The rubber seals wont be the slightest bit bothered by the water, their waterproof, its all the bare metal in the hydraulic system like the inner areas of the cylinders the seals operate in, if allowed to have water or moisture start the rust process then the seals get damaged by the pits and ridges of rust in normally glass smooth metal surfaces
If you have water in the hydraulic system you're in trouble it's going to ruin the rubber seals
