Thanks for all you do. Really enjoy watching you work. I am new to the TSFI. Just bought a 2010 A5 and already have a CEL for the manifold. So I will be upgrading that. Would love to see some of your landscaping work. Thanks again cheers
Great video! I just got a 2011 A4 B8 2.0t quattro, and for some reason when i step on the gas pedal it has some lag before it starts getting speed, it almost feels like it could bog out. I'm use to working on B5 & B6 models, but that's about it, so this car seems almost new to me. There were no codes to go off of from vagcom until yesterday. The one code it's throwing now is "p218100 Cooling System Performance active/static". I was thinking of starting with the water pump/thermostat, if it solves the problem, perfect, if not, at least I know it's been done (and its not to expensive). There's no leaks (external) that I can see, and the car seems to hold coolant well (according to the reservoir). I've been watching a lot of your videos lately, so I can get to know the car better, since you know these cars better than anyone I know, I would love to know what your opinion is on the stalling thing. It does seem to lack power while driving i feel. I've drove a hand full of A4 B5/B6 1.8t's and they're snappy and I can hear the turbo spool... I dont hear much from the turbo, but I wasn't sure if it's just not as noticeable on the B8's. I did a test on the waste gate actuator with 20 PSI and it actuates. The plugs look good (kinda black) and no oil on the coil packs. I also put a new air filter in. I think that about all I have checked so far. Thanks again for everything, keep up the amazing work!
Are there 2 coolant temperature sensors? I just replaced the 1 by the water pump, and i keep having this code p18062 says to check diagnostic troubleshooting code for the memory of the ECU, what does this mean?

Thank you. I have oil leak from the lower timing cover and I am unsure whether I can do it myself or not. I already did the upper one. But, I dunno whether I'll be able to take the crank pulley out.
Was looking for a video on doing just the thermostat without pulling the pump . I was able to do it , not much room to work , I got it done but pulling the pump would have probably taken less time .
Your video helped me a lot with this repair. I was sick at the time & freezing by the time I was wrapping it up. I brain farted & filled the throttle body hose with coolant. When I tried to start the car the next day I saw a small puff of smoke after it quit turning over. Can you tell me which parts I fried? It won’t try to turn over after that initial attempt to start.
Thanks, helpful. trying to figure out my coolant temp sensor, and looks like this is one of the few years its bolted to the water pump instead of that EZ PZ clip you slide on and off, so not sure wtf to do there lol.
