a painted cow, The painted cow is actually a peace offering given from farmers to the giants so they can leave peacefully
p.s. Keep up the good work Camel.
Anthony Nader Thanks man! I will keep up the good work :)
My guess for how the alchemist ended up there- he went to the Giants camp in hopes of getting Giant toes but realized the Giants were to hard to kill and ran from them but was not fast enough and was launched but one of the Giants and landed on the rocked
the alchemist was not on a rock
There are 2 different dead alchemists, if you recall. Storm edits is talking about the one on the rock below the waterfall. I think lillildipsy blank is talking about the one at the giant's feet at Cradlecrush Rock. A very minor mixup, no need for name calling.
A fudgemuppet/camelworks collab video would be awesome.
Samsung Shoebrain we need a Tamriel Online review between them 2
This was really fleshed out and interesting. Great video!
7:44 Maybe it was Jon Battle-Born, he is also bard and he lives in Whiterun. 10:06 I've just realise this. When you enter the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary first time and wait in the room with spider, Babette will speak with Gabriella about Gabriella's contract and she said it was good idea to hide a body in mammoth.
0:44 the map misspelled Rorikstead
the art on the cow is used for offerings to giants, you can see farmers taking some cows to the giants.
I was looking for this comment
thanks for upload! love this series
You really deserve more Subscribers/Viewers its unbelivable how much work this takes. You are by far the best RUclipsr if found in a looong time! :) Keep up the good work.
gehirnmuffin98 Thank you ever so much mate! There is days of time and work goes into these videos :) Glad you are enjoying them mate!
What if someone had some sick telekinesis skills and threw that rock
I think it was a meteorite.
immoralnight98 Maybe a group of giants got the rock and threw it at the group. Then the other giants just left.
Um take humans and compare their sizes relatively to the proportions of the rock and giant now what if you had a rock the same size as the bolder to a human would a group of humans be able to throw it
Also there would be a much larger crater than that if that was a meteor
***** it wasnt a group of peole, its only one person that got smashed, you can see that there is 2 legs in the back and the rest of the guys is in the front, its supposed to be humoristic
"A table, a fire, a horse, a cart and a whole bunch of other shit" -Camel 2015

I find that in Skyrim there are a lot of unexplained rocks that seem to have fallen out of nowhere, such as in the waters, the boats seem to have been broken and buried under rocks, I'm thinking they're rocks that have fallen from the sky either in the eruption or maybe during some war where the rocks were catapulted, or dropped by dragons maybe. Some are probably from falling mountain rocks as we've seen in Winterhold. Not sure, but definitely something about rocks falling for some reason.
It's amazing what you can find in this game years after it was released! I love your series
Isaac Baker It truly is awesome what is hiding around.

ThePuppymaster Haha I had a beastly 9 and half hours of footage to smelt down into this 30 minute video!

Great vid. Would you ever do some lore videos?
Ross C Yeah I would, not extensive long one but kind short informative one.
Ross C Go to Shoddycast. They have a lot of skyrim and fallout lore videos.
Loving these videos :) keep up the good work. It's like a tour of skyrim, I love it :)
Woot! Loved it! Can't wait until the next one!
Mikki Muench Awesome man, glad you enjoyed it :)
Call me crazy, but Camel’s voice somehow sounds deeper in this video than it does in his other videos
I noticed that with all his CCC vids
Who are you? Where are the bad puns? Why do you sound like the main character of an action movie?
these are amazing we need more people like you
I love this series, please do more!
Why was that whiterun guard dressed as a traitor?
***** He wasn't in imperial gear?
***** It appears he finished the civil war quests as stormcloak because I just see regular whiterun guards as I beat it as an imperial.
***** Imperial dogs.
+Morgan Aramburu war dogs.

Once more, excellent work on the vid and hope you're doing good.
TheFlygonproductions Thank you very much my good friend! I am doing well but my computer got hit with a huge electrical surge and has put Camelworks out of action for awhile
