Afterward the seals said every single thing this lady told us about the inside of the house and who was were was 100% correct. She told them how many people lived on each floor and told them who they were. She was correct on all points. Then imagine not only did they take out Bin Laden but they returned with his body!!! Talk about a successful mission.
I love Chris Pratt, no matter what hes talking about guns or helicopters, he comes off like his character in Parks and Rec
😂
It sounds like a helicopter but if its near you it sounds like its miles away. You can not stop the blades from chopping the air so you can only redirect the sound away. The helicopter at 30 feet away sounds like a helicopter well in the distance and at night you are less likely to perceive it as a threat and that is in dead quiet.
Yup.. I didn't hear the helo until it was right on top of me. I was at Black Mail Box on Hwy 375 last year looking at the mountain range of Area 51.. coming down the Hwy 375 two sets of double green lights,, no sound. It was a moonless night, and I never saw this object what ever it was,, just hear solf rotor blades..I got scared,, and I thought it was finally a UFO.. still unsure.. it was either the Black Hawk or Ghost Black Hawk. I did ask Bald Mountain to send me some thing,, that night,, I guess they heard me..
How?
Zero Dark Thirty is and always will be my favorite movie
Is it still? Not that anything better has been produced since then.
damn this makes this movie seem so bad ass. But the best part of the movie is the last 20 minutes with the Seals.
indeed
The most historic war achievements since ww2 have remained secret. Seals/SAS/SBS etc. Which are the original modern special forces have done far more than we know, between the USA and UK alone, they haven't just done a dozen missions between them in 75 years, there has been more than just the obl raid, Iranian embassy siege and saving the oil tanker in the English channel a few weeks ago.
Obscurity is an advantage in this field.
I love it when they do practical sets/effects/props
love how he says its sucha spectacle lol this whole featurette is about just the last 10 mins of the movie (which was still obviously the best part)
It’s nice to finally see Burt Macklin in action!
Funny thing is....now that I remember, we did have the 3 dot filters for our laser sights on my last tour in Afghanistan. Lol
People don't appreciate the fact that this movie intended to do more than simply show the raid. It was supposed to be a commentary on the vast amount of time and effort spent locating this guy. What the SEALs did was impressive and effective, but that's not the whole sorry. Also, a fucking fma safety lite? If all you know is repro don't comment when someone asks a gear related question.
People don't appreciate the fact that this movie intended to do
I'm waiting for someone to say it's an UH-80 Ghosthawk lmao
The Helos look like the Arma 3 UH-80 Ghost Hawk
They were designed off of previous attempts at this helicopter
Rabbuttlauncher no wayyyyy
Great film!
UH 80 GhostHawk from Arma 3, lovin it!
@ AgentD Presty....You would never know if you had an IR laser pointed at your forehead without night vision. That's why we use NVGs along with them.
I.R. chem light its basically a glowstick that is night vision compatable
good movie like the seals
In his book, the shooter Rob O'Neill said he used the 2 tube NVG's over the ones the other guys wore
You can have three laser dots on your forhead and you won't know. Isn't that predator?!?!
the inferred laser is actually a PEQ 15
Hooten Young here. Co-founded by Norm Hooten, real-life Special Ops MSG (ret.) or "Hoot" played by Eric Bana in Black Hawk Down. We've created a cigar selection called Operation Neptune Spear, made to honor those who served in this very mission. No men quite like them... Check it out.
I'm in this, at the 0:23 mark, I'm sitting on the ground and afterwards I got to have a shoot with one of the guns
role?
Not really because IRL's and NVG's have been out for years and every country has wither their own variant or they bought them off of us. As for the Stealth Hawk...There's no way the government is going to let that cat out of the bag.
I found this more entertaining that the actualy trailer. The trailer hardly shows any actor in it?!?
Where did the shooting of the raid took place ?
Annapurna studio in Hyderabad
This isn't twitter y'know. And I realized that the lasers are infrared, I'm just makin' a Predator reference.
