We first drove the Jeep Wrangler 4xe when it launched in 2022, as an Unlimited Rubicon. Fastforward to 2024 and we get a small facelift, bringing a new grille, a larger 12" uConnect 5 infotainment screen, some different interior air vents, and this new Willys trim. Positioned as the second trim in the Wrangler 4xe lineup, this entry-level off-roader gets some Rubicon treatments without spending Rubicon money. While our test vehicle comes in at around $75,000 CAD, almost all the options were selected on it which isn't representative of what the average consumer would be looking at.
Nile and Victor hit the road with this vehicle to see if the update brings more than just a few cosmetic updates along with the overall drive, ride, and feel of this vehicle. Some performance testing along with the fuel efficiency results are discussed along with our overall thoughts on this SUV. Is it the Wrangler for you? Let us know in the comments below!

Great video !
Glad you enjoyed it
Your tester 4xE seems to be rather quiet. Another channel tested three sets of tyres on a Ford F150 Lightning. They tested some very road-friendly tyres, a sort of partially on-road/off-road model, and finally some monster mudders. They encountered a lot of difference in terms of sound levels...naturally...but also they saw significant differences in battery power consumption. All in all, Jeep seems to have made a very good call of tyres for THIS particular vehicle.
I'm quite surprised by the road noise also. I mis-remembered which Wrangler 4xe I drove before, it was actually a Rubicon, so the ride and road noise on this would be similar, but I did find it much better than expected. Maybe tire manufacturers have improved the road noise, I know some off-new Chevy TrailBoss and GMC AT4 pickup trucks sound like you're driving on highway rumble strips the entire time, but this Jeep was really good.
I have the 2024 4xe Willy’s it’s a blast off road and on road it’s actually a fast buggy that kicks my buddies 4 Runners but nothing but tail lights and off road he had to take a detour and he packed in fuel but not me lol
Glad to hear it!
I have a 2021 Jeep wrangler Sahara I put 33 in falken wildpeaks no lift and she drives incredible on the tar Mac I don’t know if I’ve managed to get a unicorn it drives really well
Glad to hear it!
Interesting that the Willys 4XE comes with a locking fuel door while the plain ICE models have an exposed gas cap.
Chrysler never ceases to amaze us.
That is required for all PHEVs
5:18 "That's putting it lightly," the Wrangler is arguably the worst on-road vehicle in the market, but as you say Nile, "Jeeple" know this and don't seem to care. When they're suffering on the 401 in February, they console themselves with dreams of topless off-roading in Baja.
Pretty much 🤣 as someone who's road-tripped one of these from Québec to Toronto I can say first hand how brutal the on-road experience is. It's a feature!
The dealer charges 2300$ to replace
To replace what?

Ah! Good to know. Definitely on the pricey side of things.
