Star Trek Online has announced that they have done an update the USS Vengeance skin in game. I take a look at the before and after of the skin, and the new decal options that will be available.

In preparation for the update, I decided to give my ship a new name, and apply the build I've been using on my other cruisers to the Vengeance.
Beam Overload with Kelvin Phasers looks and feels so good on it. If you ever wanted to look cool while broadsiding, that's how you do it.
EDIT: ALSO YES! DO A FOoS FOR THIS!! Those videos are the #1 reason behind me grinding for any ship.

Looks good. I've never really been a fan of the Vengeance but the improvement in quality is noticeable and appreciable regardless.

The pin-stripping on 1b and 2b is what we call in the U.S. Army as subdued if that is more of the style you are looking for!!! Thank you for this video, brother!!!

Now, the Real Question: Pinstripes+Federation Type 0 Hull...
Maybe you should try those darker decals with some of the other skins. It might be interesting with either the Constitution or Type-0 skins.
Are the "ball"-weapons on the enginesection now be used as waepon points? Bothers me a bit, my dual-beam build only uses the outside of the saucer section for forward energy waepons on the current skin.
I hope they add the updates seen on the Enterprise from Beyond too for the Kelvin connie. Maybe even add the A refit upgrade pretty please.

I love the option to switch between black and white lettering. I hope they can do that with more ships. I hate the white lettering on the Discovery ships, especially when you switch to a TOS skin, and would definitely appreciate the option to make them black.
I just hope they change the points the weapons use to fire to something more plausible.
What date will this new Vengeance be available? On the STO site it said season 18?
Guess I have another reason to redo my alien-gen FedRom now lol (miss out on the trait, but get the Heart of Sol AND Vengeance dreadnought to boot).

My Vengeance class is a ship I am not getting on with, looks wise. This update will make the USS William Wallace frickin' POP, BITCHES!!!! Can't wait for it to come out.
That update is a huge improvement over the old one. The color scheme looked weird. I had to change the color of my ship to make it look somewhat decent. The new update gives the ship life and a identity. Can't wait to get back to space dock.

Woulda been nice if they also added more weapon hardpoints while they were at it T.T
i'm actually glad they didn't. This class was designed with sliding doors to hide weapon slots like a stealth fighter keeps its munitions "interior" to keep cloaked. Personal preference I suppose Capt.
When will this new material be on the game?
Nice update. I'd personally would like them to add all the Discovery era materials to older ships. I don't really care for a lot of the original materials for most ships especially on the fed side. The patterns always look like someone just kinda slapped them on and said good enough.
Thank goodness this is going retroactively to the ones who has a Kelvin Dread (like me) as well.

I was thinking that in one upcoming Star Trek movie is where the Vengeance gets rebuilt to become the Excelsior. Is there a reason for that opening (hole) in the saucer?

Was never fond of the huge bridge windows on the Vengeance. Looks like it spans many floors. And this WAS a dedicated warship, why such a huge window anyway? Especially since it looks out at ship. And presumably windows into crew quarters? :::: Black pin-striping is for if you use a light colored skin. ::: I still await a Fresh out of Spacedock using the Bennie Hill music. ;)

That's probably my favorite ship in the whole Star Trek universe, I'd definitely love to see more stuff about it, there are many ships I liked so I bought for collection purpose but that's definitely my favorite one, and I like the update they did, to bad it's not available for PS4 yet.
Whatever material they used on that back "window" (as you think it may be), they should use for the bridge as well. In my opinion, the redesign hull looks better, the nacelle glow looks worse, and the bridge is HEINOUS.

XD this ship is How big again? XD that is literally a Two story house size Window for the bridge... also i LOVE the new Hull color, it makes it look more deadlier... plus the pattens look similer to the Enterprise D style... but the darker Blue of the Nacelle's lights... just... AWE... the different Color Impulse drive is... ok and i guess its nice... i really like the new Model Update

It was my understanding that windows were a weak point in structural integrity. Why, then, would you put more windows on a dreadnaught? On the bridge of all places! Unless I am mistaken, and windows are not a weak point, adding them made me give it a thumbs down.
Blame JJ Abrams on that. He thought it looked better from a cinematic perspective to be able to look at the crew moving about from the outside shots. I prefer a fully enclosed bridge too.
Least favorite ship in Star Trek. It's like a fantasy a child would have after watching TOS. A 10 year old child.
