I really cant tell you, Mine was just 2 side clips and the unit came right out, It fits snugly inside that pocket, and appeared to be water tight. also as you seen that area was never touched before, that's why I was cleaning the area up. I never needed to pull the ECM before that day. to send to the tuner. I'm not saying your wrong I just didn't need to remove any bolts or screws, Just lift the 2 side clips.
Nice thanks for the vid! Just bought a 2011 S4. It's very clean and solid. Went through the auction though so I don't know if it's been tuned. All I know is it has Stasis exhaust and it's lowered on H&R springs. Also, the Drive Select doesn't work (is it supposed to or was it maybe disabled because of a tune? There's a button but it doesn't do anything) Is there any way to know if it has been tuned? Thanks in advance for any help!!
@@r2swift404 I searched through the mmi and there's nothing for drive select. I also noticed when the mmi boots up it says "Audi A5". Thought that was strange..

Isnt there normally two screws or bolts on the ECU that you have to take off somehow? Why was there nothing holding yours on?

how did you actually get the ecu off after you found it? everything seems to be welded on