Pakistan Air Force and Air Defense came to know the minute US Helicopters started moving from Jalalabad. Also US informed Pakistan but when they already were entered Pakistani air space.
And Pak army circulated all area before US heli.
reached Abbotabad. Only mistake was to not to shot down these toys. Giving them way to do operation.
Nothing is stealthy..
at 0:43 whats that red thing on joel edgarton?
FMA Safty lite.
Zero Saints Thirty anyone?
those GPNVG-18s are not 180' FOV.
and inb4 holy crap all of the Cryes in AOR1, LBT gear and the Ops-core Maritime FAST Ballistic helmets ladidada
this movie was boring as hell until they actually conducted operation neptune spear.
I actually liked the Intel gathering and rest of it. Although a bit unrealistic with the whole Maya doing everything I think it was still pretty cool. And of course the raid was the highlight of movie. :)
I'm pretty critical of movies myself, but I have no idea what you're talking about. This film is fantastic. Extremely well made with great casting.
what is the name of the helicopter??????
Zero dark 30 isn't 30 minutes past midnight. It's just a generic term for really early in the morning or really late at night.
e.g. "Our CO's an asshole so he had us at the armory at zero dark 30 on a Saturday to draw weapons for a field op."
Zero (zero) 30 IS 12:30am (Military time 0030)
0030 is not synonymous with 0 dark 30. I'm more than familiar with military time and jargon. Appreciate the input, though.
Katzenjammers over time, meanings transform, so zero dark thirty originally meant 0030.
dboydev
It doesn't matter what words used to mean. The word "meat" used to be defined as all foods, not just the fleshy ones. Do you still use that definition? No. Because that's not what it means anymore. Zero dark thirty does not mean 30 minutes past midnight, regardless of what it used to mean.
Katzenjammers Then what does it mean?
Jesus all that AOR1, pure sexy.
Ikr
This film is usa dramatic movie huh
I would've recommended that they looked more at the RAH-66 Sikorsky. aka "Commanche" which is a stealth/recon helicopter. This looks more like a box-cart version of a blackhawk
What do you mean? As in they should have used the Sikorsky because it a stealth helicopter and that the one's they used looks like box-cart Blackhawk?
They based it off the leaked image of the new stealth Blackhawk used in the raid.
People
They military should produce the helicopter (and reactivate the Comanche helicopter)
This Helicopter Proves How much The U.S Government Technology they hide in Area 51!😳
Probably they re-engineering alien technology
Amazing equipment..however recent events in Kabul 2021...with a bunch of guys in pickup trucks & AK47's 🤔
the say that the GPNVG-18s have a 180 degree view angle, it's only 97...
+Gio LoFranco nope, check the TNVC website, GPNVG-18s have 97 degree FOV
Actually according to the Mark Bowden book, the ones that DEVGRU use are classified tech, and gives you about 150 degree view
Sucks.. Everyone knows the seals did it and they know all there gear.. Well dumb idea to publicize it like this. Poor seals must feel there in danger. And now country's know of our technology....
Imagen this serving in the RAF and fhe royal army air corp with the RAF insignia on it and in rl
so these guys actually BECAME secondrate SEALs for the movie?...
Yes, they were trained by real ones, except for some who had already had military experience, my dad is one of them, and he's in the movie and trained the guys along with Barry who is also from the military, I was with them too when this was all going on, it was fun meeting a real ex-navy seal too
Their gear is a mostly the same as the other 2 SMUs besides maritime stuff
and the raid itself is about 10 min in the movie...........pffff
they wasted all the fight scenes, because it was all dark, couldnt see shit in the movie
Maybe you should have seen it in cinema, not on pirates bay ;-)
ZERO DARK THRITY
Now we airsofting this like a Bitch...minus the Helos and the NVG's and random dog
He looks fine for the part but it really bothered me when he spoke.
Why don't the Pakistan police agree with you then? They were pissed of about the whole thing so I don't think they would cover up for USA.
Incase, Taliban doesn't know what kind of rich Military treasure, Americans have left them with... then this video could be helpful.
