Reid just seems like the best teacher. Gotta be a top notch guy! I wanna train with him one day.
awesome stuff I've always wanted to train at the great valor ridge
You should!
Rifle Immersion: Mid-Range Rifle was the best class I have ever taken. It was fantastic and satisfying to stretch the AK with just a red dot. Great video!
I need to get out there with an AK.
@@Tier1Citizen AK's a different gun to an AR. Most people fuck up the reloads when they start out. I know I did.
Reid explains things very well, top notch instructor. So is Abner.
Reid's a Marine. He breaks it down for everyone
Have a lot of respect for Reid and look forward to attending training at Valor Ridge one day. Fast transition there, Mr. Miranda!
I would love ta train with Reid. True American patriot! Thanks for the share!!
Hookin and fookin jabbing Marines outstanding!!!
👍💯👍💯👍💯👍💯👍!!!!
Old Reid never lets us ak lovers down 😎
Nice shooting btw Abner. Nice video as well 👍🏿
Clearly I need to get out there with an AK.
reid seems like a solid instructor
He's the tops dude.
I’ve taken three classes there. Absolutely solid teacher.
Met Reid a couple years back. Cool guy. Learned good AK stuff from him.
He's a fellow Marine, grunt machine gunner or motorman I believe... We've spoken over the phone and emails throughout the years... I'd go through Iraq and Afghanistan with him any day of the week... AKs are his new speciality... Patriot nurse is is GF/Wife right? I've never asked but I recognize the setup and area looks the same...
@@dragontalontsiawd Pretty sure he was a mortorman. I forget
@@dan2198 yeah same here I can't remember 100%, I remember when we first spoke we ragged on POGs but he didn't know I was comm lol
@@dragontalontsiawd I mean, if the radios are fucked, how do we bitch to you guys about the "work" you do?
Dragon Talon TSi AWD except the fact he had the chance to go but got out right before the invasion😂 also if he is so religious why is he living w his gf?
Excellent instruction...nice video
Thanks for the video, Abner.
My pleasure!
nice
Good stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it
How does the shooter have his GoPro mounted?
It's a SONY HDR AS-15 and it's mounted to my hearing pro with industrial Velcro.
Good idea. I’m using a GoPro and I’m still exploring the best positions.
One of the reason I never went with GoPro was because it's a box that stick out on everything it's applied to. The Contour was great but it lacked on clarity and audio. The SONY is the best balance of everything.
Do you like the Acog for that close? I have one but I’m thinking about getting a red dot. I’d like to train with Reid, he seems cool and a great instructor
I don't like the ACOG this close. This is a new reticle pattern that I wanted to try and see if I could make it work up close. It's the one with the inverted horse shoe and dot. I think it's called ACSS. Anyways, it was a rolling wreck up close. Also, at distance the dot size they chose was way too large for accuracy. Yes, you need to train with Reid, he is phenomenal.
What distance are you shooting this transition drill at?
Just a little bit past 7 yards.
Were you shooting the 7.5?
Abner had an 11.5
I was running an 11.3" SBR with a flash can on the end.
the guy on the end is pretty fast! 😂😂
He sure is :)
Only thing is that little dance at the end of the rep... that's not really "scanning". I think focusing on the mechanics of the drill and skipping that would be best. If you really have just shot someone, that little wiggle isn't going to be sufficient for scanning your environment
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I agree with you that a full scan would be best for picking up information and breaking tunnel vision. However sometimes you need to focus on the mechanical portion of a drill, as you say, and not so much the "routine". But I would still want to at least mime a scan to keep it baked into muscle memory that "I just shot someone, I assessed him, now I will scan my surrounds". If you make it a "sometimes task" when practicing other things you won't fall back to it when you're under stress, or will only do so less reliably.
Where can I find the ammo video that was put up a few hours ago?
It already sold.
RUclips unsubscribed me from Rieds channel
Yeah, they hate guys like us.
